Tavros woke immediately and looked to his mother.

She smiled down at him. "Hey sleepy head."

"Hey mom!" He smiled. "Is everything okay?"

She nodded. "Mhm. It is." She stroked at his hair.

"Really?" He smiled up at his mother.

She nodded slowly. "Mhm."

"You're sure...?"

She kissed his head softly. "I'm positive."

"I'm glad" he smiled at his mother.

She pet Gamzee's hair a little before leaving. The demon had fallen asleep as soon as she had arrived.

Tavros cuddled into the demon and fell asleep.

Tavros' mom woke up rather early the next morning. School was out for the holidays, and she was making pancakes for the kids.

Tavros stirred at the smell of food.

Gamzee stirred just as Tavros did, squeaking a little.

"Mm, morning Gamzee...."

"Heyyy......." He slurred sleepily. Tavros' mom came in with a grin. "Come on boys. I got up at like 5 am and made all these goddamn pancakes."

Tavros looked at his mom blankly then laughed like a dork. "Really mom??"

Gamzee chuckled a little, then sat in front of a pile, poking at it uneasily.

Tavros wheeled into the kitchen and in front of a pile. "Thanks mom!!"

She nodded and watched Gamzee who seemed to be more interested in poking the food with a fork.

"Gamzee, you know you eat it right...?"

He frowned. "I do....?" He seemed confused, but took a bit, eating like an animal dice he wasn't sure about table manners. "'S good!" He declared with a mouthful.

Tavros laughed and smiled at Gamzee. "There you go!" He said as he took a bite of his own pancakes.

Tavros' mother laughed a little. "I think we're going to need baths after this."

Tavros looked at his mom and stuck his tongue out. "Don't remind me"
