Rei looked a little shaken as she nodded. "Got it. Three miles, two days max. Preferably less. Let's try for less, I like less better."

Faye was equally as shaken.

"Less, less is good," she agreed.

The professor nodded.

"It's unpleasant, but necessary to go over. Moving on, there are three stages of development for bishies: Chibi, San, and Sama. San and Sama are both fair game out there, but Chibis are off-limits unless you have permission from their parents or guardians. You likely won't even see any Chibis, anyways. And on a related note, bishies do have their own cities. Don't go looking for them, you won't find them. And no bishie will talk about them. So it's best just to accept that they're out there and move on."

"Top-secret hidden cities. I like it. But no exploring for them." Rei nodded. "Alright, that's fair. Anything else we need to know? Or are you setting us loose to go cause mayhem?"

"No, I think that's all of the important things," the professor said. "The rest is easy enough to pick up on your own, I think." He went to a box and pulled out a pair of basic canvas backpacks. "Here. A basic start-up kit to get you on your feet." He handed one to each girl. "And now you're officially trainers. Good luck, and enjoy."

"Thanks." Rei took her bag, looking inside briefly before she stood and headed for the door.

"So what first? Head out and see what we can find and see if this isn't a dream?" She looked over at Faye.

Faye nodded, settling her pack on her shoulders and looking at her friend.

"Yeah," she said. "Let's do that." She paused for a moment, and then looked at the dex she'd been given. "It's like a pokedex. I'm going to assume it works the same way. But, given that pokegear in the games is like everything in one, think this is like that?"

"Let's find out." Rei pulled out her bishidex and started playing around with it, flipping through the apps and various things it could do. "Huh. Looks like. There's a call function, and a map, and internet."

"Internet?" Faye played around with her own apps. "Well, we're in a building, maybe they have wifi here. Wait till we get outside, then we'll see if that changes."

"We'll see." Rei shrugged and headed outside, putting her dex away for the moment. "So, where should we go first? We never actually got our lunch, and I'm kind of hungry."

"Lunch sounds good," Faye agreed, nodding. She paused again for a second. "I'm almost afraid to go outside," she confessed. "We have no idea who we might see out there."

"Yeah, I know." Rei grimaced briefly. "Well, I guess we'd better get used to the idea, if we're going to be here for a while. It'll just be a bit crazy until we adjust."

"Yeah," Faye agreed. She took a breath. "Alright, then. Let's go find some food."

Rei ventured outside first, looking around before starting towards what looked like a café. She did jump though when a Yami and a Bakura walked past them arguing.

Faye froze for a moment, eyes wide.

"Part of my childhood just walked by," she squeaked to Rei after a second or so.

"No kidding." Rei blinked after the two. "They're shorter than I guessed." She blinked again. "I think a small part of me is squealing and a small part of me is still very firmly in denial."

"Yeah, it's about the same here," Faye said. She shook her head slightly and couldn't help but grin. "And we've been assimilated into this. How awesome is that?"

"If it's real? Pretty awesome." Rei grinned. "Let's see if we can find something good on the menu and see how many people we recognize for the moment, and we can go try to catch someone later."

Faye nodded and followed her friend. Food sounded like a wonderful idea. She did, however, do a huge double-take when she saw someone walk by with a Thor and a Loki, who were bickering back and forth.

Rei actually stopped to watch the pair, her eyes wide.

"Okay. I think I love it here now."

"Good, you saw what I saw," Faye said as she watched the pair leave. "That was amazing."

"That was amazing. And the professor had Tony, and they kept mentioning Bruce." Rei was quiet for a moment. "Oh man can you imagine that? Those two would be epic together. Epic squabbling and Science-ing."

"Oh god, we can get Science Bros," Faye said, grinning. "This needs to happen."

"Yes. Yes it does." Rei grinned. "You know we're just going to end up with lists of people we want, right?"

"This is going to be amazing," Faye said, grinning. "Come on, let's find some food and then go see what there is to see."

Rei nodded and led the way to a little café, getting a table for them and watching the bishi and trainer who ran the place, amused.
