Maeve couldn't help but snicker.

"I'm not even going to guess," she said. "I'm just going to wait till morning to find out, unless your all-seeing butler knows." She grinned.

"They are both still clothed," Jarvis said, his voice dry.

Tony snickered. "Ping them," he told Jarvis, just waiting for the swearing to start.

"Good luck," Maeve said. "Jules might start undressing him just to spite us." She grinned. "Poor thing, she's going to have to make all the first moves until Steve gets used to it."

"He's smart, he'll adjust." Tony grinned when he heard Julie swearing.

Julie grumbled as she moved away from Steve. They were both dressed, though.

Steve grumbled a bit, as well, reluctantly letting her go.

"What does he want now?" he asked rhetorically as he straightened and re-tucked his shirt.

"Nothing worth it," Julie muttered. But she headed over to the kitchen to see what he wanted.

Tony grinned when he saw them. "There's muffins," he said with a wicked little grin.

"You're right," Steve murmured in Julie's ear. "Not worth it." Louder, though, he added, "Thanks, Tony. We'll have some later."

Tony snickered. "Sure you don't want one?"

"Yes." Julie glowered at him briefly and gave Maeve a look that just dared her to comment.

Maeve didn't comment; her grin said everything.

Steve just touched Julie's shoulder and nudged her back in the direction they came.

Julie huffed but let Steve steer her away again.

Tony started laughing once they were gone. "Think they realize he left a giant hickey on her shoulder?"

"Not a chance," Maeve replied, grinning wickedly. "Ten bucks says neither of them notices until tomorrow."

"Done." Tony grinned. Because he'd bet that one of them noticed fairly soon, since they'd been interrupted.

Still grinning, Maeve took the chocolate chip muffin and settled on the couch. Ditto promptly came over and scrambled into her lap to snuggle.

Tony joined her with his blueberry muffin and snorted when Togepi got Ninetails to carry it up to plop on Tony.

Maeve grinned.

"May as well cuddle it," she said. "And turn on something Dreamworks or Pixar, that seems good enough for now."

"Sure." Tony picked a random movie and turned it on, settling back with Togepi. He even slipped the pokemon bits of muffin.

Maeve noticed Tony already starting to spoil Togepi, and smiled a bit even as she did the same with Ditto. Seemed like Tony was getting used to the idea of having a Togepi to look after.

Tony settled in there to watch for a while. But he was ready to tease Julie and Steve the next time he saw them.

It took Maeve another two weeks before she was cleared for work again. Her shoulder still ached occasionally, and she had a decent scar, but she was good to go.

So, of course, since Julie and Maeve were both healthy, Doom decided to attack New York. The Avengers were quick to suit up, and Julie got all her gear. Hey, she figured she could at least help.

Tony got into the suit and turned the comms on. "Cap, we all ready?" he asked.

"We're good to go," Steve replied, readying his shield. "You all know how Doom works, so we need to take him down hard and fast."

Tony left first, going to find Doom. Not that it was hard to do.

"Got him," he said, making a quick sweep past Doom. "He's got some attack dogs with him too. Literally." He dodged a Houndoom.

Julie looked over at Maeve. "You have the channel they use?" she asked, making sure she had everything so they could go help.

"Yeah," Maeve said, nodding and tuning them into the right frequency.

"Have Lucario take care of the Houndoom," Steve said. "She's got the best chance. Hawkeye, I need you to keep a look out, make sure no others show up."

Julie nodded and headed into the fray. At least she was combat trained, so she could hold her own.

Tony relayed the message to Lucario, who was quick to work on taking care of the Houndoom as Tony worked on keeping Doom distracted so Steve and Thor could get to him more easily.

There were a few agents there as support and crowd control, so Steve didn't immediately notice one more. He did notice, however, when he saw Altaria and Typhlosion.

"Julie?" he said, barely pausing as he fought off a Doombot.
