He started wailing again. "No!!! I don't want it!"

"Shh... Shh..." He pet Gamzee's head. "Okay Gamzee... Okay... can we just talk for a bit though..?"

He tried to calm, fear reflected in his eyes. He tried to calm his breathing. "Ok..." He whispered. "Ok, talk...we can..."

"Gamzee, I don't want to lose you... E-even if... we have to just be friends, I don't want to stop talking to you, or stop throwing down sick fires." His chest tightened as he spoke, but he didn't care. "I just want you to still be my friend..."

Gamzee could feel his eyes watering, purple tears running all down a gray face. "Tavros..." His voice sounded strange. "I can't risk hurting you again..." All he wanted was Tavros, but he wanted to keep him safe.

"I won't let you hurt me again..." He wiped the purple tears away. "Once I'm good with my legs, I'll be able to run faster than you...."

He couldn't hold back his sob. "All I ever wanted was you...and I screwed that up." He couldn't hold back the tears.

Tavros felt his heart tighten more. "Gamzee, you didn't screw it up... I promise you didn't..." he wiped the tears away gently. "I promise you didn't." He kissed the other troll's forehead.

He tried to calm, panic raising again. His sober state was hard to control. "You shouldn't have saved me..." He whispered. "You're in trouble if I lose it..." He wasn't so sure though. He was dizzy and couldn't really even move. He was to tired. He could hear the rain pelting the roof.

"I... I have faygo if you need some..." he moved away and got the bottle that was on his bedside table. "I kind of stockpiled in case you ever needed some..."

He swatted at it weakly. "No. I refuse to drink it ever again." He shuddered. "I need to see what I really am..."

Tavros sighed. "O-okay..." he set the soda down. "Gamzee.... if you were to kill me though... I'd be okay with it, I think..." He said as he sat on the bed. "Because, yeah, I'd be dead, but..." He looked at Gamzee. "I finally told you how I feel.. and you returned those feelings... So, I would die happy..."

Gamzee shook his head rapidly, his one horn slamming against the head board. He whimpered as it cracked a little more without falling off. He yanked Tavros to him. "No...I..couldn't handle it if I was the one that killed you. I'd have to die too..."

"I-I was just saying...." He frowned. "Gamzee, you won't kill me.... I know it..."

The purple blooded troll studied Tavros for a moment before yanking him all the way down and kissing him full on. The action seemed desperate, as if he'd been deprived. His hands came up and wrapped around the other's neck. When he pulled away, his face was flushed and his lips a bit wet. He nuzzled his face into Tavros' shoulder, not speaking.

Tavros just froze for a few moments after the kiss before hugging Gamzee. He rubbed the higher-blood's back, wanting to comfort him.

He gave a soft crying sound, then pushed Tavros away. He slammed his head back against the head board, over and over. He sobbed as a cracking sound split the air. The one horn that had been left stuck into the headboard before falling off completely at the root. Black hair now had an odd purple tint as blood ran down the side of his face. He slumped into the bed, then went silent.

Tavros watched in shock as Gamzee made his horn fall off. "Gamzee!" He got the washcloth and held it to the bleeding spot, it being the only thing he can think to do. He felt a nudge on his arm, and turned to see Tinkerbull had brought wrappings. "O-oh! Thanks Tinkerbull!" He put the padding over where the horns had been and wrapped the other troll's head to hold them in place and staunch the bleeding.

Gamzee as gasping for air, looking exhausted. He looked at Tavros and them closed his eyes, hoping to get at least a little sleep. He couldn't think straight, brain dull with emotions and physical pain. He slippe into slumber, mumbling Tavros' name

Tavros stroked Gamzee's hair briefly before turning on his calming music and going about his usual things that he did when Gamzee wasn't online on Trollian. He cleaned up the destroyed host dolls from his Fidusspawn game and wiped all the nasty slime off the ground.

Gamzee slept restlessly, tossing and turning. When he woke, he felt a little better but still not 100%. "Tav?" He called softly, trying to sit up and wincing at his head pain.

Tavros immediately was at Gamzee's side. "Yes Gamzee?" he didn't even notice he had host slime on his shirt and pants.

Gamzee looked at the slime and frowned, then yawned. "Just making sure I didn't murder you or something."

"No, no, I'm alive, see?" He laughed and touched Gamzee's hand. "See? Not a ghost either!"

He sighed in relief, pulling the other close to him. "I'm sorry for everything.."
