The twins pulled open the door for her and let her in first so she could order while they looked around and debated what to get.

Liz knew exactly what she wanted, and was contentedly sitting down with a salted caramel coffee within minutes.

"Oh yes," she sighed as she took a sip. "This is perfect."

The twins just grinned and got their own drinks. Kaoru got a red velvet mocha while Hikaru got a latte with hazelnut, and then the two rejoined her.

Liz had taken a table by the window, and was watching the people go by.

"This is a nice place," she commented. "I'm glad you two found it."

Kaoru nodded. "Sometimes it's nice to find quiet places," he agreed.

"Agreed," Liz said, nodding. She sighed a bit and sipped her coffee. "It's nice to get away from the show. The models were starting to get catty."

"I'm sure they'll be that way for the remainder," Kaoru said with a shrug. "Happens every show."

"Thus why we get shooed away," Hikaru said with a bit of a pout.

"I was asked three times if I could get someone their favorite piece from the collection because another girl was wearing it," Liz deadpanned. She raised her voice half an octave in mimicry. "Charlene is wearing the statement necklace! Can't you get it for me instead? Lizzy, can't you get your mother to make an exception? I don't want to wear the green, I want to wear the plum! Who designed this shirt, a Starbucks worker? Marcy's is much nicer!" She made a face.

"The models never ask us anymore," Hikaru said. "They learned not to."

Kaoru snickered.

"I'd punch one of them if it wouldn't get us both in trouble," Liz muttered. "I like designing; I don't like the models much."

"Models are never easy to like," Hikaru agreed.

"There was one who wasn't so bad," Kaoru said with a shrug.

"But she left the business a few years ago when she married some British guy."

"Of course it was a British guy," Liz mused. "England seems to be the most reliable when it comes to producing great guys."

"Oh I don't know," Kaoru said. "There are some pretty great guys who aren't British."

"Besides, the British are far too stuck in their tea ways," Hikaru sniffed.

Liz laughed lightly.

"So say the ones who import tea," she teased them.

They just grinned.

"Not British tea," they chimed.

"They import tea, too," Liz pointed out. She grinned. "And besides, I've seen plenty of pretty British men, and only one of them was a model."

The twins shrugged. "British men aren't as bad as Australian men," Hikaru said with a snort.

"Hugh Jackman and the Hemsworth brothers," Liz agreed, grinning. "Lucky me, both Natalie Portman and Jennifer Lawrence wanted to wear some of my mother's designs for their red-carpet events, and I got to be in the same place as Chris and Liam Hemsworth."

"They're also unusual for Australians," Kaoru pointed out. "The average Australian man is kind of a dick."

"We've met several," Hikaru added.

"Good to know," Liz said. "I'll avoid going there, then, unless I have to." She made a face. "My mother is planning a show there eventually, I know."

"A show should be fine, that's too public for guys to openly be dicks," Kaoru reasoned.

"Besides, Australia can be a pretty nice place, just ignore the men under forty." Hikaru grinned.

Liz couldn't help but laugh a bit.

"Sounds like you speak from experience," she teased them both.

They both grinned. "Of course we do," they chorused before they both took a drink.

Liz couldn't help laughing, trying to hide it behind her drink. This was why she liked hanging out with them.

They grinned, content to let her be for the moment. They could make her laugh more later on. But for now that was enough.
