Tina was over to him almost as soon as he got back, checking him over quickly before looking at him.

"I don't know if I should tell you how stupid it was to take her on by yourself," she said primly. "It looks like you should know that already."

"I can handle Cora," Gold replied as he carefully sat down on a chair, trying to hide a grimace. "The student has yet to surpass the teacher, in this case."

"She doesn't have to surpass you, she just has to hit you hard enough," Tina pointed out. Because she had seen that grimace.

"How did you find us so quickly anyway? I don't think I was there even a full day."

"Well, clearly she doesn't hit hard enough yet," Gold replied as he set his cane down. "And to answer your question, just a simple tracking spell."

Tina was quiet for a few moments. "You put a tracking spell on me?" She sounded somewhere between incredulous and pissed.

"Why wouldn't I?" Gold asked as he took stock of his magically-inflicted injuries.

"Because that's kind of crazy controlling and over protective," Tina said, crossing her arms over her chest. "And you didn't ask me about it."

"And yet it's a good thing I did," Gold pointed out, looking at her. "If I hadn't, you would still be at Cora's tender mercies."

Tina shivered briefly. "That doesn't give you the right to track me like a stray dog," she said, glowering at him briefly.

"I placed that spell just in case something happened to you," Gold replied. "As it did this time. That is the only reason."

Tina sighed and rubbed her temples briefly. Really, there was no winning a fight with him.

"Fine, I'll admit it came in handy this time," she said. "But I would prefer to know if you're going to do things like that."

"My apologies," Gold murmured after a moment. "I had not intended to upset you with it." Because this time, he could admit that he wasn't completely right here. And, if he was being honest, he didn't like seeing her upset.

Tina was quiet for a few moments before she sighed and moved over next to him again. "It's okay," she said quietly. "It did turn out to be a good thing. I... didn't mean to yell at you like that."

"No need to apologize," Gold replied, glancing at her. "You've been through a lot today, it's perfectly understandable." And, he added mentally, she really was lovely when she was angry.

Tina nodded. "Need any help?" she asked quietly, frowning a little and wiping a stray trickle of blood off his forehead.

"It will heal," Gold replied, although he didn't smack her hand away. "As I said before, Cora is not as powerful as she wants to believe."

"But still powerful enough," Tina murmured, looking at him for a few moments before she shook herself.

"Alright, go take a bath and then go lay down. You'll feel better."

"I don't need to be taken care of," Gold commented as he reached for his cane again. His bad leg was bothering him quite a bit now.

"Neither do I. I'm taking care of you anyway." Tina stayed next to him, escorting him back to his rooms to make sure he actually did as she said.

Gold grumbled a little, but he didn't actually protest as she helped him up the stairs.

Tina walked with him all the way to his room, and then she stopped.

"Go soak for a while, it'll help," she ordered. "I'll go make dinner."

Gold was about to argue, and then stopped.

"Alright," he said. "But please, don't wait up for me."

Tina snorted. Like she wasn't going to wait up for him. "Sure thing," she said with an amused little smile. "Dinner will be ready whenever you come down."

"Alright," Gold said. He waited until Tina left the room before going to soak in hot water for a while.

Tina made soup for both of them, taking a portion for herself before going to sit for a while. Gold was right; it had been a long day, and her nerves were still shot. Which is why she was still sitting up when Gold came back from his soak.
