Faye paused for a moment.

"It sounds like Creation Mode in Minecraft," she said. She grinned. "It's amazing."

"Pretty much." Tony shrugged. "It works really well."

"We can tell." Rei grinned. Really this place just got more fantastic.

"It's like you can learn something new about this place every day and never learn all of it," Faye said, grinning. "It just gets better and better."

"Yup." Rei grinned. "We'll see how long that lasts."

Faye nodded and grinned a bit. So far, life was pretty damn cool.

Since they were no longer on a time limit, the next few days were very relaxed. The girls gave their feet a while to recover and then started walking again, at a more relaxed pace.

Faye was very pleased to discover that Bruce was in the habit of making tea every morning, and equally as pleased when he let her join in.

She wasn't entirely sure where the ridiculously complex coffee machine kept coming from, though, but she just assumed Tony had something to do with it.

Rei usually stole some coffee from Tony, although she occasionally had tea. Logan just rolled his eyes at all of them and grumbled about needing beer. Although that was usually later in the day.

Rei made a note to pick up beer for him next time they were in town.

'Next time they were in town' ended up being pretty quick. For Faye, six days of camping was wearing her down, and she wanted nothing more than to take a hot shower and sleep in a real bed.

Rei booked a room for them and let Faye go take over the shower first. Rei looked at PD capsules and the PD balls, curious. Some of it was too expensive for now, but she could at least get the PD ball upgrade for now.

And a helpful trainer told her about a money-earning training tool that she'd have to look into later.

Faye just soaked in the hot shower for a while. It felt amazing, and she made sure to scrub off the top few layers of skin to get all the dirt and road-grime off herself. When she finally came back out, she was pleased and clean.

"That was the best shower ever," she said. "Hands-down."

Rei laughed. "Well, I'll take mine in a bit," she said, grinning. "I found out about PD bishiballs and some other things while you were showering."

"New stuff?" Faye asked, looking over at her friend curiously. "What did you find?"

"Remember those PD rooms Tony mentioned? I found out about those. And apparently there are PD capsules too, to store stuff in." Rei grinned. "It's pretty fantastic."

"It sounds like it," Faye replied, interested. "So was I right in calling them sub-space pockets?"

"Pretty much. The PD balls are just like a door that sits on the floor and takes up the normal space of a door. But you open the door and somehow you're in a full bedroom." She shook her head. "It's really cool."

Faye grinned.

"That's awesome," she said. "A door just sitting there in the air. We should give this a shot, when we get the chance."

"We can while we're in town," Rei pointed out. "I asked, and because we're new we can get our first batch of balls converted to PD for almost nothing."

Faye grinned.

"We should do it, then," she said. "I'm sure it'll be useful later on, so we may as well now."

"Yup." Rei grinned. "Well, we can head down there whenever, I'm not going to shower until later. Give the hot water heater a chance to recover."

"I'm ready when you are, then," Faye said, slipping on the pair of flip-flops she'd kept in the bottom of her bag. She slipped her belt around her waist and turned to her friend. "Let's go."

Rei led the way back to the shop she'd found earlier so they could get their upgrades done.

Faye let Rei go first to get the upgrades done, paying attention to the information they were given about what PD spheres were and how they worked. It all seemed pretty straight-forward, so she didn't think they'd have any problems with the shiny new tech.

Rei grinned and played around with the new tech while Faye got her upgrades done.

"So. This place just keeps getting more awesome." She looked at the door, opening it and peering into an empty room from an unoccupied bishiball.

"It really does," Faye agreed as she peered into the room as well. She blinked. "Dude, this is like a whole suite, that's awesome."
