Why, so you can follow us? Runa snorted a bit. We'll be back soon, it's just a haunting. Besides, you all were otherwise occupied, and we caught wind of some omens, that's why we left without you. Omens gone, demon deported, we'll take care of this haunting and be back soon.

"Kyra, when we stop, check your phone, apparently you've got messages," she added to her friend.

"Will do." Kyra glanced over at her. "So, are things resolved yet or do we need to find a hotel room for the night?"

"Apparently things are in the process of being resolved," Runa said. "According to Dean, he and Castiel are working things out, and Sam has been acting like a kicked puppy."

Kyra snorted and shook her head a bit, but she didn't say anything else until she got to the town and found a parking spot. Then she turned her phone back on to see how much spam she'd have to wade through.

The vast majority of the spam was from Gabriel.

Come on back, everything's fine.

Sam's pouting, you know. I think he might miss you being around.

I can distract him if you want.

I'll distract him anyway, actually.

There was, however, one text from Sam floating amongst all of Gabriel's texts.

Call when you're on your way back.

Kyra sighed.

"I don't know how Gabriel got my number, but he did, and he's spamming me," she said, putting her phone back in her pocket. She was, however, pleasantly surprised with how calm Sam was being about this. And that was a very dangerous thought.

"Probably from Sam or Dean," Runa said. "He seems like one who would go into Sam's phone for the number."

"He would." Kyra sighed. "Well, let's go see about getting rid of this ghost. We can always ponder the mysteries of Gabriel later."

Runa nodded.

"Once we smoke this ghost we can see about heading back," she agreed.

Kyra nodded and went to go dig in the police reports to see what was going on so they could find the most likely suspect to dig up and salt and burn.

Runa waited while Kyra did that, just making sure they had enough salt and lighter fluid to burn a corpse.

"Any luck finding anything?" she asked after a little while.

"The only thing they all have in common is scratches and bruises," Kyra said, frowning. "They all died from blood loss, although the causes of that blood loss are different. One got cut in a bar fight, one fell through a window, one was shot..." She shrugged. "But they're all being bled out one way or another, along with all the typical signs of a haunting."

"Ghost sickness?" Runa suggested. "Maybe the original bled out somehow and that's what's happening."

"That was the first thing I thought of, but they're all dying different ways, and they were all out and about, so none of them were too paranoid to leave the house." Kyra shook her head. "It almost sounds like the ghost is hopping around in other people exacting revenge or something."

"So a vengeful ghost," Runa mused. "Think you can dig a little deeper? Did they all go to the same school or something? Or were they all in the same place at one particular time?"

"Give me a bit, I'm digging." Kyra went back to her computer, trying to find the link between them all.

It took her almost an hour, but she found it. "So, they were all friends with this kid, Jason Bellevue. He vanished ten years ago, when they were in college, but they were all supposed to be at this party."

"Vanished in this context meaning killed," Runa translated. "Does it say what happened, or what they think happened?"

"There's some conjecture that maybe he left the party early and got mugged. They found a splash of his blood in an alley not far from the house where the party was being hosted. But they never found anything else." Kyra shrugged.

"Oh, great," Runa said. "So we have no leads, no grave, and likely no blood spot to burn, either. Wonderful."

"Yeah, sounds about right," Kyra said. "The only lead I've got is there are two people who aren't dead yet who were supposedly part of the group of friends."

"Which means we have to talk to them," Runa said. "Let me check and see if I brought my skirt. I may have left it in the Impala."

"If not, there's a store, we can grab a few," Kyra said. "I know mine is somewhere in the trunk of the Impala."

"We'll have to stop, then," Runa replied. "Ugh, I hate not being prepared. I'd hoped this would be a simple haunting."

"The demon was simple, we couldn't have two in a row," Kyra reasoned, starting to walk over to the store. She figured it wouldn't take them long to get clothes and find one of the two people to talk to, but she did want to finish up soon.

"I almost wish it was the demon that was the pain in the ass," Runa said as they headed over to the store. "Hauntings are infinitely worse when there's no grave."
