"Nice. Productive." Tina smiled a bit. "I got some cocoa powder and some clothes, so I should be set for a little while."
Hook settled her more firmly, relaxing. This was very nice. |
"Good to hear," Gold said.
Rachel ended up falling asleep there, snuggled in comfortably. |
Tina was quiet as she drank her tea, keeping an eye on him to make sure he really was okay.
|
A few weeks later found Gold back in his workshop, just experimenting with a few things. With Tina's permission, he'd harvested a few things from her greenhouse and was working on making them into workable magic ingredients.
Elsewhere, Rachel and Killian were on the trail of something that sounded rather interesting and sparkly. |
Tina was out in her greenhouse checking on her cocoa plants, which were growing slowly. But that was fine with her.
Until she decided it was tea time and took a tray down to Gold. Hook was pleased with the exploring and going after shiny things again, and he was even more pleased to be able to do this with Rachel. |
Gold looked up when he saw Tina and gave her a small smile.
"Ah, thank you," he said when she put the tea tray down. Rachel was learning quite a bit as she adventured with Killian. It took a few days to really get the hang of keeping the ship under control at night when they needed to sleep, but she figured it out and things worked smoothly now. |
"My pleasure." Tina picked a safe spot to sit, settling in with her own cup.
"You look like you're enjoying yourself," Hook commented, watching her. |
Gold enjoyed his tea for a moment and then reached over onto his work table and picked something up. It glittered in the light, and he held it out to her.
"Here," he said. "I was experimenting a bit with gold thread, I thought you might like what became of it." It was a thick, sturdy bracelet made of gold thread woven around itself many times. The weaving was intricate, and there seemed to be no beginning or end; it flowed seamlessly in a perfect circle. "I am," Rachel said, smiling at him. "I'm having a wonderful time." |
Tina's eyes widened a bit at that, and she took it after a moment. "Wow," she murmured. "This is fantastic. Thank you." She slid it over her wrist easily before leaning over to kiss his cheek.
"Good," Hook murmured. "I'm glad." And he really meant that. |
"My pleasure," Gold replied as she put it on. He smiled gently when she kissed his cheek. "I was hoping you would like it."
Rachel grinned. "Are you glad I came with you?" she asked. |
Tina grinned. "I do. Very much so." She kissed his cheek again, just for the hell of it.
"Very much so," Hook said with a little grin. "Especially since you seem to be enjoying yourself." |
Gold smiled and leaned in to give her a proper kiss. It wasn't something he did all that often, but he did occasionally initiate kisses himself.
"Are you enjoying yourself?" Rachel asked, going over to give him a quick kiss. |
Tina blinked at the kiss, and then blinked again when something swept over them, power tingling along her skin.
"Oh, yes," Hook assured her, giving her another quick kiss. "Very much so." |
Gold wasn't too surprised when he felt the wash of magic. He'd half-expected it to happen.
"Easy, dear," he murmured, maneuvering her onto a stool when she wobbled a bit. "Good," Rachel replied, "I'm glad." She grinned. "Now, where are we off to?" |
Tina blinked at that, sorting quickly through the memories she'd just gotten back. "That..." She looked at him again her eyes widening a bit. "That was unexpected."
"Finding something shiny for you," Hook said cheerfully. "After that we'll find somewhere else to explore." |
"Ah... I had a feeling it might happen soon," Gold admitted as he gave her a moment to get her bearings again. "How are you feeling?"
Rachel grinned, blushing a little. "You don't need to find me shiny things," she said. "But I appreciate the gesture." |
"Alright," Tina said cautiously. "Not much different."
Hook grinned. "Come no, love, I wouldn't be a very good pirate if I didn't go after shiny things." |
"I didn't expect you would," Gold said. "Is it all coming back to you alright?"
"This is true," Rachel admitted, grinning. She kissed him again. "Not that I didn't learn how to spin thread into gold or anything." |
Tina nodded. "Yeah. No problems here." She tapped her temple with one finger. "Although doing this once will definitely be enough for me."
Hook snorted. "That's much too easy," he teased. |
"Once is all that is required," Gold replied with a small smile. "The curse is broken now."
"Oh, so you just want the challenge, I see," Rachel teased in return. |
"Finally," Tina muttered, shaking her head a bit as she settled into the new/old memories as well. "That's disconcerting."
"It is a pretty good incentive," Hook agreed, grinning. |
"I've heard," Gold replied. Gently, he took her hand. "Take your time and sort through things."
"Well, then, what's the challenge of this particular shiny thing?" Rachel asked, grinning back. |
Tina nodded, taking his hand gratefully. She figured it was going to take a bit of time to adjust anyway, but this way she had a nice little anchor while she went through the new-old memories.
"It's far away, hidden somewhere up a mountain, and supposedly guarded by something," Hook said with a grin. "That's challenge enough for me." |
"Come on, dear, how about we go upstairs and have some tea while you settle?" Gold suggested gently.
"Something shiny up hidden up on a mountain guarded by something?" Rachel asked. "I don't know about you, but that kind of screams 'dragon treasure' to me. That's a hell of a challenge." |
Tina nodded, keeping hold of his hand as she got up to head upstairs.
"No, no dragons, I have a 'no dragon' policy." Hook grinned. "Dragons are just too much." |
