Lillian Crina Ross

Alias: Her father called her Lilly since that's what both of her names come down to. Her SHEILD code name is Caster.

Age: 27

Ethnicity: Romanian on her mother’s side

Hair Color: Brown with auburn highlights.

Eye Color: Gray blue

Height: 5'6"

Weight:127 lbs

Family: Only child. Parents divorced

Current Location: Portland, Oregon- or wherever shield has her living.

Weapon: One very old red wood blasting rod, and sometimes other wooded objects.

Qualities/Abilities:
• Energy Blasts: this is normally done with a wooden like conductor to ensure accuracy. Though she has had a blasting rod for this purpose she had been forced to use other unconventional object. Her favorite one was a hockey stick.
• Spell Casting: Spells are a series of words that, when said correctly in a certain order, alter the fabric of reality to varying extents.
• Force-Field Generation
• Healing: of minor sickness and wounds. Can not heal someone's severed arm but does know a great potion for blood rejuvenation.
• Creation: Create anything and everything from nothing. This is limited to smaller object or simply restructuring something molecules. Think water to wine ((Super sorry if the reference offense you when referring to magic.))
• Telekinesis
• Illusion: The power to create illusions. Depending on how much energy she puts into it depends on how much of an effect her illusions can have on the physical world.
• Scrying: a magic practice that involves seeing things psychically in a medium it is also used for tracking other magical signals
• Magic users essentially have unlimited possibilities for how they use their power, with only their skill, personal power-level, imagination/knowledge, and/or morality to define the borders. So she is always training to master new forms of magic.

Bio: She was born in Oregon and though both of her parents no longer reside in the state she decided to set up shop in her home state. Lillian runs a small Magical book store in Portland. The kind of place that caters to actual practices, teens going through their dark phases, and those of the Pagan religion but really had no magical talents to speak of.

She also hired out her particular set of skills as a sort of psychic detective. This was how she got noticed by SHEILD and hired as their consultant. Even though most of the stuff Fury has her do goes way above what her contracted stated. While she still owns her shop one- her only- most trusted employee pretty much runs it while she is away on SHIELD business. Which is way more often then she would have thought but the money keeps her power on and the shop in her name so she can't complain.

Claire Tomoyo Itsuzuki

Alias: She prefers to be called Claire, although if you really want to piss her off call her Momo. Her S.H.I.E.L.D. codename is Lightning.

Age: 24

Ethnicity: French on her mother's side, Japanese on her father's.

Hair Color: Light Brown

Eye Color: Pale Grey

Height: 5'4"

Weight:120 lbs

Family: Younger sister living in Japan with her father. Mother is deceased.

Current Location: She has an apartment registered in her name in New York but she's rarely ever there. She can more often than not be found wherever S.H.I.E.L.D. is operating.

Weapon: A traditional katana

Qualities/Abilities:
Claire is almost inhumanely fast, and her skills with her katana are unrivaled. Her swift movements cause friction in the air that produce lightning; she has trained herself over the years to be able to direct this lightning, either to concentrate it on her weapon as she delivers a strike , or to flick lightning at her enemies. Her skills rely heavily on her speed and agility; she could technically use any weapon as a medium for the lightning. While it is theorized she could produce the lightning without a weapon, she would rather not risk harming herself in trying. She is also highly proficient in several forms of martial arts.

Bio: Claire was mostly born and raised in Japan. Her mother thought it would be more beneficial for Claire to study abroad, so she was sent to live with her uncle to New York, where she excelled in her classes as well as took martial arts in her uncle's dojo, focusing mostly on Karate and, later, Kendo. It wasn't until Claire was nearly in her teens that she discovered her ability to generate lightning, while practicing alone in the dojo. She consequently set the place ablaze and barely escaped with her life.

Scared and upset, S.H.I.E.L.D. would eventually come into her life and save her from the prying eyes and angry people who were afraid of what she could do. She was trained under the watchful eye of other agents, and has come to respect and control her powers. She is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent to her very core, and rarely devotes her time to anything else.

((I might need to tweek this, I just realized that lightning abilities may not be the most original =____________________=))

Ever_After 08-14-2013 02:36 PM

((No the way you go about the powers is original. Keep it. All superpowers are just rehashes of other heroes anyway. So I'm going to do early Thanos. The one in love with Mistress Death that wanted the Cube to destroy everything to gain her attention.))

Thick white powder floated down from the ceiling fading away into air before the magicked snow melted on to any of the furniture in the one bedroom loft. It was one week until December and Lillian was determined to get her apartment decorated before SHIELD called her off to some remote part of the world where a grandma was trying to raise the dead- or whatever they had the oddest missions for her sometime.

Soft Christmas music played out of her speakers as she sat on the floor in her tank to and fuzzy pajama pants with the dancing penguins on it. It had taken one hour and she still hadn't completely untangled the strand of lights and she was oh so very close to saying screw it and using magic. I was hard since she kept glancing at her phone every ten minutes. Though she didn't posses precognition abilities there was something alive in the air. Something that left goosebumps on her skin and the taste of foreign magic in her mouth.

Dropping to her back she tossed the knotted sting of white fairy lights off her lap and started at the falling snow. This last year and a half with SHIELD had made her paranoid. There was always a magical spike around the holidays.
"urgh. Screw the lights. I'll work on the village next."

Her only response was mew from her orange main coon as he sat on the kitchen island.
-----------

Space was vast and empty and that feeling like you were floating was more like you were falling. It was the nothingness of space that bothered him the most. He was nothing here something no bigger then a speck. It was enough to drive anyone to madness, it had driven him to madness.By this point in time he knew himself to be dreaming or well he was hopeful that is was a dream. There were times that he would dream of his time in space and fear that his time awake was the real dream. Feared he was still floating in nothingness.

