Dirk coughed a little. "I mean..If you need a place to stay...You could stay in my room..um... Because I can always bunk with Dave.."

He shook his head, fighting better urges. "no, it's fine, really...."

Dirk looked just the tiniest bit flustered. "If you say so.."

"But, thanks for the offer... Just, I kind of already owe Dave for keeping Jade company while she was out sick.... It was really just my fault he skipped school..."

Dirk looked at Dave with surprise. "I see..." He seemed to be a bit proud of Dave. "Again, you're welcome anytime John.." Dave was grinning at John, wiggling his eye brows.

John kicked Dave's leg under the table. "Um, maybe I can ask dad if I can stay over...."

"Great..." Dirk said, the blush hidden as he lowered his head. "Why don't you go ahead and call him?" Dave asked, a soft giggle coming out at the kick.

John kicked Dave's leg again before standing and walking out of the room to call his dad.

Rose looked up from her drink. "You guys are absolutely nuts...."

As soon as John was out of ear shot, Dirk glared at Dave. "Stop." He growled. "You know better than to act like that." He cleared his throat. Dave flicked him off. "Of shut up and just get over yourself. We already know you like him." Dirk hissed. "Shut up you prick..."

"Guys, just calm down..." Rose said as her ipod went off with her Pesterchum. She ignored it momentarily. "Dave clearly knows something you don't Dirk..." She then looked at the Pesterchum on her iPod and looked to Dave. "Also, Jade says that you're a" She did airquotes. "'punk' for not saying good-bye to her when you left the Harley house."

He had a fit of laughter. "Tell her I'm sorry, but I didn't think her dad would be happy if I bothered her when sick.

"You tell her yourself, you have pesterchum after all." She put her ipod in her pocket and finished eating. "If you'll excuse me, I have a call waiting with Kanaya." She strolled off to her room.

John walked back in a few moments after Rose left. "Um.... He said, I can stay, I just need to go pick up clothes...."

Dirk tried to hide how pleased he was and Dave ran up to his room to pester Jade. Gamzee followed the younger Strider, leaving Dirk with John. "I can take you home if need be...since its dark and all..."

Dave pulled up pesterchum.

John looked at the older Strider. "U-um... Yeah, thanks...."

Jade sat up when her pesterchum pinged

Dirk opened the door for John. "No problem. A friend of Dave's is a friend of mine." That of coarse wasn't always true, but Dirk didn't want to seem like a weirdo. "You know, since Dave will be busy with Gamzee and talking to Jade..you and I could play video games or something."

Dave smiled at the screen.

"Oh, sure, that will be fun." He walked out of the door and looked at Dirk.

Jade curled up on her bed, Dave's scent still on her pillows.

Dirk gave him a rather simple smile. "I see why Dave hangs around you. You're adorable."

A blush tinted his cheeks but the dark covered it. "Oh..."

Dirk shoved his hands in his pockets. "Sorry if I creeped you out bro."

John shook his head. "Oh, no... you're, um, you're fine..."

[GG] but as for the john thinggggg!!! lets just say you guys are in for an odd night!!!

The older Strider just stared at John as they stood outside of his house. "Well...get your stuff..." He was clearly feeling a bit awkward.

[GG]: awe you should be fine!!

John nodded and went inside to get his clothes before coming back out with his backpack and clothes

Dirk pressed John up against the side of the house and stared at him for a few moments. "Have you ever kissed someone John?"

[GG] john will be fine!!

Blush flooded John's cheek at the older Strider's actions. "I-I uh.." He was sudden;y rather tongue tied.

Dirk hummed. "Can you give me an answer?" He wanted to know what to expect. He also wanted to know how to treat John if he kissed him. It was different for people with no experience. And he wanted to make his brother's friend melt.
