"...What?" Kyra looked at him, eyes wide, blinking. She hadn't been just making things. She just had to search for them sometimes.

"Yeah, fun stuff, huh?" Gabriel said, grinning. "Come on, you can't tell me you never played around to see what you could do."

"Not really, actually," Kyra said with a shrug. "I know I've got wings and I know how to keep them hidden, that's about as much playing as I've done."

"Really?" Gabriel's grin got wider. "Then we'll have to go out and have some playtime of our own, once this thing with the car is dealt with."

Kyra gave Sam a look that was only a little panicked. She was not used to playing around with her powers, not at all.

Sam raised an eyebrow. Hey, it wasn't his decision. It was almost the complete opposite of his decision. Who was the King of Hell to tell a nephilim and an archangel what to do?

Kyra pouted a bit. "Fine, we'll play with stuff later," she said, looking at Gabriel. "Food first, then figuring out what we want to do about Baby."

Baby just looked at them all, looking a little lost still.

"I'm already working on it," Runa said as she got a plate. "Been thinking about it the whole time."

"Once this is resolved, we can go off and play," Gabriel said, nodding.

"No rush," Kyra said dryly, finally settling down to get some food herself.

Dean still looked a little bit weirded out to be in the same room as his now-human car, but beer was helping. And he was eating a bit.

Runa kept an eye on everyone she could. She kept Jesse in sight, she kept Dean in sight, and she made sure to keep track of Baby. She figured everyone else could keep track of themselves for the night while she puzzled out how to fix Baby.

After dinner, Baby ended up in the living room just kind of exploring everything. It was all new to him, after all.

Runa kept an eye on Baby, once she'd handed Jesse an old hunting journal to flip through. Hey, the kid may as well know how to handle some of the other nasties out in the world.

"You doing alright?" she asked Baby after a few moments.

"It's all so new," Baby said quietly. "I'm not quite sure what to do with myself now." He traced his fingers over the table.

"I imagine it is," Runa said, nodding. She grinned a bit. "You could give me some good blackmail on Sam and Dean, if you want. You probably know all the best stories about them."

Baby smiled at that. "I know a lot about those two," he confirmed. "But I don't think I'll go spilling secrets just yet, in case I decide to stay this way."

"Oh that's not fair," Runa said, grinning. "You're such a tease. At least give me something."

Baby considered for a moment. "There was a little toy that Sam had as a child. John threw it away but Dean saved it and keeps it in a little hidden compartment in the trunk. As far as I know, Sam doesn't know."

"Really?" Runa asked, grinning a bit. "That's so sweet." She went quiet for a moment. "I've met John, once or twice. In Hell. I can't say I like him."

"John's a difficult man," Baby agreed. "But his sons meant the world to him, and he did what he thought was best. Can't fault him too much for that."

Runa raised an eyebrow, and then shook her head a bit. She knew that John cared a lot about revenge, to the detriment of his sons, but she didn't say that aloud.

"There's something about him that rubs me the wrong way," she said finally after a moment. "And I was trained in Hell. I don't know, I just don't like him."

"He can be a difficult man to get along with," Baby agreed. "Then again, so can the boys, depending on the person and the day."

"Depending," Runa agreed, nodding. "Though they're better recently, from what I understand."

"Better and worse," Baby said with a shrug. "Better, a little more balanced, a little easier. But also more tense, quicker to rile up."

"Interesting," Runa mused. "Good to know. Though the tension could easily be credited to the situations at hand. Some of this takes some getting used-to."

Baby snorted. "No kidding," he said. "Ah well. The boys tend to settle more easily once they're in a routine, even if the routine is just hunting."
