"What I want to know is how you did it to begin with," Runa said, eyes bright with interest. "I've never thought about doing that before. And how did you undo it?"
"Just thought him back to normal." Jesse shrugged. "It wasn't hard, really. I haven't tried it again since, though."
"You've got talent, then," Runa said, grinning a bit. "I might have to try that sometime, maybe with a tree or something. Or maybe when I check in in Hell, I might be able to try it on some of the low-levels and see how it works."
Jesse snorted. "Yeah, you do that. I don't think I'll be testing that on anyone else unless I have to."
"I could probably get you some demons to practice on," Runa offered. "You should learn how to get them out of people without a verbal exorcism, anyways."
"Yeah," Jesse agreed. "That comes in handy." Again, something else he hadn't had to practice in a while.
"It really does," Runa said, nodding. She grinned. "I got good at it just so I wouldn't have to taste smoke every time someone says the exorcism."
"Yeah, I'm not surprised. Exorcisms are unpleasant, although they're much less so now." Jesse grinned a bit.
"Now that you know how not to throw up," Runa said, grinning. "Though our resistance to exorcisms is because we aren't possessing our bodies, they're actually ours. It also means we can't be possessed, too."
"I know," Jesse said. "Which is nice. Although since so far I've been avoiding demons altogether it hasn't been much of an issue."
"Well, now you'll be more prepared in case you do," Runa said. "And I'll make sure you have my cell number so that if you run into any who give you problems, you can tell them you have the Lieutenant on speed-dial."
Jesse snorted. "That'll be fun," he said with a little grin. "I'd love to see a reaction to that."
"If they don't immediately leave you alone, then it's the wrong reaction," Runa said, smirking. "In which case, you're more than welcome to deport them back to Hell."
"I'll keep that in mind," Jesse said with a bit of a grin. "So, what should we practice now? Anything in particular?"
"I think we should practice warping reality," Runa said, grinning. "You need to practice it, and I just think it's kind of fun, and if we pitch it just right, we might be able to get Gabriel to cover for us with the normal humans."
"Alright," Jesse agreed. "Sounds good. What should we start with?" Because messing with reality took a lot of different forms and he had a few ideas.
Runa studied him for a moment.
"You look like you have something in mind," she said. "I'm just here as supervision at this point, so go for whatever it is." |
"Well, I turned an angel into an action hero, so what if I can turn an action hero into a person?" Jesse grinned.
"We can try," Runa said. "Though I'm not sure how well it'll work, since you were able to turn Cas back because he had been alive to begin with."
"Right, but isn't this what we're supposed to be able to do?" Jesse asked with a grin. "It'll be fun to try, at least, even if we don't do much."
"Well, we can play around with it," Runa said, nodding. "Go ahead. Knock yourself out."
Jesse nodded and looked around briefly for some kind of inspiration. Then he grinned. There was that little army guy in the Impala, he probably had lots of personality. So he focused on the Impala.
Runa could feel the slight tug of power from Jesse, but she had no idea what was about to happen.
Instead of the army guy turning into a real guy, the entire Impala suddenly vanished, and in its place sat a disoriented-looking man. The guy blinked and looked around, then looked down at himself. He flexed his hands, and then cautiously moved his arms and legs before looking around again with wide eyes. "What just happened...?" he asked. |
"I think it worked," Jesse said with a blink. "Should we go look?" He bounced a little where he stood. If it had worked, he'd be very happy.
"Sure, let's go see what you managed to do," Runa said, grinning a bit. "I'll follow you."
