Name: Kathleen Margaret Carpenter
Age: 27 Appearance: Long_Brown_Hair_96353_zpsb483b246.jpg Photo by hilldill | Photobucket Bio: Kathleen is a bit old fashioned by modern standards and likes things of the 1940's, an era she has heard much about from her grandmother Peggy Carter . She always enjoyed the stories about World War 2 she had been told as a child and wanted to be like her grandma Peggy. Kathleen can be as fiery as her grandmother at times and doesn't let the fact that she's woman stop her from getting things done. Kathleen majored in Computer Science and works for an IT company as a hacker.Kathleen does her best to live a quiet life outside of work but is finding that is getting harder to do these days. |

As she grew older, she pursued the sciences, determined to find a cure for not only ALS, but any degenerative disease. Due to her life-timer pursuit of knowledge, Laura is a bit naive when it comes to the world around her. Her high school boyfriends were textbooks, and her best friends were test-tubes and stoppers. Despite this, people she meets are quick to call her friend due to her easy-going attitude, so long as you don't bother her while shes working. Her research has taken her towards gamma radiation, which she has been furiously working at for months now. Though, an organization in Germany - the last remnants of HYDRA have seen her work, and are convinced she is close to unlocking the super solider serum that has evaded them since the death of the scientist who turned Steve Rodgers into Captain America. |
Kathleen looked at the clock in her small apartment and sighed. It was Saturday and she had already finished the chores she had on her list and had all afternoon to spare. She didn't feel like hacking for fun , since the last time she did it just creeped her out. A few days ago ,she had hacked into a website and had only looked around for 10 minutes she had covered up her tracks and logged out. She had to get her mond off that evwnt somehow.
Kathleen walked over to the picture of her and her grandma Peggy and smiled. It was taken on Kathleen's 10th birthday , which was the first birthday after her parent's deaths in a boating accident. Kathleen had always admired her grandma and had decided at age 10 that was who she wanted to be like. " I'll go see grandma today. I know a surprise visit will make her happy." Kathleen thought and went to change into nicer clothes. She changed into a vintage looking top and a pair of jeans, liking a mix of both modern and vintage. Kathleen grabbed her purse and locked the door to her apartment, hoping to shake the uneasy feeling she had walking toward the retirement home her grandma lived in. --- Bruce had been working on some research at the Stark Tower and still wondering why he had let Tony convice him to stay in New York. Bruce had been back in the states for 6 months , since he had gone back to Calcutta a few days after the battle with Loki and the Chitauri army. He remembered a little bit about it, but for the most part he didn't. Most of the details of the fight had been told to him by the other Avengers, and he appreciated it. He had tried to find peace again in isolation , but felt that was more stressful now since SHEILD knew where he always was. Bruce had a feeling that things in the last year had been too quiet, and had only been asked for help one other time. He noticed he had been getting better at accepting the green guy and felt that was part of his knowing about the fight with Loki. He was getting bit bothered by something , but wasn't sure what it could be, and figured he needed a break from his research. |
It had been a year since Steve Rodgers woke up in the year 2012. A year, and he still wasn't used to the face-paced, technical world of the future. Sure, there weren't any flying cars - but Steve had a hard enough time trying to work a computer and what the kids these days were calling 'facebook'. Social media was a mystery to him... as were the people in this time. He had been yelled at just the other day for holding a door open for a lady - apparently he was being a 'sexist asshole'.
