Lea got similar treatment, although she was having problems because she couldn't feel any tech in the area, which was unusual. So she started pacing her cell, trying to figure out ways out of the situation.

Amy poked and prodded at everything in the cell she could find, but there were no ways out. Even the flap that the tray had been pushed through seemed to only be a one-way flap. Biting her lip, Amy put her hand on the wall and, before she could talk herself out of it, started raising her temperature. Her hand started glowing orange, and the brick under her hand began to heat up and soften. The orange glow spread up her arm as she pushed the temperature higher, and she worked to keep it under control.

Lea had no such help, as she didn't have that version of Extremis. So all she could do was wait.

Fortunately for Amy, there weren't guards posted right outside the room, but there were military personnel in the hallways.

By the time Amy was able to melt her way out of the cell, most of her left side was glowing brightly; both to melt through the brick and to heal the burns she was accumulating from the molten stone. Once she was out, she gave herself a moment to get her Extremis back under control, and then went to see if she could find her sister.

A few military personnel spotted her first and yelled, running after her. They knew she wasn't supposed to be out, and they knew she was dangerous. But they couldn't kill her, so they had to chase her down first.

When Amy spotted them, she did the first thing she could think of: she tried to take control. When it didn't work, she panicked and ended up setting part of the hallway on fire in her haste to get away.

"Lea!" she shouted as she went. "Lea, where are you?"

Lea got dragged into the hallway a little ways in front of Amy, a gun to her temple. She was shaking a bit, a black eye already blooming.

"I advise you stop," the man holding her said quite pleasantly.

"Let my sister go," Amy said, putting her power behind the words on the off chance that it worked. "I'm the one you want, let her go."

"Actually, we want you both," the man said, keeping his voice pleasant. "And that's not going to work on me, or anyone else in here, so you may as well save your energy."

Amy studied him for a moment before her shoulders sagged.

"What do you want from us?" she asked quietly.

"Your cooperation. And samples of your Extremis. Our... expert doesn't have a viable copy yet, so we'll just use you two."

Lea shifted at that. Her Extremis had already been messed with a lot by Tony and Bruce, and she wasn't sure what they'd find. But her squirming got her shaken like an errant kitten, and she winced and went still.

Amy flinched when Lea got shaken.

"Then you only need mine," she tried, a bit desperately. "Mine is the better version, it has all of the upgrades. Lea's is incomplete." Only partially true, since Lea did technically have a complete version of the virus, but Amy's was more complex, having been build on top of a previous version.

"No, we've heard about her coding abilities. Besides, she's been in close contact with Stark." He shook his head a bit. "Neither of you will be leaving."

"I'm telling you, mine is the better version," Amy said. "On top of an x-gene, even. Who would know better than me what she can do?"

"Yes, yours is the better version, but she knows things you don't," the man said. "Besides, we'll keep her a sort of incentive for you to cooperate."

Amy wanted to argue, but she had no more angles to try. Briefly, she considered trying to get into his head, but she wasn't sure how, since it hadn't worked before. Her shoulders slumped.

The man nodded. "Wise choice." He looked at her. "I advise you to go back to your room. Or rather a new room, as I suspect yours is no longer inhabitable."

"The box I melted out of?" Amy asked. "If you're going to keep us here indefinitely, something a bit better than a box would be nice."

"I'll see what I can arrange." The man's lips flickered in a smile. "However, for now, I believe I'll give you two a bit of a chance to talk until we can make arrangements."

Amy was quiet for a moment, and then nodded. There was nothing else she could do for the moment.

The man nodded and turned, keeping Lea in front of him as he walked them back to her cell, holding the door for both of them.

"Do try not to burn through any more walls or I'll be less inclined to be so accommodating."

Amy didn't respond, she just stepped through the door. She made no promises about what she would or wouldn't do if it meant getting out.

The door shut behind them, and Lea went over to sit on the bed, shivering a little. The black eye had already gone away again, but she was worried because it had taken longer than normal to heal.

Amy went and sat next to her sister.

"I'm sorry," she murmured. "I should have been able to get you out."

Lea shook her head. "It's fine," she said quietly. "They knew the instant you got out, and then they came and fetched me." She shivered briefly. "If you do get out again, don't come for me, head for an exit."
