"Some little backwater in the northeast," Runa replied. "I think I'm in Mass, almost in Vermont." She looked around for any signs. "Leyden. Leyden, Mass."

"Right. Uh, find somewhere to hunker down, we can be there in... a while." Dean headed over to another highway to head over in her direction.

"I'll see what I can find," Runa said. "My wallet is in with all my other stuff. I'll call again once I find somewhere."

"Just find an abandoned house," Dean said with a shrug. "You can find a way to flag us down, I'm sure."

"I'll see what I can find." Runa smiled humorlessly. "And if I have to light a bonfire in the front yard to flag you both down, I will. I would do a lot right now for a clean set of clothes and a Olympic-sized pool full of holy salt water."

"We'll see what we can arrange." Dean sped up. "Just give us a few hours."

"Sure. See you then." With that, Runa hung up and went to look for shelter for the night. Apparently, Luck was still smiling on her, because she was able to find a tiny twenty-four-hour medical clinic where she was able to beg a cot and a quick shower. Once she was clean, she borrowed someone's cell phone to send Dean the address.

It took them a while to get there, since they'd been a ways away, but Dean found the place and pulled up out front, leaving Sam in the car and going in to get Runa.

Runa was sitting next to the reception counter, leaning over to look at the computer screen with a coffee in her hand. She glanced over when the door opened, and grinned a bit when she saw Dean.

"Faster than I thought," she said. She glanced at the computer again. "Clearly I've missed some things in the last few... months, I think it's just a few months, right?"

"Three months or so, yeah," Dean said. "Why, how long were you gone on your end?" Clearly her timeline wasn't adding up right, which gave him a few ideas where she had been.

Runa bit her lip slightly, getting up and throwing out her empty cup.

"Somewhere closer to fifteen years," she finally said.

Dean's expression darkened at that, because he knew exactly where she'd been.

"What were you doing in Hell?" he asked quietly, watching her.

"Things, Dean," Runa replied. "Lots of things. And I'm really glad not to be there anymore."

Dean was quiet for a few moments. "Come on, get in the car," he said. "We've got your stuff in the back, and we'll stop and get a hotel for a day or two."

Runa nodded.

"Thanks for coming to pick me up," she said, following him out to the Impala. "Oh I missed the sound of that car," she commented. "That is a beautiful sound."

Dean grinned briefly at that and patted his baby before he slid in and started driving, going to get food for all of them and then to a hotel to get a few rooms for a day or two.

"So what's going on?" Sam asked once they were on the road again. He glanced back at Runa. "Where were you?"

"I was on an all-expenses-paid trip to the worst place under Earth," Runa replied as she settled back into her seat with a groan.

"You were in Hell?" Sam asked. "What were you doing there?"

"Things, Sam, I was doing things," Runa retorted. "Just had this exact same conversation with Dean."

"Things covers a lot," Dean said, glancing back at her as he drove. Then he dropped the subject for the moment. "How hungry are you?"

"Not as hungry as I think you think," Runa said. "I managed to beg a sandwich at the clinic while I was hanging out there. But there are a lot of things I would do right now for a salad with chicken on it because I don't even want to look at red meat for a while."

"Got it." Dean headed for a decent drive-through place and ordered her salad, along with Sam's, before getting his cheeseburger. He was quiet the rest of the way to the hotel, checking them in and moving his car out in front of the room.

Once they were checked in, Runa grabbed some salt and a rosary from her bag and headed for the bathroom. Time to bathe in holy salt water like she said she would.

Dean left her alone for a bit to do that, instead sitting and eating with Sam.

"Well, she's back," he said, glancing back after Runa. "And has apparently been in Hell this whole time."

"I heard," Sam replied. He sat down. "Doing what, though? That's the real question. Why would Cas have her go into Hell?"

"I'm not sure." Dean frowned. "I don't think I like it. There's something wrong about all of this."

"I don't like it either," Sam agreed. "And if she's been in Hell this whole time, what could that have done to her?"
