"Yeah, I noticed that too," Tina agreed. "Red looks good on her, though."

"Yeah," Rachel said. She grinned. "Lucky bitch, isn't she? Not everyone looks that good in red. I know I don't."

Tina nodded her agreement. "Red is not my color, either. Not that I'd wear it. I mean, I'm amazed she got away with red in the forest, it shows up like crazy."

Rachel shook her head a bit.

"People already kind of knew her," she said. "At least, I think so. She didn't have to blend in when everyone knew she wandered around from time to time."

"True," Tina admitted. She'd always preferred to wear browns and greens, herself, but that was okay.

"Okay, I'm bushed. I think I'm going to go settle in for the night and get some reading done."

"Alright, sleep well," Rachel said. "I'll see you in the morning."

"Night." Tina went back to her room, mostly shutting the door and getting settled in.

Rachel went the next morning to see about the job at the school. When she got there, though, she was told it was already taken. So she ended up wandering through town until she got to the library, and when she got there, she went in and tried to curl up with a book for a while.

Tina went over to Gold's shop after checking in at the police station and finding that the position was indeed still open if she wanted to apply. She'd filled out an application, managed a shy smile for Emma, and had hurried over to Gold's shop, taking her time walking down the street to enjoy the sunshine.

This time, Gold was at the counter going through a box of trinkets when he heard the door open. He looked up.

"Ah, Tina, welcome back," he said. "I trust your trip was successful."

"Indeed it was," Tina said with a smile, walking straight over to the counter. "Any luck with the library job or not yet?"

"I think that's a question more suited for the woman who runs the library," Gold said. "I talked to her, but I think it's always best to ask about a job in person, don't you?"

Tina gave him a bit of a Look. "Usually when there's a job to be found, yes," she agreed. Then she huffed and shook her head, grinning briefly. "Although I guess I should have expected that from you. You don't give straight answers."

Gold just shrugged. He couldn't deny it; she was right.

"I still think you should talk to Belle," he said.

"Alright, alright, I will," Tina said, holding up her hands in mock-defeat. "You have any plans for lunch tomorrow?"

"None of which I am aware," Gold replied. "Am I correct in assuming you want to have lunch together again?" He grinned a bit.

"Yes. I'll bring lunch." Tina smiled. "Give me a few ideas and I'll make something tonight." Because she'd been without a kitchen for almost two weeks now so she needed to get back up to speed.

"I really don't have a preference," Gold replied. Which was true, mostly. "Surprise me."

Tina grinned, positively delighted with the open menu. "Alright. I'll see you tomorrow then." Because as much as she wanted to stay and chat she did still have to talk to Belle.

"I look forward to it," Gold replied, nodding to her.

Tina nodded and left the shop again, heading over to the library to see if she could find Belle.

"Belle?" she called. "You in here somewhere?"

"Coming!" Belle called from the back. After a moment, she came out of the back room, dusting off her hands. "Oh! Tina, right? Your friend is in the stacks, if you're here to meet her."

"No, not this time. Actually I was wondering about getting a job for her here." Tina shrugged. "Mr. Gold said he'd mentioned something to you?"

"He did," Belle replied, nodding. "But... The way he explained it, it sounded like the job was more for you, instead." She looked at Tina curiously.

Tina shrugged. "I wouldn't mind the job," she said quietly. "But I know that Rachel isn't quite as comfortable with the town and the memories and all that, and I want her to be comfortable here, and I know she'd love working here, I mean, she already spends all her spare time here, so..." She trailed off, turning faintly pink.
