Amy nodded.
"It will be nice to not have to worry about it," she said softly. "Not have to worry about running too hot or being pushed to control someone." |
Loki nodded. "I look forward to the day you are more comfortable in your own skin again," he said quietly.
Amy blushed slightly.
"I don't know that I ever was," she admitted. "It will be nice to find out what that's like." |
Loki nodded, settling in for a while. "I would rush Stark, but he is already working on Leandra's. Besides, this is not something to be rushed."
Amy nodded.
"I've been this way for a long time, a little longer isn't going to hurt much," she said. "I'd rather Lea get helped first. She's more uncomfortable with it than I am." |
Loki just shrugged. He doubted that it would take long after Lea had been fixed for them to start working on Amy, and he could wait.
"As long as you are comfortable enough," he said. |
"As comfortable as I can be," Amy said. "Internal temperature is normal, control is stable, virus is passive. I'm alright for now."
Loki nodded and settled in again, content to relax for a bit and let his magic recharge. And hope there was no backlash for what he'd done.
After a couple of moments, Amy quietly got out of her seat and went to settle in closer to Loki.
"So are you alright?" she asked him softly. "I didn't burn you, did I? When I wasn't... stable?" |
Loki shook his head, pulling her closer. "I'm fine. You did not harm me," he said quietly. It had been a close thing, but she hadn't. "I am just glad you're doing better."
"I was afraid I'd hurt you," Amy said softly, settling closer.
"You didn't," Loki assured her, pulling her in so they were both more comfortable. "Do not worry so much about that, I am more durable than a human."
Amy cautiously snuggled closer.
"I'm glad," she said. "I didn't want to hurt you." |
Loki stayed quiet, just letting her get comfortable there. He knew he was quite comfortable, after all.
Amy did get comfortable there, resting her head on his shoulder. It was nice, just being held like that. She found she liked it very much.
Loki was content to stay there for a good little while. He was also quite content with things at the moment.

It took another week and a half, but Tony finally emerged from his lab sleep-deprived and over-caffeinated, but with the completed, perfected virus in hand.
Lea had finally gotten some sleep, so she, like most of the rest of the Tower, was still asleep when Tony finished. She figured he'd let her know if there were any major developments.
Tony made his way to Lea's room and knocked on the door. He wanted to tell her himself, rather than having Jarvis do it.
Lea woke up, sort of. She blinked and made a motion at the ceiling so Jarvis would turn the lights on. "What?" she asked without bothering to actually move.
"It's done," Tony said, blinking a bit as the lights came up.
"Use more words," Lea said, automatically moving over to make room for him on the bed.
Tony went over and sat down on the bed heavily. He was exhausted.
"The virus. Extremis. I finished it, it's done," he said. |
"We'll play with it in the morning," Lea said, pulling him down next to her properly. "Sleep now. Virus fixing in the morning."
"Don' need sleep," Tony protested. "Jus' need more coffee." He swayed a bit, counteracting his words.