There were also the fans - for awhile he had been paraded about, as Captain America. He was used to it from the shows he did during the war... But this was extreme. There were action figures, movies, comics... Kids loved super heroes, it seemed. He wouldn't mind so much, if the kids actually took it seriously, most believed his accomplishments were made up, like back in the day when he had fist fights with Hitler! Luckily, most days he made it through without incident in his civilian clothes. Natasha and Clint had assisted him with adjusting, and he had done a few missions for shield since the fight, but things had been relatively quiet. Tony liked to invite him over every now and again - he was still an ass, but Bruce was nice. Jarvis was something he was still trying to get his mind around. The worst thing about the future, more than anything else, was the fact that almost everyone he knew was dead - and not from a battle wound. They had lived full lives, got married, had children...grandchildren. One person was still alive, though, that broke his heart more than anything else. Peggy. She sat in front of him now. She thought it was 1945 again, and was telling him that they had won, and it was all over, and she was still waiting for him to take her dancing. Steve smiled. "We can go right now." He said, noticing the twinkle in her eyes -that was the same at least. They were sitting in the common room at a long-term-care facility. When the nurse came in, he asked her to put on some music. And although Peggy couldn't stand without a walker, Steve lifted her up into his arms, supporting her with his strength as he spun in circles with her. She laughed as they spun, and Steve sucked in a breath. As the song ended, he placed her back down in the chair. "You're a good dancer, Peg." He said, sighing. "I'll be right back, okay?" Stepping outside of the room into the hall, he placed his hands on the wall - his head hanging down. It wasn't getting any easier from the first time he came to visit her. --- A blonde lady sat at a small cafe down the block from Stark towers, the giant lettering clearly visible from where she sat. I know he's in there... I just know it. She thought to herself. Bruce Banner had been all over the news after the fight - all of the 'avengers' had. She had spent a few months before trying to track him down, but she wasn't an expert - and then poof - right before her eyes he appeared on the news channel, standing next to none-other than Tony Stark. Now... That had been a good year ago... But why would he have left? And the famous Tony Stark wouldn't let a mind like Bruce Banners to just go out and about... he would put him in a lab, work with him... At least, that's what Laura had deluded herself into thinking. Hoping. She was close - so close. But her area of expertise was Biology. Micro-biology, Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Tech, Bio-med. Gamma radiation had been a fluke, something she discovered during her leisure reading. Of course, once she found Bruce Banners earlier works - before the accident, she had to read them all. The man was brilliant. And it was him and gamma radiation that held the key to her work. She had been to the Stark building a few times already, but security was quick to turn her away, and Starks automated system was too smart for its own good. With any luck, she'd have to stalk the building until Bruce made an appearance. |
Kathleen took a deep breath before she started the walk toward the entrance to the care facility where her grandma lived. It was getting harder and harder to see her grandma think it was 1945 , but knew she would never abandon the one person she loved most in life. Kathleen knew that soon she would be alone, but quickly shook the sadness away. She was grateful that she was able to have this much time with her grandmother, even if sometimes her grandma didn't remember who she was.
Kathleen started walking again and thought about all the stories she had been told about Captain America. She knew most people didn't think those events really happened but Kathleen knew they did, since her grandma was one of the people to witness those events. Kathleen opened the entrance door and said hello to the nurse at the front desk. She came here every Sunday after church, feeling the need to be around people. She in the hall and saw a man about her age looking sad. He looked familiar to her and wondered if he was who she thought he looked like. She had seen many people here with the same look on thier faces and knew she at times was one of them. She saw her grandma in the common room and smiled to see her there already and entered. "I hope she knows who I am today. " Kathleen thought as she waved and said hello. --- Bruce was feeling hungry and decided a short walk wasn't going to hurt any, since where he wanted to go was just across the street. He really wanted a sandwich and some coffee before he went back to his project. It was nice to be out in the fresh air and to see Manhattan rebuilt. Bruce wasn't sure if the feeling he had was just hunger or really something wrong. There had been recent rumors about an old enemy of SHIELD resurfacing, but there hadn't been any solid reports. Bruce liked the small cafe since it helped him feel relaxed and had good food. He went to the counter and ordered his usual ham and Swiss on rye. He also ordered a decaf coffee and would eat back at the tower. Bruce still didn't feel comfortable around people, but thought he was making strides. He just had been in more remote places than densely populated places like New York City.He took his tray and sat outside, wanting to enjoy the sunshine.Bruce thought about the project on the effects of ultraviolet radiation on different metals. He liked being in a lab and helped him relax a bit to have a project like this. |
Steve took a few more breaths before straitening himself out. With the sigh of a heavy heart he turned back around and headed back into the common room. He stopped dead in his tracks as he saw Peggy, young again, healthy. He thought his heart was going to burst from his chest. A large smile played across his face and within a few strides he was back across the room. That was when he noticed Peggy, aged as always sitting in the same chair he had left her in. His breath hitched in his throat, confusion playing across his face as he looked between the two women. "I'm sorry. I didn't know you were expecting guests Peg." He said, cocking his brow at the young girl.
