Once Gold was honestly calm, he picked up the teapot and magicked himself up to the tower.
"Tina?" he asked. |
"I'm here." Tina looked over at him from a chair. She blinked at the pot of tea. "What's up?"
"I just wanted-- That is to say--" Gold fished around for the right words before holding up the teapot. "Tea?"
Tina looked bemused for a moment before she nodded, moving some things off another chair so he could sit.
Gold set the teapot down and moved over to the chair to sit down.
"I'm reasonably certain I remember the kind of tea you prefer," he commented. |
"I'm not overly picky," Tina said with a faint smile. "I'm sure whatever you have is fine, Gold."
Gold nodded and fell silent for a few moments. He wanted to discuss what had happened earlier, but he wasn't entirely sure how to start.
Tina was quiet as well before she got up and went to get teacups.
"Well, that went surprisingly well earlier," she said brightly. "And you didn't kill Hook, so that's a plus." |
"I wanted to," Gold replied. "Very much so." He watched as she pulled out teacups.
"I could tell." Tina poured tea for them and carried it over, handing him a cup before retreating to her chair. "But you didn't, that's probably a good thing."
"Perhaps," Gold said, accepting the cup. He would never like Hook, although the urge to kill him might have faded just slightly.
Tina curled up in her chair again, sipping on her tea.
"So I noticed there was a rather nice lack of smiting earlier," she pointed out cautiously. |
"It wouldn't have been... prudent to smite him with you so close," Gold replied just as carefully.
"I notice you also didn't smite me." Tina spoke quietly, still unsure. She looked resolutely down in her tea.
"What?" Gold blinked. "No, I would never." He wouldn't hurt her, not if he could help it.
Tina shook her head a little, sipping her tea quietly. She wasn't quite sure what to say now, since he seemed to be floundering just as much.
Gold was quiet for a moment, trying to gather both his thoughts and his courage.
"I couldn't hurt you," he finally said quietly. "Somehow, you've managed to become quite dear to me without my consent." |
Tina blinked at that, looking at him, startled. "I... what?" She blinked again.
"I'm not certain when it happened," Golda admitted. "But somehow you managed to make your way into my affections."
Tina just looked at him for several moments before she grinned.
"So should I try kissing you again to see if I get a different reaction this time?" |
Gold quirked a bit of a grin at her.
"Well, if you like," he said. "I certainly won't object." |
Tina snorted quietly and set her tea aside, shaking her head.
"No smiting?" she prompted, looking at him again. |
"No smiting," Gold promised.
Tina nodded and moved in front of him leaning down to kiss him again, still a little hesitant this time.
Gold let her initiate the kiss, and then gently pulled her into it a bit more. He tried not to be demanding about it, but he still sort of was.
