Lea had a rough few hours after the procedure was over. Everything seemed clearer and louder, and she couldn't stop thinking long enough to just absorb everything. Plus she could at least vaguely feel every computer in the area, which was just freaking her out.

The caretaker assigned to look after her did what he could to keep the room quiet and dark for her while she adjusted. There wasn't much he could do about the electronics in the area, but he was able to close off the room so she could have quiet.

Elsewhere, Tony was starting to get a bit twitchy. He hadn't seen Lea in several hours, and that was unusual. She usually hung around the lab like a frog in a puddle. So something was very wrong if she wasn't there.

Loki headed into the lab, for the first time ever. "Something is amiss," he said, his eyes narrowed. "Someone has overcome the block I placed on Amy." Because he'd noticed it, but he wasn't sure if it had given out or had been broken. When she hadn't come back, he guessed someone else had helped it along.

Tony paused for just a moment to make sure he was really seeing Loki in his lab. Then he went back to one of his screens.

"Leandra's missing," he said. "I'd bet a lot of money that they're together, where ever they are."

"I may be able to find them," Loki said. "Maybe." Because he didn't have anywhere near his normal resources, but he could probably find Amy, anyway.

"Maybes won't cut it," Tony said as he tapped away at the keyboard. Every time he thought he had a lock on Lea's phone or Amy's phone, the signal disappeared. He swore under his breath.

Loki ignored him, instead focusing on the little thread in his mind he labeled Amy. It was a bit different from normal, brighter and stronger, and he swore under his breath. Inventively.

"I found Amy."

"Good for you," Tony replied. He grinned when his program finally got a lock on Lea's phone. "There she is." Getting up, he started to head upstairs. His best suit so far was ready to go on the balcony.

Loki didn't bother waiting for him, instead poofing himself straight to where Amy was and then blinking. Well, at least she wasn't hurt. And Stark would get there in his own damn time.

Amy was perfectly fine, physically. She had several men tending to her, literally catering to her whims as she relaxed on a chaise lounge. Most of her improvised harem was either shirtless or less clothed than that, and Amy seemed perfectly content with that. She glanced over when Loki appeared and, although she didn't react any more than that, there was a spark of recognition in her eyes.

Loki's eyes narrowed a little at that. Well, someone had upped her power, which was good and bad. Good because it meant when she learned control, she'd have more solid control. Bad because there was now more to control, and she didn't seem to be even making an attempt.

"Amy," he said, approaching her. "Have you forgotten everything already?"

A few of the men stepped in front of Amy, between her and Loki, when he approached. Amy raised a hand, though, and they backed off.

"M job is to keep them under control," she said simply. "The details were left to my discretion."

"Your job. Not so long ago, you did not want this job," Loki pointed out, eyeing a few of the Extremis people with distaste.

"I was weak." Interestingly, Amy didn't specify whether she was weak before the upgrade, or because of it.

"And you believe this is power?" Loki swept a hand to encompass the room. "This total lack of control?"

"I am in control here," Amy said. "They do what I want them to do. They follow my orders."

"Yes," Loki agreed. "But you are not in control. Not really. You are doing as you are told. As you were programmed to do."

Amy was quiet for a moment.

"Defiance is strongly discouraged," she said at last.

"And what does that leave you? A puppet for their uses?" Loki snorted. "And to think, I believed you had potential."

That made Amy flinch a bit, shrinking back. Even underneath all of her new programming, she still wanted his approval.

Loki noticed that, of course. And smiled. He could work with that.

"It seems to me that you were better off when you were thinking for yourself," he said mildly. "And not dependent on mindless servants."

"I'm not dependent on them," Amy protested. "I can take care of myself. I choose to keep them around."

"It's hardly your choice if you're so worried about listening to your programmers," Loki said with a scoff.

"They were given to me," Amy tried. "To do with as I want."

"Not likely." Loki snorted. "Granted, these fools are all weak-willed, they had no chance against you. Besides, are you doing as you like or as they want?"
