Julie just snickered and found a place to sit, relaxing, watching in resigned amusement as Electrike wandered over to Thor.

Thor blinked when he noticed the little pokemon.

"Where did you come from, young one?" he asked, leaning down to get a closer look. He looked around and spotted Julie. "Yours?"

Julie nodded. "Mine now," she agreed, tilting her chair back on two legs. "Let me know if I need to grab him or anything." She seriously doubted Thor minded, but she was responsible for the little pokemon.

"He is no trouble," Thor replied easily. Really, he loved little electric types.

Julie nodded but kept an eye on them anyway. Electrike could be a demanding little then when he wanted. As proven when he put his front paws as far up as he could reach and growled a little, clearly demanding to be picked up.

Thor blinked before grinning widely.

"So willful!" he said. "I approve! He will make a great warrior yet!" Reaching down, he picked up the little pup.

Electrike growled at him experimentally before pawing at his hand and squirming. Clearly he liked the view from way up there.

Julie just kind of face-palmed.

Maeve noticed and snickered a bit.

"You had to see that one coming," she murmured to Julie.

"Oh I did but it's still amusing," Julie said with a grin, watching Electrike playing with Thor.

Maeve grinned back and settled in to keep an eye on everything. Hey, she might primarily be Julie's babysitter, but her secondary assignment was to look after the Avengers when Coulson wasn't around.

Julie kept an eye on everything too, so she noticed when Tony sidled over to Maeve.

"So I finished the electricity amplifier, and it works between pokemon and technology." He grinned, smug.

"Really?" Maeve asked, interested. "And it doesn't overload whatever tech is attached to it?"

"Not anymore." Tony grinned. "I figured it out a little while back, but then there was this invasion of giant slugs and let me tell you that was all sorts of nasty so I just finished the project a few days ago."

Maeve blinked.

"Giant slugs?" she asked. "You'll have to tell me about that one. World events tend to be on a need-to-know basis for junior agents before we're set loose on the world."

"Giant space slugs, or somesuch thing," Tony said with a little shiver. "I kid you not. Caused by a spell gone wrong because of some apprentice magician. And Strange didn't even make the kid go kill the damn things, we had to, because they were trying to swamp Brooklyn." He paused. "Not that the loss of Brooklyn would have been horrible, but even still."

"That must have been what HR was whining about," Maeve mused. "They got flooded with dry-cleaning reimbursement forms, something about getting slime out of suits."

"Probably." Tony grinned. "They probably had to just make a bunch of new ones. It took ages to get that gunk out of my suit."

"I can imagine," Maeve said. She looked a bit curious. "Could it have been baked out? Have a fire-type or something heat up the slime until it dried and then just have it chipped off?"

"Not on the SHIELD suits," Tony said with a shrug. "They would have gone up in flames. And aiming a fire-type at my suit, especially the inside of it? Not a good idea."

"I didn't say 'set on fire,'" Maeve pointed out. "I said 'bake.' Something that radiates just enough heat to dry the slime." She waved a hand. "The agents on clean-up got their suits dry-cleaned, anyways."

Tony shrugged. "It dried off on its own well enough anyway," he said. "And you mince words too much."

"Sorry," Maeve said. "Habit." She was used to having to choose her words fairly carefully, so now she did it without thinking.

Tony just nodded, watching Thor play with Electrike for a few moments before he shifted. "I'm heading back down to the lab if part of your job description is babysitting," he said with a brief grin.

"I think my job description has the actual word in it and everything," Maeve said, grinning a bit. "Gardevoir, keep an eye on things here," she added to her pokemon. "Chandellure, come on with me so you don't bother Clint." Gardevoir nodded and drifted over a bit closer to Julie, and Chandellure floated over closer to Maeve.

Julie grinned at Gardevoir, well-used to the pokemon by now, and settled in for a bit.

Tony beckoned to Ninetails and headed down to his lab so he could tinker with a few more personal projects. Like making a suit for Rotom.