"Forgive my manners, I'm Steve - Steve Rodgers." He said, extending his hand. He tried his very best to cover up the pang his heart was feeling, akin to heart break and homesickness. --- Her mouthful of coffee almost spewed from her mouth when she saw him. Of course, it took a moment to recognise the man from the old photographs... But there was no doubt. A wide smile graced Laura's face as she quickly stood, her coffee left at the table as she swung her bag over her shoulder. Her excitement was paramount, this was the first time she ever got so excited over a boy - but she didn't think she was doing it right, just yet. Walking up to the counter, she handed over a bill. "Here, allow me." She said, paying for his order. |
Kathleen stood up and smiled. " It's nice to meet you Captain Rogers. I'm Kathleen Carpenter. I'm her granddaughter. " She said and blushed a bit. She realized once she heard his voice she knew who he was. Kathleen and watched all the newsreels her grandma had and hoped he didn't mind her calling him that, feeling a bit embarrassed. Kathleen had noticed him do a double take , and smiled. Kathleen knew that she would have to explain later that her mom Amanda had been Peggy's daughter and about her grandpa Jacob Carter. She didn't mind it but had a feeling it might get awkward.
" I'm glad my grandma has more than just me visiting her." Kathleen thought to herself. It was good to see her grandma happy and hoped all this excitement wouldn't tire her out too much. Kathleen had been told by her grandma's doctor that soon the time would come where her grandma would be bedridden. Kathleen knew when that happened her grandma would be closer to dying. She didn't like thinking about that , but knew that day would happen eventually. -------- Bruce was surprised and turned around to see a pretty blond. " Thank you very much. " He said with a kind smile and wondered if she knew who he was. Bruce was well known when it came to the study of gamma radiaon and wondered if she was an admirer of his. " Wait till Tony hears about this. " He mused to himself. He grabbed his tray and looked for a table. " Thank you again miss. Do you know where a good seat is?" He asked, wanting to know who she was. He could tell she had an intelligent face and might be good company. Bruce realized how disparate he was for conversation with a stranger. He talked to Tony most if the time and in occasion Steve and Clint. Bruce was glad that the other Avengers considered himself a good man, since it helped him feel more like his old self again. |
The veil of confusion lifted, but it did nothing for how he was feeling. Grandchildren meant children, and children meant husbands... Did he expect Peggy to mourn his 'death' her whole life? No. Of course not. Peggy had been a strong woman, she would have moved on, started the family that she always wanted. And.. oddly enough, Steve knew he would have wanted that for her as well. Though, he would give anything to be sitting beside her in that chair, as aged as she was, saying hello to Kathleen, his granddaughter.
