"I'll try it in a bit," Lea promised. "I want to see if I can get this up and running before I try to do anything else, for right now anyway." She nudged her bot with her toe.

Amy nodded and backed off.

"Come back upstairs when you're ready."

"I will." Lea watched her go before she got back to work on the bot, trying to keep herself busy for a while longer.

Tony wandered over a while later to see what Lea was up to. To his surprise, there was actually most of a robot there, and the pieces that were assembled seemed to be working alright.

"Looks good," he said.

"Thanks," Lea said distractedly. "Just need to finish the coding and I'll be done." Her bot was smaller than Tony's were, but it was coming along well.

Tony nodded, just watching. It was kind of fascinating to be on the outside of a bot build for once.

It took Lea another two hours or so to get the bot finished, but then she uploaded the programming and watched anxiously as two little lights came on. The bot moved slowly, looking up at her, before chirping at her in a clear question.

Tony was kind of impressed. Not only was it functional, it seemed to even have a sort of rudimentary AI in it. Or, at the very least, some good recognition programs.

Lea picked up her bot to check her over, making sure she was fine before setting her down.

"Tony," she said, pointing at him. The bot chirped another question, and it took Lea a moment to understand. "Lea." She pointed to herself. Because she wasn't egocentric enough to have her bot call her Creator or anything.

Tony just looked at Lea and raised an eyebrow. Speaking Bot was new. Granted, the questions weren't hard to decode even for someone not Extremis-enhanced, but still.

"I did program her," Lea said. The bot turned and chirped imperiously at Tony, clearly expecting him to move so she could explore. "Darling, just wait a minute, let's make sure all your parts are functional before we start exploring the great wide world."

Tony glanced at the little bot and then back to Lea.

"She knows this is my lab, right?" he asked. "Because I don't need two bots breaking things in here, Dummy is already more than enough."

"She knows to be careful," Lea confirmed, picking up the bot and checking her over quickly. "Alright, just exploring," she confirmed. The bot chirped and zoomed off around Tony once she was set down.

"That not bad at all," Tony said as he watched the little bot go. "I wasn't able to get it that good on the first try. Hell, Dummy still isn't quite there yet, but he's special. You and Butterfingers took a couple upgrades to get there, though."

"I've had too much time to observe your work." Lea shrugged, watching the little bot anxiously.

"I can see that," Tony replied. He watched as Dummy rolled over to meet the new little bot, extending his arm in greeting.

The little one chirped at him and bumped his arm. Lea didn't quite hover, but she did keep a close eye out.

Dummy rolled back and out of the way, letting the little one go explore more. He certainly understood what it was like to be in a new place. After a moment, he rolled over to make some smoothies. Clearly, the situation called for smoothies.

Tony saw what his bot was doing and sighed.

"Dummy, no, no smoothies, we don't need smoothies, do you hear me, I said no--"

"Darling, you don't have to learn from him, you're too little to make smoothies," Lea said with a little grin. The bot just chirped and went to go explore the rest of the lab.

Dummy happily rolled over a moment later, holding out a smoothie to Lea. Tony sighed.

"Check that before you drink it, just in case."

"I was watching, there's nothing bad in it." Lea took a sip and smiled a bit. "Don't wander far, Darling, just in the lab today."

Tony just watched as the bot explored the lab some more. Luckily, there wasn't anything too breakable out at the moment.

Lea managed to sit before she fell over, suddenly discovering that she was exhausted. She ran a hand through her hair, leaving bits of oil streaked in it.

"You okay?" Tony asked when she sat down heavily. "You look just this side of dead. Should I call Bruce? I can get Bruce for you, he's probably in his part of the lab."

"No," Lea said. "I just need to shut down enough to get some sleep." She yawned briefly, rubbing her eyes. Because she was exhausted but still twitchy.
