Mori considered that for a moment.
"You could do all three," he said. "Open your own bakery, run it yourself. Make an alliance with someone who can help." |
Lucy blinked at that, considering. "Huh," she said. "You're right. I could. That's a good idea." She grinned at him.
Mori just smiled a bit at her.
"I'm glad I could help," he said. |
Still pleased with that solution, Lucy settled in there again for a while. She'd have to ask his opinion more often.
Mori just let her settle against him, enjoying being outside with her. It was much quieter than inside the lodge, and he definitely appreciated both the quiet and the company.
Finally, after a little while, Lucy regretfully stood up straight again.
"We should probably head back, you've been away for a while and I'm sure you have other things to get to." |
Mori wanted to say he didn't, but he was sure he had some clients waiting by now. So he nodded and let her go.
"Come on, then," he said, offering his arm. |
Lucy took his arm again, smiling and letting him help her a little more than she strictly needed on her way down again. Hey, she didn't mind now, and he was a big strong handsome guy, he could handle it.
Mori noticed and didn't comment. He definitely didn't mind that she was holding on a little more. Once they finally got inside again, he reluctantly let her go.
"I'll see you inside then later on?" Lucy said, looking at him.
"Of course," Mori said, nodding. "At dinner, definitely."
Lucy grinned and nodded. "See you later, then," she said, heading off to go find other ways to entertain herself for a while.
Mori watched her go, and then went to find Honey. Time for them to get back to work.
That night, the twins claimed spots on either side of Liz for dinner. Lucy just hid her smile behind her hand when she saw that, following the twins into the dining room.
Liz was a bit surprised to find herself between the twins.
"What's this?" she asked. "Not sitting together?" |
"We are sitting together," the twins chorused. "We're also sitting with you." They grinned.
Liz grinned.
"Well, I never thought I would come between two brothers as close as you are," she said teasingly. "Not like this." |
They grinned. "Well, it's not a problem for us," they said.
"You look like you're doing fine where you are." Hikaru grinned. |
"How many others have you let sit between you?" Liz asked as she settled in there.
"Not many," they admitted. Haruhi had at one point, but they could still count everyone who had on one hand.
"Well, then, I feel very special indeed," Liz said, smiling at them both.
They both grinned at her, settling in as dinner was served again; another traditional rustic dinner.
Liz made a mental note to find the recipe and give it to her chef at home. The meal really was very good, and she enjoyed it a lot. Of course, it did help that she had the twins on either side of her, cracking jokes and generally just making her laugh.
After dinner Lucy went off to see if she could get a copy of the recipe, while Hikaru and Kaoru kept Liz entertained.
"You know, I bet you three would look cute, if we got you all the same outfits in different colors," Kaoru said, looking at Liz speculatively. |
"Us three who?" Liz asked. "Lucy and I and who else? And why would we match, isn't that your thing?"
