Rachel rolled her eyes and went to go join Tina again when she paused, walked back up to Hook, hesitantly kissed him on the cheek, and then darted back over to her friend.

Hook smiled slowly at that. Well, well. That was something to consider for when she got back.

Tina grinned briefly at Rachel and steered her a little ways away from the men.

"So, how have things been going?"

"I think you asked me that already," Rachel replied. "It's... I like it. I like being... I dunno, free."

Tina nodded, smiling a little. "Yeah. Looks like your new roommate isn't bad, either." She couldn't help the teasing.

"Hush," Rachel replied, blushing a bit. "What was that just now with you and Gold, hm?"

Tina briefly made a face. "Who knows?" she grumbled. Because she wasn't sure what Gold thought (other than not immediately smiting her which was a good start), and that kind of annoyed her.

"I kind of hoped you would," Rachel replied promptly, "considering you just kissed him and all."

"I know what's going on on my end, not his," Tina shot back. "I have no clue what he's thinking."

"You're not a smoking crater," Rachel pointed out. "Or a rat, or suddenly lacking your free will in the form of a glowing, beating heart."

"Yeah, those are all good signs," Tina agreed. "Not quite what I'd been hoping for, but still."

Rachel shrugged.

"He and Killian clearly don't get along," she said. "Maybe it's because they're both in the same place. Wait till you go back to the castle and see."

"True." Tina ginned briefly. "You wouldn't believe the fit he threw when I told him I wanted to come see you."

"Really?" Rachel asked. "I imagine he wasn't pleased, but still."

"He wasn't pleased. I didn't know he was here until Hook pointed him out." Tina sighed and shook her head. "I don't know what I'm going to do with him."

"I'm sure you'll figure it out," Rachel said, giving Tina a quick hug. "It doesn't help that Killian keeps trying to piss him off."

"No, it doesn't." Tina sighed. "Oh well. I'll figure it out eventually. So, what do you want to do for a few hours?"

"I'm not sure," Rachel admitted. "It wasn't exactly as if I had any social-type hobbies, before." She paused for a second. "And I don't think it's a good idea to leave Gold and Killian alone together."

"No. No, it's not." Tina huffed. "Well, maybe for today we should make sure they don't get into trouble? And I can come back in a day or two with that list and you can decide what you want me to bring back for you from the tower."

Rachel nodded.

"Sounds like a plan," she said, grinning a bit. "Although really, I don't need much. Killian's been very kind in letting me get what I need."

"I'm sure." Tina couldn't help but hide a teasing little grin. "Well, don't have too much fun with him."

"Hush, you," Rachel said, blushing. "It's not like that."

"You sure 'bout that? The look he's giving you isn't exactly innocent, after all." Tina grinned.

"Really, it's not like that," Rachel insisted. "He's giving me a place to stay that isn't the tower."

"Uh huh." Tina eyed her for a few moments. "But you want it to be more than that?"

"I don't know," Rachel admitted quietly after a moment. "Maybe. He's charming, he's clever, he's sweet... Everything I could want."
