"It might be something to look into, if you're serious about trying meditation," Bruce said. He stood up. "Tony hasn't been getting into trouble in the last hour or so, has he?"

"Nah, he's messing with the girls' dexes." Logan grinned. "Nothing unusual."

Bruce just rolled his eyes.

"Typical," he said. He started towards the main part of camp. "Could I interest you in some tea? I'm going to make some."

"Tea is good," Rei said, grinning at him briefly. Erik also nodded, busy entertaining Thor for a little while.

Bruce nodded and started some water to boil. He'd make enough for anyone who wanted some.

Once the tea was done, Rei started on dinner for everyone, humming to herself as she worked.

Bruce helped out with dinner, as usual, letting Rei give the directions as she liked.

Rei shot Bruce a smile and got her food before letting everyone else get food.

She did watch to make sure no one had any complaints, though, since she wasn't quite sure yet what everyone liked.

Thor dug in enthusiastically, making himself a mess in the process. Bruce had to nudge Tony into putting down the dexes and picking up a plate, but he managed to get Tony to eat and then settled down with a plate himself.

Loki sighed at his little brother but let him eat, eating his own dinner, and then he dragged Thor off to get him bathed.

Rei grinned and opened an empty room for them so they could get cleaned up.

Faye couldn't help but grin as well.

"Kids do that," she commented to Rei. "Remember when we had to look after the kids at the neighborhood Fourth of July picnic? Barbeque sauce everywhere."

"Oh man, that was crazy," Rei agreed. "And messy. Very, very messy."

Tony just snorted at them both.

"The kids looked like they'd slaughtered a herd of barbeque hams," Faye said, snickering. "Just all over the place."

"Remember that one who had sauce in her hair? Just like she'd run her hands through her hair with sauce?" Rei shivered in remembered horror.

"She probably did," Faye said, grinning a bit. "I was more preoccupied with the kid who watched too much Rugrats and jammed a pulled pork sandwich down his shorts."

"Oh that was such a nightmare. Let's just never do anything like that again, okay?" Rei grinned.

Faye just laughed and nodded.

"Deal," she said.

Which was about when Loki and Thor reemerged, both of them clean. Thor was still bouncy, for the moment, but Loki knew he'd drop soon.

"You missed it," Faye commented to Loki, grinning. "We were just discussing babysitting adventures of our own. A horde of little kids covered in barbeque sauce and mud."

"Ah yes." Loki shook his head. "Try mead. A batch of small Asgardian children covered in mead."

Faye paused for a moment.

"I am so, so sorry," she finally said.

"Fortunately I was not the only one responsible for cleaning them up," Loki admitted. "I had help. Sif are excellent at wrangling small children."

"Really?" Faye asked, interested. "I wouldn't have guessed. But still, small children covered in mead? I feel bad for everyone involved in cleaning them up."

"Cleaning up the second time wasn't any fun either," Loki said. "They all got drunk because of course they inevitably drank some of the mead so then they were all ill the next morning."

"Yeah, I think you win for the 'worst babysitting job ever,'" Faye said, nodding. "You definitely win."
