Runa raised an eyebrow and blinked her eyes, turning them black.

"I'm enough of one that I was able to slip in and out of Hell," she pointed out.

Sam chuckled a bit and nodded.

"Dean's favorite is apple," he said. "Or berry, one of the two."

"And?" Dean shrugged. "Doesn't make you like them. You don't go around making people do stupid shit, after all."

Kyra ordered one of each and carried them out to the car, already debating which one she was going to steal from under Dean's nose. She picked berry by the time they were on the road.

Runa blinked again, and her eyes went back to normal.

"No, I'm very firmly set in my body," she agreed. "Possession is still one thing I'll never be able to do. But I did learn a few other things, on my little trip."

Sam waited for her to get in before driving back to the motel.

"Well, that might not be so good," Dean muttered. "Could be worse."

Kyra just settled into the car, relaxing for the trip back. She was oddly relaxed in Sam's presence. Even though most angels still considered him an abomination.

"Yeah," Runa agreed. "I could still be there." She glanced at him briefly. "They remember you. Most of them, at least. You're kind of the equivalent of a celebrity."

The ride back was quiet, and Sam managed to get a good parking spot for the Impala before he got out.

"Oh. Wonderful. Just what I wanted to have happen." Dean rolled his eyes.

Kyra glanced over at him as he parked before she sighed.

"I think we need a second room."

"No worries, most of them know not to tangle with you two," Runa said, grinning a bit. "Not since the super-deathmatch thing. They're all a bit wary now of the two humans who were able to best Lucifer."

"I think you're right," Sam said. Reaching into his wallet, he pulled out one of the fraudulent credit cards. "Here, since I'm guessing you don't have much at the moment."

"Good." Dean snorted. "One good thing that came out of that, since we have to keep saving the freaking world."

"Try nothing," Kyra muttered. "I'll have to get a new phone." She took the card and headed up front to get another room.

"Seriously," Runa said. "You guys have the worst track record, I hope you know that. I have never met anyone else with as many world-threatening hunts on their resumes as you do, and my uncle was a hunter."

Sam waited until Kyra got back; he knew better than to just go into a motel room after having left his brother alone in it with a girl for longer than ten minutes.

"Yeah, well, if anyone else had as many as us, the world would have ended by now." Shaking his head, Dean leaned back in his seat, looking at her again. Hey, he was allowed, he was a red-blooded male.

Kyra blinked at him, holding the room key. "What, you want to come in or are you just going to stand like an awkward moose all night?"

Runa was well-aware of his gaze on her this time.

"See something you like?" she asked.

"I wasn't sure if you wanted me in there," Sam admitted, following her. "I'm more used to waiting until Dean's... done whatever's happening."

"Maybe." Dean grinned, letting his gaze linger. "That a crime now?"

"Yeah, sure, come on in," Kyra said, opening the door and ushering him inside. She didn't have any of her stuff, really, but she didn't care.

"Not at all," Runa replied. "Although I've heard tell that you have an angel in love with you, and I doubt he'd take kindly to you bedding an antichrist."

"Thanks." Sam followed her in and sat down on one of the beds.

"Who, Cas?" Dean snorted. "He is many things. In love with me is not one of them." He waggled his eyebrows at her and grinned. "I'm an open man, sweetheart."

"No problem. At least we're a few rooms down." Because knowing Dean's reputation and Runa, those two might be getting up to some mischief.

Runa raised an eyebrow.

"If you say so," she said. She grinned a bit. "I also have no such obligations."

"No kidding," Sam commented. Because he knew his brother when it came to women. "I really hope Cas doesn't mind."

Dean grinned and moved over to the bed instead.

"Well, then, sounds like that's an okay so far."

"This is Dean we're talking about," Kyra said, her voice dry. "He couldn't keep it in his pants if his life depended on it."

"As long as you're sure I won't get smote later," Runa said, grinning a bit. Leaning over, she gave him a brief, experimental kiss.

"You haven't seen that look Cas gets," Sam pointed out. "Like Dean's the only thing in this world that matters anymore."

Dean was all for that, and he leaned over and kissed her more thoroughly.

"Yeah, I know the general look," Kyra said. "Angels are very... intense."

"Yeah, no kidding," Sam said. "Cas gets that way about Dean. He has for a long time, probably almost since we met him." He snorted. "Neither one has a damn clue."

"Just typical." Kyra snorted. "Well, better than them being loud about it, far as I'm concerned."

"Good point," Sam agreed. "Though I'm just waiting for them both to realize it."

"That will be the day," Kyra agreed. "And I hope I'm in a different state." She snorted.

"Same," Sam said. "I'm sure half the country will know when those two finally admit it to each other."

"Yeah, no kidding." Kyra stretched out a bit and got comfortable, leaving her shoes aside for the moment and sitting on the bed opposite Sam. "So, how do we pass the time?"

Sam shrugged a bit.

"TV?" he asked. "I was going to check out some local news sites, maybe see if anything jumps out at me." Because no matter what else he had left in the room with Dean, he'd taken his bag with his essentials with him, just in case. And his laptop was in it.
