"I'd like that," Lucy agreed with a smile. "We could even make lunch of it, if we wanted to." She started walking again, though she kept most of her attention on him.
"We can," Mori agreed. He made a mental note to clear part of his schedule with Kyoya, so he didn't have any clients.
Lucy smiled and stopped up at the top of the hike, taking a few minutes to enjoy the view and look down on the spa below them. And possibly shift closer to Mori so she wouldn't slip off the edge or anything.
Mori put an arm around her waist carefully to keep her from falling, making sure to keep his hand well above anywhere that could be considered uncomfortable or inappropriate.
Lucy blushed a bit but didn't say anything, instead just staying there. She didn't mind, after all.
"Thanks for letting me come with you." |
"It was my pleasure," Mori replied with a small smile.
Lucy smiled and stayed quiet for a few moments before she spoke again.
"So it sounds like you and Honey spend a lot of time together outside of club, too." |
"We do," Mori said, nodding. "We are cousins." It was a bit more than just that, but 'cousins' tended to be an easier explanation than 'I was raised to be his best friend and companion because my family used to serve his until they were united through marriage'.
"I wouldn't have guessed based on you two," Lucy said with a grin. "However I can tell you two are very close."
"Cousins through marriage," Mori amended. "We grew up together."
Lucy nodded. "One of those types," she said. "Sometimes those are the most fun families. You two are really lucky to have each other, it's wonderful."
"We are," Mori agreed, nodding. He knew how lucky he was to have Honey as his best friend/cousin. He looked at her for a moment. It wasn't often someone commented on his relationship with Honey in a positive way like that. He found he liked it.
"Although I don't know much about either of you other than that," Lucy admitted with a grin. "Do either of you know what you want to do? Or are you being groomed to take over a company?"
Mori shrugged. He hadn't thought much about it.
"I'm not," he said. "Mitsukini was being groomed for his family's dojo. He passed that on to his brother." |
"So you both have open options now, huh?" Lucy smiled. "That's kind of nice."
"It is," Mori agreed. He knew how stressed out Tamaki and Kyoya and the twins tended to get over their familial obligations, and it felt good not to have such things looming over his head.
Lucy smiled a bit and leaned into his side a bit without thinking about it. "I think I heard that Honey has a brother?"
Mori nodded.
"He does," he said. "Yasuchika. He is more suited to the dojo than Mitsukini is." |
"I can't see Honey running a dojo. I mean, I can, but I can't see that being his life, he likes his sweets too much." Lucy grinned.
"Exactly," Mori replied, grinning just a bit. "Yasuchika is much more suited."
Lucy chuckled and shook her head. "Well, good for those two for figuring things out."
Mori nodded, still smiling a bit. He liked that Lucy seemed to understand things about them.
"And yourself?" he asked. |
"Not sure yet," Lucy said with a shrug. "My mum wants me to be more involved in the family business. Step-dad doesn't care. Dad thinks I should do what I love. And my aunt has promised that if I ever want we can open another bakery together and she'll hand it over to me."
"What do you want to do?" Mori asked gently. "What do you really want to do?"
"I love baking," Lucy said with another little shrug. "But it's not a respectable line of work, not according to my mother, she'd much prefer I ran a business or married someone else with affluent business ties."