"It's nice to meet you." He couldn't help but notice how soft, and small, her hands were compared to his. And he didn't fail to notice the title. He wasn't sure if that came from all the comics, figures, and the fan followed he still seemed to have - or if Peggy spoke about him, and their military achievements back during the war. He hoped it was the latter. "I was under the impression that youth today didn't like spending time in nursing homes." "Oh, she's a good girl, she always comes to visit me." Peggy spoke, the dreamy look seemed to have gone from her eyes, as she was very aware of where she was. Steve jumped, and smiled motioning for Kathleen to sit down before he took a seat next to her grandmother. "You two should go out for coffee sometime, I was always telling her that I wish she could have met you." -------- Laura bit her bottom lip, the smile still etched across her face. Though, as a rule she didn't believe in luck, just coincidence, she was thanking the higher power - if that be science, God, or Thor with his giant hammer that the odds seemed to be in her favor today. "It's no problem at all." She said, motioning towards the empty table she just left, walking towards it and taking her seat again. "The news makes you out to be a recluse." She said, with a chuckle. "Oh, I'm sorry - I obviously know who you are Dr. Banner... But you don't know who I am. My name is Laura, Dr. Laura Janney." Folding her hands under her chin she observed Bruce - observing was something she was good at - and found herself rather drawn to him for some reason she couldn't quite place. Although the military had called off their manhunt for him, they still made him out to be this dangerous villain - though public opinion had changed drastically since New York. She wasn't sure what she had been expecting... fangs, maybe? Realizing she had been staring, she sat upright, the stupid girly grin never leaving her face... it was almost embarrassing. |
Kathleen smiled and sat down across from her grandma and Captain Rogers. " I always wanted to meet you sir. Grandma Peggy told me of your achievements in World War Two. The stories in the comics aren't nearly as exciting to read about compared to hearing what really happened. " She said with a grin on her face. She knew most of the stories but there were a few her grandma didn't tell her the whole story. Kathleen understood that somethings were better left unsaid.
" I visit grandma as often as I can. Usually, I come after church on Sundays but today I had some free time . " Kathleen said.she usually used Saturdays to hack into practice sites and earn a little extra money. She inwardly shuddered at the last time she hacked for fun and hoped to heaven she wasn't in any danger. " Coffee does sound like a good idea. I know of a coffee shop close by that would be a good place to talk sometime. " Kathleen said with a smile. She had often stopped there for a sandwich before she headed home on Sundays and hoped she would have the chance to talk to one of her biggest heroes. ------- " Nice to meet you Doctor Janney. I do tend to keep to myself, even if the military isn't after me anymore. But I'm slowly working to reintegrate myself into society. " Bruce said with a smile and sat down with his food. He unwrapped his sandwich and took a bite , realizing he was hungrier than he thought. " So what is your field of study?" Bruce asked curiously. He was impressed that someone had sought him out and had a feeling Doctor Janney had read his papers on Gamma Radiation. He hoped she didn't believe the things the military had said about him over the last couple years because of the green guy. He took a sip of coffee and was looking forward to seeing how this conversation played out. |
Steve's face softened for a moment. "Coffee sounds... nice." And it did, he was sure if Peggy had told her stories that she probably had questions about the missions he went on without Peggy, and he knew he had some questions for her as well. She was the first person he met in this era that didn't make him feel completely out of time. "It's a date than." He said, using the word in the old sense - when a simple outing with another could be called a date.
