"No problem at all," Elena agreed, setting her stuff in one of the rooms. "So, now what? Unpack first, or make a list of what we need, or go tell the guys we're in London?"
"Unpack, I think," Abby said. "I don't want to live out of a suitcase for too long. Then we can contact John and Sherlock. Sound alright?"
"Sure." Elena set about unpacking her things, spending a little while doing that. It wasn't everything she owned, so she'd have to get some more things later, but for now she was just happy she had all the necessary stuff.
Abby did the same, hanging up the clothes she had and setting aside a set to change into once she was done.
Once she was changed and refreshed, she met Elena in the living room. "So now what?" she asked. |
"We've got two options, as far as I'm concerned," Elena said. "Grocery shopping or going to see the guys."
"Ooh, grocery shopping, good call," Abby said. "I hadn't thought of that. Do we want to do that today, or just get dinner out and do that tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow I think, the fridge isn't cold enough yet, I just plugged it in a little while ago." Elena shrugged.
"Alright," Abby said. She grinned. "Then let's go find the guys."
Elena grinned and nodded, getting her purse and going to go hail a taxi for them again. She figured tomorrow they could figure out the tube.
Abby grabbed her purse as well. Time to see if they could find where John and Sherlock were.
It didn't take the cabby long at all to find 221 Baker Street, and Elena got out and looked at the building.
"Well, shall we?" |
"Let's do this," Abby agreed. Going over, she rapped the knocker on the door.
Mrs. Hudson answered the door, blinking at the girls. "Hello," she greeted. "Can I help you?"
"Hi, um... We were looking for Dr. Watson and Mr. Holmes?" Abby said cautiously.
Mrs. Hudson smiled. "Of course. Just a moment, dears," she said, leaving the girls at the door and heading up the stairs. "Sherlock! John! There are a few girls at the door! John, did you have a date tonight?"
"What?" John looked up from his computer, looking at Mrs. Hudson, blinking. He hadn't been expecting anyone. |
Sherlock looked up as well, puzzled. Women hardly ever called on them, and he knew they weren't clients. They didn't knock with the typical hesitation clients had. He glanced at John and raised an eyebrow.
John shrugged and went downstairs to go see who was there. He blinked when he saw the girls, his jaw dropping a bit.
"When did you get here?" he asked, blinking at them. |
Abby grinned, turning a bit pink.
"We landed in London a few hours ago," she said. "Spent some time getting our apartment together, then we decided to make our way here." She gestured to the number on the door. "You know how ridiculously easy it is to find this place? Everyone knows about it." |
"Wait, apartment?" John asked, blinking. He already knew that it wasn't hard to find their flat, they had people show up all the time.
Abby nodded.
"Yeah," she said. She turned a bit pink again. "I got transferred from my job, out of the States. I'm working here in London now." |
John grinned. "Well, looks like I'll be seeing a lot of you," he said cheerfully. "Oh, would you like to come in? We can make some tea."
"Sure," Abby said, grinning. She went inside, although she did make sure Elena was with her.
Sherlock was keeping an eye on the door. He could hear bits and pieces of the conversation downstairs, enough to piece the general situation together. So he waited for John to come back in. |
John didn't bother to tell Sherlock what was going on; he figured Sherlock already knew. He just went into the kitchen to start making tea.
Elena looked at Sherlock for a few moments, waiting to see if he'd comment. They hadn't exactly parted on the best of terms, after all. |
Sherlock glanced at her, only slightly surprised to see her.
"You're here too," he said. "I suppose it's only sensible." |
"Yes, you would think that," Elena said, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms over her chest. "One of the smartest people on the planet, and you don't have a damn clue how people actually work."
