Runa kept biting her lip in an attempt to hold back the snickers, but a few still escaped. Oh this was priceless.

After they'd been driving a while, she nudged Dean's shoulder and gestured to an exit.

"Let's stop for some food," she said.

Dean grumbled a bit but got off the freeway, pulling off into a little town and finding, of course, the local diner and parking there.

He really didn't want to get out of the car in his state, though.

Sam didn't want to, either, but he was at least a little more practical than his brother.

"Come on," he muttered, "may as well get this overwith."

Dean grumbled all the way into the diner, and he slid into a booth grouchily, looking over the menu. Not even the sight of pie was improving his day.

Runa slid into the booth as well, albeit cautiously.

"We may need to go shopping," she suggested carefully. "Get you things that fit right for now."

Sam looked briefly horrified at the thought.

Dean started swearing quietly under his breath. He would yell but he was kind of hungry and didn't want to get kicked out.

"Fine," he agreed grouchily. "After we eat we'll find somewhere."

Runa nodded.

"Let's just eat for now," she said. "We can try to figure this out after."

Dean nodded and peered through the menu, trying to find something that sounded appetizing.

Lunch was tense and quiet. Not that Runa had really expected anything different, really. She was already on her phone looking for stores in the area where they could pick up a couple pairs of jeans and shirts, so she could try to make the shopping trip as painless as possible. And she was half-expecting to see Castiel waiting for them at the car when they left the diner, but the angel was still nowhere to be found. She wasn't sure which situation would have bothered her more.

Kyra ended up helping Runa find a place for them all to eat, since she quickly became uncomfortable with the silence. So she was eager to get shopping.

"Shall we go?" she asked when they'd finished eating.

"Yes," Sam said immediately. Anything to get back on the road faster. Runa nodded as well. Time to get this overwith.

Dean still grumbled the whole way but he didn't actually complain when Kyra picked a department store and started looking for stuff that would fit the two.

Runa started to browse quickly as well, glancing at Dean from time to time to estimate sizes. She handed a pair of jeans over.

"Try these on real quick for size," she said.

Dean grumbled as he walked over to a changing room and pulled on the jeans, which were a bit long but otherwise fine. He grumbled but started a pile of things to buy.

Kyra, meanwhile, was still looking for jeans long enough for Sam.

Sam scowled the whole time, just following Kyra around. Nothing fit right so far, as far as he could tell.

Runa had managed to find some plain black tees for Dean, and a basic denim jacket. Then she started towards shoes.

Kyra ended up getting Sam men's shoes, because his feet were still huge. And she found a few plain t-shirts and one over-shirt.

"Now we need underthings."

Dean followed her sulkily, glaring at anyone who looked at 'him' for more than a few moments.

Once shoes were taken care of (luckily, Dean could fit into average women-sized shoes like this) Runa cautiously steered them towards underthings. One look at Dean, though, and she just ended up grabbing a sports bra and underwear and calling it done. She wasn't about to try to get Dean fitted for a real bra.

Sam was scowling even more fiercely than before, and was staying close to Dean once the two pairs caught up to each other again.

"This is torture," 'he' muttered to Dean.

Kyra ended up doing the same. There was no way Sam was going to consent to an actual fitting, so she grabbed two sports bras. Just in case.

"No kidding," Dean growled. "I hope we're almost done."

Runa nodded.

"We are," she said. "You just need the bare basics, that's all. Everything else, we can make do."

Dean nodded and waited (somewhat) patiently for her to finish so he could pay and go. He was eager to be out of there already.

Runa got through the checkout line as fast as she could, handing the plastic bag to Dean.

"Here," she said. "We can stash that in the car once you're changed."

Dean nodded and took the bag as if it might contain explosives, looking displeased.

Kyra did much the same with Sam, handing his bag over. "Go change," she told 'him', pointing towards the bathroom.

Sam made a face and eyed the bathrooms warily. 'He' wasn't so sure about going into the women's bathroom, but apparently there was no choice at the moment.

"The quicker you change, the quicker we can get out of here," Runa pointed out to Dean.

That was enough to convince Dean, and 'he' headed into the bathroom with a determined look on his face so he could change and then get the hell out of there. He was very, very eager to get back on the road again.

Sam followed Dean, still making a bit of a pouting face. 'He' ended up wrestling with the clothes for a moment trying to get them on right, but emerged again properly clothed with 'his' other clothes stashed in the plastic bag.
