"You hardly ever share your tea, Bruce," Tony pointed out. "Everyone usually has to bring their own if they want it, I know this for a fact."
"I do share though," Bruce pointed out. "And me not offering to share doesn't stop Clint from using my tea." He knew this for a fact.
Tony waved a hand.
"Passive non-refusal doesn't count," he said. He grinned. "So what is it about her?" |
Bruce gave him a droll Look and went back to brewing tea without commenting.
Tony just beamed.
"I'm right, aren't I?" he prodded. "I knew it, you like her. Come on, Brucie~" |
"Tony--" Bruce sighed and gave up. There was no point in arguing with him when he was like this. "I enjoy her company," he said. "And she's not pestering me." He gave Tony a meaningful look.
"Pestering? This isn't pestering, I do not pester, I investigate," Tony said. "Anything that goes on with my science bro needs investigating."
Bruce sighed indulgently and shook his head a bit. "Tony," he said, looking at his science bro. "Go sit down before I make you."
"Bruce, you're no fun today," Tony said, almost pouting. Almost.
"Out of the kitchen, Tony," Bruce said, expertly herding the
"You can't chase me out of my kitchen, it's my kitchen," Tony protested as he let himself he herded out.
"And you will start setting things on fire just by proximity," Bruce said. "I'd really rather not have alarms going off, it tends to end... badly."
"I still say you and Jolly Green need to make friends, Brucie," Tony pointed out. "Everything'll be a lot easier once you do, I'm sure of it."
"I don't know if that's possible," Bruce pointed out. And honestly, he wasn't sure he wanted to try.
"Sure it is," Tony said. "We just need to poke at it some and figure out how. Come on, we're both geniuses here, we should be able to get this one."
"Some things aren't so easily fixed," Bruce said, making sure Tony was actually going to stay before he went to go finish making the tea for himself and Lavender.
"Brucie, not sure if you noticed, but our lives right now? Textbook definition of 'not easy'," Tony pointed out. "Come on, we can do this. You, me, and some quality time in the Hulk room with Big Green."
"How about we put that on our list for after we catch the idiot using Asgardian magic," Bruce suggested calmly, pouring tea and taking the mugs over to the table.
"That could take ages," Tony pointed out. "Which I'm betting was exactly your point. Honestly, it's not going to get any better if you put it off."
Bruce just shrugged. Hey, so far, ignoring the Other Guy as much as he could had worked great. He did look over at Lavender and pointed to her tea with a quirked eyebrow.
Tony just sighed and rolled his eyes. He'd get Bruce to come around eventually.
Lavender just smiled a bit as she accepted the tea. It smelled wonderful. |
Bruce moved out of the way as Lessa set cookies on the table to go with their tea. Lessa caught Lavender's eye and grinned.
Lavender saw the grin and fought back a bit of a blush. Nope, she wasn't going to be teased over tea, not going to happen.
Lessa just snorted and shook her head, relaxing for a bit. She was thinking about taking some baked goodies down to Loki later, but she wasn't sure just yet.
Lavender was about to settle in with her tea when her phone went off. Checking the screen, she grinned.
"Finally," she said, setting her tea down. "SHIELD's got a bead on the guy, we need to hurry." |