Peggy chuckled, and he looked at her confused for a moment before a nurse walked into the room. "I'm sorry guys, but visiting hours are almost up for the day." She told them empathetically, smiling, before leaving so they could have their last few moments of the visit. "Since visiting hours are almost up, how about we go now?" Steve offered, standing and bringing Peggy's wheelchair closer. He scooped down, and gently lifted Peggy from the chair to place her in the wheelchair. As he stood up, he placed a kiss on her crown. They shared a sad look for a moment. "Now, why don't you two kids wheel me down to my room and go enjoy your coffee?" Peggy said, smiling at her granddaughter in a knowing way. ------- "You seem to be doing a fine job of that, Dr. Banner." Laura observed. He didn't look anxious, or worried. He looked utterly under control. "Me? Well, I'm a biologist - in almost every sense of the word I've done work in microbiology, immunology, anatomy and physiology, biotechnical engineering..." She trailed off, her cheeks becoming rosy from embarrassment, she wasn't sure why - usually she spoke of her work with pride, but she just felt as if she were bragging. "Um.. Lately, I've been shifting my focus - my research has taken an unexpected turn and I think the key to unlocking my research lie with... well, ah, your specialty." She was sure he had done work since the military accident that turned him into the hulk - but nothing published. Perhaps he had already developed his research enough to help her. Her eyes held a dreamy look in them - to finally reach her goal. Cell regeneration! It would be so far reaching! The big companies would try to buy it... but she wouldn't sell her research for all the money in the world - it would be used to help people! Cancer victims, amputees...ALS.... "I know it's forward of me... but I need you." ------- "Hydra 4 reporting in. Target is in sight - en route to a small eatery." "Hydra 3 reporting in. Target is in sight - destination a small cafe." "Excellent. Bring them in." |
" Sounds good. I promise to be here tomorrow grandma. Want me to bring you anything ?" Kathleen asked her grandma as she wheeled her down the hallway. She did have many questions for Captain Rogers and hoped he didn't mind them. Kathleen had been wondering if HYDRA really was still around and if they were still capable of hurting people. She figured he wouldn't know the answer to that one, but she was worried that a simple wrong turn on the Internet would cause something bad to happen.
" See you tomorrow Grandma. I love you very much. " Kathleen said and gave Peggy a hug, once they arrived in her Grandma's room. " Why do I always feel during these visits that there's the chance I won't see grandma again? " She thought to herself sadly. Kathleen was glad that she had decided to visit her grandma, and had met Captain Rogers. She hoped the fears she had about being caught were nothing , since she didn't want to lose her job over a simple mistake. It didn't help that the company she worked for was being bought out and that her new boss wasn't the one to overlook mistakes. ------- " Really? Biology is quite an interesting field. How would the study of gamma radiation help? I'm not meaning to be rude just curious. I would like to help you in your studies. I do have new research that you might enjoy looking over. I don't publish my work like I use to but I hope it can be useful to someone. " Bruce said. He had been working on cell regeneration and was making some progress. SHEILD wanted something that could speed up healing times, but he lacked the expertise in Biology. " I would be willing to help you and I'm sure I could convince those I work for to compensate you for your time. " Bruce offered. He was surprised he was acting this quickly but he was eager to work with someone who wanted to learn about gamma radiation. Bruce didn't think SHEILD would disapprove of him working with Doctor Janney, since lately they had been trying to find someone to help him. He had a feeling that something wasn't right and looked around. Nothing looked out of place , but that odd feeling was back |
"Oh, I'd love to read it!" Laura exclaimed. Sitting upright in her chair. "And well, I know it's a long shot... But I've been working on cell regeneration my entire career. I feel as if I'm so close - but every attempt I make just seems to lack enough energy to compensate for the increased metabolism of the cells. Now, it's no secret that gamma radiation has done some amazing things - past work by Anthony Stark on Captain America... your own..um... well. Accident." Laura said, heat rushing to her cheeks. Bruce was being so nice, she didn't want to offend him.
”Ah, I'm sorry... I get less tactful when I'm excited... I've been wanting to work with you since I first read your papers. Her colleagues had even teased her about it, making sexual jokes about how 'the green beast' was in bed. Her cheeks turned a darker shade of red at the memory. ---- Steve and Kathleen walked silently towards the cafe, it wasn't an awkward silence, but it was somber. An uneasy feeling ran down his spine a few minutes after they left the home. His heightened senses were on edge, and he quickly glanced around - not noticing anything out of place. Everything looked normal... well, normal for the 21st century at least. As a cafe came into view, Steve relaxed, now he'd be able to have a nice conversation - all would go well. "After you, ma'am." He said, opening the door for Kathleen with a smile and a playful bow of his head. "So, what would you recommend?" He asked, though, there wouldn't be any time to answer before the front window shattered and a dozen or so troops made their way into the small cafe. The civilians were screaming, as some of the troops aimed their guns to start getting people on the floor. Steve instinctually stepped in front of Kathleen. "Target alpha in sight." "Target beta in sight" Steve's brain went into over drive - he was all Captain America right now... Two targets... He looked around, surprised to see Bruce. So, they were after the Avengers were they? With so many civilians around it would be a dangers situation if they set Bruce off. Counting the troops, he saw about 16, perhaps with more outside. He was already in a fighting stance, but he symbol on their jacket caught him by surprise. "Hydra?" |
"That's fine. " Bruce said and was shocked at the moment the troops burst through the glass. Bruce made sure he remained calm knowing it would just make things worse if he became the Hulk at this moment . He didn't want to put these civilians in any more danger than they already were." Get down." He said and was ready to fight off these troops if needed and was relived to see Steve was here too, That was one thing that helped Bruce keep calm, the other knowing Laura was still here.
