"Seriously," Rachel said, grinning. "Though it should be interesting to see what happens now that I'm not as bad as I was anymore."
"Yea really. I bet it won't take him long at all to notice." Tina grinned a bit.
"Of course not, he's Rumplestiltskin," Rachel said. "He probably knows my magic better than I do."
"He certainly seems to know mine better," Tina groused a bit. She stretched out briefly before relaxing again.
"He's had ages to study magic," Rachel said. "If it can be done, he can do it, I think."
"I like that 'I think' tacked on at the end," Tina joked.
Rachel grinned.
"Well, I've never heard of any upper limits to what he can do," she said. "That doesn't mean there aren't any." |
"Very true."
Tina stretched out a bit and settled in there, grinning briefly at Rachel. "Well, we'll see how training goes for both of us." |
Rachel nodded.
"Yeah," she said. She stretched a bit, idly shoving her braid back over her shoulder. Her hair was very long, now, but she still refused to cut it. |
"You're going to get sick of that again very soon," Tina said with a bit of a grin, nodding to the braid.
"Definitely," Rachel said. "But I'm not going to cut it. Not yet, at least."
"See how long you can put up with it for?" Tina shook her head a bit. "I'd say put it in a bun but I think it's actually too heavy for that."
"It's not a matter of how long I can put up with it," Rachel admitted. "It's a... quirk, in my magic. The longer my hair gets, the stronger my magic is."
"But even still, how long you can put up with it, and how strong you want your potential." Tina shrugged.
"I need to figure out where I am right now," Rachel said. "If I'm in a good place, I'll keep it this length."
Tina nodded. "Well, I'm sure you'll have a good idea after your next visit with Gold."
"Right," Rachel replied, nodding. "That's the plan."
Tina nodded and stayed there for a bit longer.
"Well, pick when you want to come for your next lesson, and I'll tell Gold when I head back." |
"May as well no put it off," Rachel said. "As soon as possible is probably a good idea."
"Well just pick a day. Tomorrow, day after..." Tina shrugged.
"Day after is fine," Rachel said. "Give everyone a chance to prepare. Sound good to you?"
"Yup. I'll let Gold know." Tina grinned a bit. "And I'll let him know that he'll have two students for a while, until I think I'm competent enough to not let it get away from me."
Rachel grinned as well.
"Good," she said. She gave her friend a hug. "It won't be as bad as you think, you might even start to like having a bit of magic. It's useful, sometimes." |
"Well, we'll see," Tina said with a shrug. "For now, we'll just see if I can actually use it well enough to do anything useful."
Rachel nodded.
"Well, I won't keep you any longer, then," she said. "Promise not to tell anyone about me just yet?" |
