Runa nodded and forced her way into the house, closing the door behind her.

"Now," she said, turning her eyes black as she looked at the guy, "you're going to answer our questions so we can be on our merry way. It's in your best interest to cooperate."

The guy actually squeaked a bit and backed up, tripping over himself and landing sprawled on the floor. Kyra moved inside and shut the door so they could have a bit of privacy.

"Now, if you please, tell us exactly what happened," Runa said. "We'd really like to put a stop to what's going on, and to do that we need to know what happened and where."

"I didn't--I wasn't..." The guy scrambled for a few moments before he got himself into a chair. "I was just the lookout, I wasn't involved, I didn't do anything."

"But you know what they had planned," Runa said. "And you knew where. So tell us."

The guy put his head down in his hands.

"It started out as a joke," he mumbled. "Some of us got annoyed with him; he was always correcting us. So we told him some legend we made up, about a girl who went to this old shack out in the woods and hanged herself. So we dared him to stay the night. At first we were just planning to scare him, but he ran. Ran himself right into a bear trap." The guy shivered. "He was dead when they found him, looked like he'd torn an artery or something. I never left the party; I was supposed to make sure people thought we were all still there."

"What did they do with the body?" Runa pressed. 'In the woods' was really vague, and they didn't have time to search the whole forest.

"They told me they buried him next to the shack," the guy mumbled. "I swear, I wasn't part of it, I was just keeping up appearances at the party."

"You were involved, which will be enough," Runa said. She glanced at Kyra. Their best bet was to get out there that night and try to find the corpse to burn. "Did they say which side of the shack?"

"Under the window," the guy replied hesitantly. "I think."

Kyra nodded and opened the door again so they could leave and find out where exactly this shack was. Then they had some digging to do.

Runa nodded.

"Alright," she said. "We'll take care of things. Lock yourself in tonight, don't go anywhere, and don't do anything that might make you bleed."

The guy blinked but nodded slowly, watching them leave.

"Alright, now we just need to find this place." Kyra shook her head a bit.

"Yeah," Runa said. "It might be in public records, we should look there first."

Kyra nodded and headed for the library, starting to dig through what she thought they'd need. She was hoping she wouldn't have to spend too long at it, though.

Runa helped, digging through every resource she could get her hands on.

"Anything?" she asked Kyra after a couple hours.

"I think so." Kyra pulled a sheet of paper over. "This mentions a hunting cabin. And this," she flipped to a different sheet, "is a map of the town and surrounding area a while later and marks what they call a "shack" out here." She pointed.

"Is it the only thing marked?" Runa asked. "If it is, let's head out there and see what we can find."

"I don't see any other structures marked in this area," Kyra said. She took a quick picture of the map anyway, just in case, before she put everything away and headed for the door so they could go change and see if they could dig up a grave.

"Then let's go find this thing so we can end this haunting," Runa said. She pulled at her skirt a bit. "And I want to get out of these clothes, I want my jeans back."

Kyra snickered a bit. "You sound like Dean," she teased, heading back to the car so she could grab her own clothes.

"Hush," Runa said, flushing a little. "I just like my other suit better, it's nicer."

Kyra grinned a bit but didn't try to tease her more, instead ducking into the car to change quickly, and then letting Runa have her turn. She was feeling more at ease in her jeans, and she took a quick look at the picture on her phone to figure out where they needed to go.

Runa ducked into the car to change, and came back out in comfortable clothes again.

"Much better," she said, stretching a bit. "So, into the woods, then?"

"First we grab some shovels, then we go into the woods," Kyra corrected. "Since this car didn't come equipped with any."

"I saw a hardware store a few blocks back," Runa offered. "They should have good shovels."