" I don't know who they are after. If they are after Steve and I they would have sent more, so it has to be some one else."Bruce thought as he crouched down. He was figuring a way to get Doctor Janney to Stark Tower without him Hulking out or Laura getting hurt. He would admit these type of situations were one of his weak points . He was learning but he still didn't understand it very well. ------ Kathleen had been shocked to see the troops burst at the moment she was going to reply. She caught sight of the symbol on the jacket and had a feeling these people were here for her. " I need to get out of here, but I know these people will won't stop till they have me."She thought feeling afraid. It was hard not to show her fear and didn't want to see any of the customers hurt because of a stupid mistake she had made. She wasn't going to let these soldiers take her without a fight, since it wasn't in her nature to give up so easily. Kathleen knew she wasn't able to fight back and would do what she could to make it out alive. She would keep close to Captain Rogers though would run if she was told ,but at the moment Kathleen was frozen with fear. |
Laura's screams were among the civilians as the glass busted, giving way to the soldiers. They had their guns pointed at the civilians, getting them down on the ground. Crouching down behind Bruce on his orders, she picked up a long piece of glass, wrapping the bottom of it in the napkin from their lunch which had just been so rudely interrupted. Her breathing was rapid as she worked. She wasn't a fighter, she could barely do one push up. She had no idea what these people wanted, so perhaps she would be better off laying on the ground and letting them go about their business... they seemed to be stalking towards the couple at the counter. No, wait. That's Captain America. Are they here for him? Do they want Bruce too? A sudden fear gripped her, and she grabbed Bruce's hand, shoving the make-shift weapon into his hand.
In the back of her mind, she knew if it came to fighting Bruce probably wouldn't need a weapon, but she hoped it wouldn't come to that. While she was sure Bruce wasn't dangerous, she couldn't speak for his Green Friend. Backing away, still crouched down, she stood upright when she felt a cold piece of metal on her back. The soldiers must have manoeuvred their way around. Her hands immediately flew up, her head slowly turning until the symbol on the woman's helmet became clear. Eyes wide, her eyes flew back to Bruce, and her bag that was laying a few feet away from him. "Bruce." She whimpered, as hands seized her arms. "Target alpha in custody." She kept her gaze fixed on her bag, he needed to keep it safe, they couldn't get their hands on her research! She wouldn't let them! As her legs kicked out, it caught her captive off guard as she sent a shower of glass in the direction of her bag. He needed to see it. He needed to- A sharp pain struck her skull, head lolling forward, Laura became unconscious. ------ Steve knew he couldn't underestimate these soldiers, especially if they were wearing Hydra's symbol upon their uniforms. Side stepping slowly, as the guns were fixed on him, he grabbed Kathleen's hand, pulling her down behind an overturned table as a barrage of bullets was sent off towards them. "Do you know how to use a gun?" He asked, though it may seem like an odd question because they were both currently gun less at the moment. Soon after he asked, he leaped up, pulled the two soldiers who had come over to follow them over the table, knocking their heads together and grabbing their guns, quickly handing one to Kathleen. "Your grandmother and I were in a similar situation once... we made it out fine." He said, chuckling to himself. His mind was focused, but the warm feeling of nostalgia ran through him. Steve stole a glance above the table - it seems they had a woman captive, and she knew Bruce. Was she the target? Or were they using her as bait? Turning his head back to Kathleen, he nodded towards the bathroom. "There should be a window in there... do you think you can make it out?" He asked. He needed to stay behind, guns and civilians didn't mix. |
" Of course I do. " Kathleen said with a grin. Her dad had started teaching her about guns when she was 7 and her grandma Peggy had continued to teach her after her parents died. Kathleen shot at the solders that were heading toward them and was determined to stay safe. Kathleen was surprised at that, since she didn't remember her grandma telling hr about that.
