It tried to eat me so we disposed of it, Kyra texted back.
Dean nodded, torn somewhere between disappointment and relief. "Awesome. I still want to see the damn thing, so shall we head over their direction?" |
"Sounds good to me," Runa said, nodding. She slipped her phone back into her pocket and glanced briefly at Cas. The angel could likely find the other group the quickest.
|
Indeed, it took Cas only moments to find them. He led them in the correct direction, walking this time. He knew Dean didn't exactly like to be flown places and he doubted Runa would either.
|
It took them several minutes to find the other group. Runa blinked when she saw the monster and swore softly in Latin.
"What the hell is that?" she asked. "I've never seen anything like it." "According to Gabriel, some sort of prehistoric sheep," Sam replied. He looked at his brother to try to catch Dean's reaction. |
Dean just looked freaked out for a few moments before he shook himself. "Prehistoric sheep? That is just so, so wrong," he muttered, walking over to get a better look.
|
"'Prehistoric' and 'sheep' don't belong in the same sentence," Runa agreed, looking at the beast.
"Well, that's what it is, essentially," Gabriel said. "It had to start out that way, to make it to what sheep are now." He glanced at Cas. "Hey, little brother. No other dangerous things out there?" |
Cas shook his head. "Nothing else I can feel," he said, looking at Gabriel. He glanced between his brother and Kyra before he frowned, just a little bit.
Dean poked the thing with his shoe, because there was no stick handy. "Weird shit," he muttered. |
Gabriel nodded.
"Then we're done here," he said. "No kidding," Sam murmured back to his brother. "And we have no idea where it came from." |
"That could be bad," Dean muttered, watching as Kyra headed for the cars again. "Dude, what happened?" Because even he could tell there was some tension between Gabiel and Kyra now.
|
"Got me," Sam said. "They've been sniping at each other the whole time, just out of nowhere."
|
Dean eyed the two for a few moments.
"Maybe they just need to roll around in the sack for a while and get over it?" |
Sam made a face.
"Is that all you think about lately?" he asked, looking at his brother. |
"Of course not," Dean said with a scoff. "But it works sometimes."
|
"Well, then I could suggest the same thing about Runa and Cas," Sam pointed out. "They've been walking on eggshells around each other for a little while now."
|
Dean nodded. "I noticed that too," he said quietly. He didn't outright reject the idea, because (to himself, at least) he'd admit that the idea wasn't bad. At all.
|
Sam raised an eyebrow when Dean didn't immediately protest the idea.
"Wait, do you want them to sleep together?" he asked. "I thought you and Cas were kind of... exclusive." |
"We are," Dean said. "But the idea isn't bad. I mean, it would definitely be hot." He grinned and waggled his eyebrows at Sam.
|
Sam snorted.
"Honestly, Dean, be serious," he said. |
Dean grinned at him but didn't reply.
"Come on, let's get going before the girls drive off without us." |
Sam rolled his eyes and sighed.
"At least make sure Cas is on board with it first, if you're going to try that," he said. He knew how skittish the angel could be sometimes when it came to unconventional ideas. |
Dean just nodded. He wasn't that much of a dick, and he doubted Cas would go for it right now. He'd just have to wait a bit.
|
With that, Sam got into the Impala.
Runa followed Kyra into the other car. "Everything alright?" she asked her friend. |
"Yeah, everything's fine," Kyra said, glancing over at her as she started up the car, although she wasn't sure yet which direction they'd go.
|
"You sure? Cause there was definitely some tension in the air back there, and not the good kind of tension," Runa said as she settled into her seat.
|
"Well, Gabriel's a dick and I'm not particularly fond of him, but nothing other than that." Kyra shrugged.
