"Alright, love," Hook agreed, wrapping one arm around her and heading outside with her. He'd borrow a carriage to get them back to his ship.
Rachel leaned against him a bit, enjoying the contact.
"It'll be nice to get back and just settle in," she said softly. |
"I'm sure," Hook said quietly as he managed to get a carriage for them. "Anything else I can do? Or do you just want to settle in once we get back?"
"I think just settling in is best," Rachel said. She kissed his cheek. "But I appreciate the offer."
Hook smiled a bit and pulled her closer, settling in for the ride back to the ship with her. Then he got out, helped her out of the carriage, and let her go settle in for the night.
Rachel let him help her out of the carriage and onto the ship. Then she went into her room (because at this point, it was hers) and changed out of her gown. Once she was in a comfortable shirt and pants, she came back out, absently tying her hair back with a ribbon.
Hook had settled into his room and sprawled out there, not changed other than having tossed the coat off to the side. He hadn't figured he'd have company, after all.
Rachel just watched him for a moment before knocking quietly on the doorframe.
"Mind if I come in?" she asked. |
Hook lifted his head to look at her, surprised. "Of course," he said, putting his head back down. "Come in."
Rachel padded into the room and went over to settle in next to him.
"I feel a bit better now," she said softly. "It's nowhere near as loud and bright, here, so my head's not pounding as much." |
"Good," Hook said, giving her space to settle in and then settling his arm around her. "Long as you're comfortable."
Rachel cuddled close to him, closing her eyes for a bit.
"Thanks for going with me tonight," she said. |
"Any time, love," Hook said, holding her a bit tighter. He yawned briefly, settling in there.
Rachel squirmed a bit to get comfortable, and then settled in with her head on his shoulder. It didn't take her long to drift off to sleep.
Hook stayed awake for a little while longer but ended up drifting off anyway.
He did, however, wake up first, yawning quietly and getting comfortable again. |
Rachel stirred a bit when he moved, and she opened her eyes a bit.
"Morning," she murmured to him. |
"Morning," Hook greeted her quietly. "Sleep well, love?"
"I did," Rachel replied, smiling a bit. She cuddled a bit closer to him.
"Good." Hook settled in again, just kind of relaxing again. "It feels too early to get up."
"It probably is," Rachel replied. She sighed softly as she relaxed. "Staying right here sounds like a wonderful idea."
"Then we shan't get up." Hook grinned as he settled down again, moving one leg to set them swinging gently in the hammock.
Rachel smiled a bit and put a small kiss on his cheek before setting in. The gentle swaying of the hammock felt good, and she closed her eyes.
Hook didn't get back to sleep, but he did relax there for a while.
When sunshine started coming in the porthole, though, he figured he should get up. |
Rachel whined a bit and held on when he started to get up, but eventually let him go. She didn't want to stop cuddling, but she knew there were things that needed to get done.
Hook let her sleep for a little while longer while he took care of some things and rounded up breakfast for them.