" I think I can get out. She said not sure if her apartment was the safest option at the moment. She caught a glimpse of the badge on one of the sleeves and tensed up. She recognized it belonging to HYDRA and remembered it was her recognition that had caused her to quickly get outmoded their website. She knew that if they got a hold of her they wouldn't let her forget that mistake. -------- Bruce jumped up and tried to follow after those who had captured Laura. The trick was not losing what little control he had left over the Hulk. Bruce knew that was any enemies tactic to make a bad situation worse and had been working to not be such a volatile target. He looked for the bag Laura had brought with her and saw it was missing. He hated to let down someone who admired his work and kept fighting off the solder, while getting the civilians out of here safely. That had to be the main focus now and afterwards would not rest until he found Laura. |
"Head to Stark Tower, tell Tony what happened - me and Bruce will get there as soon as we can." Steve said, nodding. He grabbed her hand, and have it a squeeze before grabbing a broken chair to use as a makeshift shied as he followed Bruce into the action, and fending off soldiers from the civilians. He had wanted to go with Kat, but he needed to make sure everyone was safe.
"How are you holding up? You should get out of here."He said, his authoritative tone back as he landed a punch into one of the soldiers. A hulk-moment wouldn't be good right now. "Target beta has left the building from the rear entrance." Steve froze, turning around, giving enough time for a punch to collide with his jaw and sending him backwards into the wall. Shaking his head and standing up quickly he cursed his stupidity. "Target beta in custody." "NO!" Steve yelled, punching his way through to the entrance. He saw the truck pull away and began to run after it - it was soon lost to the New York streets. ----- "Hey, did I miss the party?" Tony asked, clad in his iron man suit as he touched down in front of the shattered cafe. "Why the long faces? The hydra goons are gone, and they didn't get their hands on you." Tony said, Jarvis had informed him that the two were in the same building when Hydra attacked, and he assumed they were after the other Avengers. "Or are you just mad that they interrupted your little lunch date?" He said, smirking into the mask. |
Kathleen nodded and hurried to the bathroom. She was careful as she climbed up on a sink to get to the window and carefully dropped to the ground. It seemed too quiet back here and held the gun in her hand, before she started to run. She remembered being grabbed and the gun knocked out of her hand by the soldiers that had been in waiting. She had a bad feeling the woman in the bathroom was a part of these HYDRA agents.
The last thing she remembered before feeling intense pain as something was stabbed in her neck ,was that her purse was on the ground. " Please let Captain Rogers find it." She thought to herself before everything went dark. She knew if he found her zip drive that the information that it held would be in good hands. Kathleen would never admit to anyone she had made copies of what she had found on that site. . ------ "I'm holding up." Bruce had said and headed in the direction of Stark Tower. He saw the soldiers taking an unconscious woman with them but they had knocked him over." They abducted two women today." Bruce said controlling the anger he was feeling, since it had seemed to grow after the lady Steve had been with had been a target too. He was glad that neither of them had been targets, but it was the women the Hydra agents had taken. He needed to know why Laura had been taken as well. Bruce also had a feeling SHIELD knew about this and wondered how much they would want to be involved. |
