Tony just held her, letting her take her time in getting herself calm.
Amy settled there with him, getting a bit more comfortable even as one of the cats jumped up onto the bed.

Lea eventually calmed down and just tucked her head down against his chest, listening to the faint whirring of the Arc and his heartbeat.
Loki let the cat settle in with them, gently carding his fingers through Amy's hair.

"Yeah. Thanks." Lea didn't move away from him yet either. She kind of liked being where she was.

"No problem," Tony said. He maneuvered them over to the couch in the corner of the workshop and settled down on it.

Lea managed to relax against him, taking her time to settle down.
"Think Fury's going to try to pull anything on us?" she asked quietly. She was not at all looking forward to going to the Helicarrier.

"Probably," Tony said, shrugging a bit. "Fury's always trying something. We'll keep him back, though, we always do. And as much as I hate to admit it, he'll keep the government off our back, at least."

"Supposedly, anyway," Lea muttered, shifting a bit and snuggling in closer to him. She figured she was allowed now.

"Good. And I don't care what Fury says, you're not testing on some stupid agent first." Lea huffed a bit.

"Can't, anyways," Tony replied. "Everything we're doing is specifically for you, it won't work on anyone else."

"Yea but once you have it figured out you'll have the perfect virus," Lea pointed out. "And that can easily be adapted."

"That's the plan," Tony said. "That's exactly my plan. Adapt the virus to a bunch of different uses, toned way down, of course, and market it to the appropriate demographic."

"Maybe you should do something like Leonardo da Vinci did," Lea said speculatively. "Intentionally put a flaw in the coding or something that only you know about so that anyone who tries to steal it, including Fury, only gets a version that doesn't work."

"You don't need to sound so surprised, you ass," Lea muttered with a bit of a grin, smacking his shoulder for good measure.

For about two weeks, everything was fine, and no one tried to bother the girls again. Tony, of course, said they'd be fine.
Which is why Lea thought it would be okay for them to go a few blocks down and get some tea without an escort.
She was wrong.

Amy hadn't thought anything would happen, either, and was caught just as unawares as her sister. She barely had the chance to react before she was knocked unconscious.

Lea woke up in a cell, sore and groggy and quickly getting pissed off. This was so Not Okay there weren't even words.
She managed to get to her feet, the world only spinning a bit as she used the wall to steady herself. And then she started looking around for a way out.

Amy was in a different cell, just starting to wake up. Whatever they had used on her was enough to make her head feel fuzzy and make it hard to think, and it took effort just to stand up and look around.

When a door didn't become immediately apparent, Lea started to kick bits of the wall, trying to hear if somewhere was hollow. She was shaking off the drugs faster, but she had noticed a few pinpricks in her elbow. And that made her mad.

As Amy's mind began to clear some, she reached out to see if there were any minds in the area that she could grab on to. She made a face when she didn't find any, and she started looking around for a way out of the cell.

Not too much later, a hidden little flap was pushed open, and food was pushed into Amy's cell. Clearly, whoever had her knew that she was awake. But they didn't try talking to her.

Amy stared at the tray for a moment. She hadn't sensed anyone coming towards her cell, and that scared her. It either meant that they had figured out a way to block themselves from her, or they'd figured out a way to block her from everyone else. Neither option was comforting.
