"It had to be interesting to somebody," Faye pointed out. She grinned. "Though you're right, it was ridiculously boring. The vampire project was interesting, though."
"Yes it was." Rei grinned. "Especially when I was reading other books about vampires besides what the teacher made us read. That was fun."
"Of course, watching six versions of Dracula, got a bit boring after a while, although Nosferatu was amusing." Faye grinned.
"True. You have to admit, there were some pretty hysterical moments between all the movies." Rei grinned.
"It was weird, too, Keanu Reeves actually had to emote for his role as Harker, it was so strange to see that," Faye said.
"It was strange, it didn't work very well," Rei agreed. "He doesn't emote well. At all."
"Not at all," Faye agreed. "I can think of a few who don't. And a few who can act really, really well." She snickered. "God, like Chris Evans. Some of his roles were like night and day."
"Oh I know." Rei grinned.
"It's fun to get a Cap and a Human Torch in the same room," Tony piped up. |
"I can just imagine," Faye said, grinning. "They have the same face. Bleach a Johnny Storm and they'd look almost exactly the same."
"Two or three have done that," Tony said, grinning. "It was great. Almost no one could pick them out of the batch of Steves."
Faye bit her lip and snickered.
"That must have been priceless," she said. "It was pretty impressive," Bruce had to admit, smiling just a bit. |
Rei snorted. "I wonder what other surprises we'll find," she said to Faye.
"Probably lots." Tony grinned. |
"I can count five different Johnny Depps off the top of my head," Faye said in return, grinning. "And another three Helena Bonham Carters. This could be awesome."
"Yes indeed." Rei grinned. "We'll get there later, though. I kind of want to see who else we can find in Marvel land first."
"I can think of a few Jeremy Renners," Faye offered, grinning. "But yeah, let's stick around here were we recognize most of the faces."
"And then we can go exploring later," Rei agreed with a huge grin. Oh she was so looking forward to this.
Faye nodded, grinning.
"This is going to be great," she said. |
Three days later, Rei was starting to get worried. She'd thrown another bishiball but had missed again. She still had ten days, but even still, she was starting to get a little nervous.
Faye, meanwhile, had shimmied up a tree to see if she could get a better look around.. Maybe she'd be able to spot something that would help Rei.
Of course not. What was she thinking? All she was able to see was a quick rustle of bushes before whatever Rei had tried to catch disappeared again. "Let's keep looking," she said as she made her way down to the ground again, clumsily. "There have to be more around here somewhere." |
Rei sighed and nodded. "With my luck and my aim, I won't manage to get one." She trudged along next to Faye, pouting a bit.
"I have two, I'll lend you one if I have to," Faye said, looping her arm through Rei's. "I'm not letting you get sent back that easily."
"See, I knew there was a reason we were both invited," Rei said with a grin, walking with Faye easily.
But she'd still feel better once she had her own bishi. |
Faye grinned back and walked with her friend. She stepped carefully; she still wasn't used to so much hiking, and her feet weren't pleased with her. Nor was the rest of her body, really. She wasn't conditioned to constant camping, after all.
"When do you want to break for lunch?" she asked. |
"Any time now, I suppose," Rei said with a little shrug. "Maybe up ahead a little farther, by that clearing?" She pointed to the one she had in mind.
Faye nodded.
"As long as we find a stream I can dunk my feet into for a little while," she said. She made a face. "Good boots or not, my feet are screaming at me." |
