"Tony!" Maeve said, shrugging out from under his arm. "Not during testing." Once she was free of his octopus-like grasp, she went back over to her table, and Kirlia handed her a new item for testing. "Thanks, darling."

Coulson watched with amusement as Julie ducked away too, going back to testing things and humming to herself. "You were saying, Mr. Stark?"

Tony grumbled. "Why can't you talk to, I don't know, someone else about this stuff? It's boring and Fury never lets me have any fun." Lucario, who was following him around to make sure he didn't get into any trouble, snorted at him and went to go check on the girls.

Kirlia huffed and turned to face the men, annoyed that they were getting annoyed, and paused when she saw the Gallade standing next to Coulson. Her eyes went a bit wide and she tugged on Maeve's shirt.

"What is it, darling?" Maeve asked, turning to her pokemon. Kirlia gestured to the Gallade shyly. "Oh, I see."

Coulson noticed and nudged his pokemon in the right direction. Gallade made a vague harrumphing noise before moving over to greet Kirlia, impeccably polite as always.

Kirlia turned a bit pink when Gallade greeted her, and she almost forgot to greet him in return. She stumbled a bit over her greeting, and darted back to hide behind Maeve again after.

Gallade blinked, undeterred, and went to go investigate what they were working on, hoping to put Kirlia a little more at ease.

Maeve glanced over when she saw both Lucario and Gallade coming over to investigate. Kirlia still just peeked out at Gallade, blushing.

"Oh, good, fighting-types," she said. She turned to them both. "What do you think of Shatter? It's supposed to be a ramped-up version of Rock Smash."

Lucario blinked before holding out a paw for the TM. She would test, she didn't mind. Besides, she never minded showing off a little bit. Tony had rubbed off on her over the years.

Maeve handed Lucario the TM and gestured to a boulder she'd had brought in for the test.

"As far as I know, it should work kind of like Force Palm, but with an effect more like Rock Smash," she said. "Let me know if that's how it works."

Lucario nodded and tried it out. The result was more like Rock Explosion, with bits and pieces of rock flying everywhere. Tony yelped and pulled Julie down, while Coulson sighed and used his clipboard as a shield.

Maeve peeked out from behind the table and blinked.

"Well," she said. "That had more oomph to it than I thought it would." Reaching for a pen, she brushed the dust and pebbles from her notepad and wrote the results down.

"I think that one's going to need some tweaking," Tony agreed, brushing some rubble off Julie's shoulder. "We should probably vacate for a bit, let the cleaning crew do their job. Besides, I need time to make the necessary adjustments before another test."

"Right," Maeve said, brushing herself off and gathering her pokemon so they could leave the room.

Tony got everyone into the elevator and took them up to a room about twelve floors up so they could hang out for a while.

Julie got about four steps into the room before she sneezed, her nose starting to run. Because of course she was allergic to just about everything that grew or had pollen.

Bruce looked up when he heard the sneeze, and waved a hand to his pokemon.

"Cut it off, Meganium," he said. The grass-type trilled and obeyed, stopping the pollen spores. "Sorry about that," Bruce said, turning to them. "Tony isn't in the habit of warning anyone when he bursts into a lab."

Julie sneezed again miserably. "We noticed," she grumbled, going over and snagging the box of tissues.

"This is what the allergy testing is for," Tony said, patting her shoulder before going to perch on the edge of the table. "Speaking of, got anything new for me, Brucie?"

"If you hadn't interrupted, Tony, I might," Bruce replied as he went over to check on Julie.

Maeve tried, she really did, but she wasn't able to fight off her own sneeze. The pollen levels in the room were high, and they were triggering her spring allergies. She blinked and rubbed her eyes when they started to water and itch.

Coulson sighed and turned on a vent to start filtering the air so the pollen levels wouldn't be so high. He wasn't allergic to much of anything, but he'd rather not have two miserable sneezing techs on his hands.

Julie shot Bruce a quick smile before she sneezed into a tissue again. "I both love and hate Meganium," she grumbled.

"Just make the pollen stop," Maeve mumbled as she kept rubbing her eyes. "Arceus almighty, it itches..."

"The room will clear in a minute or so," Bruce said as he handed both girls fresh tissues. "I apologize for the impromptu exposure, but at least now I know how you both react to the pollen."

"Yeah. Miserably. Keep this up and I'm going to stop bringing you tea and cookies," Julie grumbled, sneezing again. "I'm going to have to change my contacts when I get home..."

"I'm sorry," Bruce said again. And he was sorry, but still. Results.

"You owe us for this," Julie grumbled. "And if you keep doing this to us we might have to start a tab." She moved over to the table and sat, grumbling, until Blissey came over to poke at her. Then she gave in and cracked a little smile.

"I'll make a note of that," Bruce said.

Maeve, rather than just sit there, was trying to look around and see what was in the lab. She wasn't having the easiest time, and she got distracted when one if the blurry shapes got close enough to resolve itself into a Togekiss. That was new.

"Never seen a Togekiss up close before," she muttered.

Togekiss blinked at her before chirping at her happily and hopping closer to say hi. She liked meeting new humans, after all.

Rubbing her eyes a bit more, Maeve extended her other hand for the Togekiss. Like she told Steve, it was always nice to see pokemon that were well taken care of.