'No matter where you go he will find you. And you will know true pain.' The voice hissed and cut through the nothingness leaving searing pain in his head.

Green eyes shot open and never before had Loki been more comforted by the sight of the ceiling of his boyhood room. He could feel his heart trying to tear it's way out of his chest but the pain in his head numbed him to most other feeling. "Thanos."

------------
((So I'm going to leave it here and let you introduce some characters. Also I had real life stuff yesterday so sorry I wasn't on.))

InfiniteEvil 08-15-2013 12:44 AM

((whoo I'm glad you like her ^.^ I thought about it after I wrote it all and was like "oh wait Thor" but I guess I just have an affinity for lightning weilders XD Also that works for me I actually liked Thanos back then. And shweeeet. No need to apologize, I totally understand real life happens XD))

Claire found herself sitting at a park with her hands in her lap, focused on places far away. It was the last week of November, the last week to send anything to her family if she had plans to. Usually she sent a few cards, maybe some candy, but this year it felt.... inadequate. She'd sat in her apartment, one of the few times she had ever been there, and stared at the nearly empty walls, trying to remember what her parents had liked. It had been so long since she was a child in Japan. The frustration of being unable to remember sent her on a walk to the nearest park, where she tried to clear her head.

Holiday seasons had always been tough for her. Her friends all resided within S.H.I.E.L.D. and usually around this time they were with their families; she felt wrong bothering them during their golden time to be with their loved ones. Being an agent was tough on people with families, she knew; it was almost tough on her and all she had to worry about was herself. After her uncle died, she really had no one to celebrate the holidays with.

She felt her phone buzz in her pocket, and fished the object out. She loathed pulling her gloves off, but did so anyway, deftly touching the screen of the phone. A text from Tony Stark, about some party he was holding, S.H.I.E.L.D. members were invited, held at the Avengers tower, so on and so forth. He'd probably sent it out as a mass text to all the numbers in the directory; Nick Fury apparently hated it when Tony did that, but who was going to stop Tony Stark? She slid the phone back into her pocket, pondering the offer; well, she was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and it would be nice to spend the holiday with others. The date was set for Christmas Eve.

-----------

"Jarvis, can you tell me where I put the lights last year? Also, those trees we got from that company last year were pretty dead looking, I think we need new trees."

Tony Stark stared out at the "ballroom," ideas flitting through his head. He rubbed at his chin as he tried to figure out how he wanted to decorate. "Jarvis, maybe we should do something more practical this year," Tony said, descending the steps. "I mean, what if something else decides to attack the tower? I'd be pissed if I paid for all those trees and they went up in flames."

"You proposed the same idea last year, sir," Jarvis reminded him, a small hologram popping up next to Tony's shoulder.

"Yeah, well maybe we should actually do it this year," Tony said, shrugging. He hit the bottom step and crossed his arms again, rubbing at his chin. "I feel like something bad might happen this year," she mused, more to himself than anything. "Did the invitations get sent out, Jarvis," he asked, looking at the hologram. It bobbed in response.

"Yes sir, it took me abit to get the numbers however. I believe Mr. Fury put up new firewalls to keep you out." Tony smirked, shaking his head.

"He just needs to learn to lighten up is all," Tony said easily. "Maybe we should get him a new eye patch this year, something festive. Will you look for something, Jarvis?"

"On it, sir."

Tony nodded, pleased. "Thank you Jarvis. Now, where is Pepper?"

--------

Thor stared out through the window of his room, studying the serene landscape. He wondered what his comrades on Midgar were up to; it was near the Midgardian holiday season, if his memory served him right. Maybe he would pay a visit this year, although his own people were preparing for the Yule celebrations. He figured he could miss out on the annual bilgesnipe tourney, where young Asgardians fought a bilgesnipe to prove their worth, to visit his friends.

"Thor, something is wrong with Loki."

Thor glanced over his shoulder, then turned and opened his arms, allowing his mother to come into them. She hugged him tightly, then took a step back and looked up at him. "Your brother has been acting strangely. He seemed so pale when i saw him earlier, but he's brushing off my questions. Will you check on him?" Thor hesitated; he still wasn't on great terms with his brother, although he was trying. The events that had taken place on Midgar were almost unforgiveable, although he knew his brother was not to blame, at least not completely. He sighed, then nodded, Frigga's face lighting up.

"Of course, mother." He turned and headed out of the hall, up the stairs that led to their chambers. He stopped at Loki's door, lifting one fist to knock. "Brother, are you awake," he asked in his deep, rumbling voice.

((Blargh, I feel like I wrote a lot @[email protected] I thought a holiday party would be a good idea, seeing as it is Tony, and it would get all of our characters in one place.))

Ever_After 08-15-2013 03:48 AM

(( I like long post and Tony would be the type.))

The sound echoed in his room like thunder. A fitting metaphor considering who was at his door calling for him. The big oaf had no consideration for what time of night it was. He could be sleeping. He should be sleeping. Nightmares where the things of children and lesser beings.

Muscles eased and tightened as the once great threat to Earth shifted to sit up in bed. Black strands of hair shifted in to his vision- he would need to trim it soon- and stuck to the sweat that had built on his forehead. With long pale fingers Loki smoothed them back into place.

His relationship with Thor did not go back to the one of brotherly tolerance they had had before Thor's banishment. Despite what he knew his mother wanted it would never be how it was when they were children.

Clearing his throat to rid it of any sign that he had just awoken with the pain of a promise yet fulfilled he answer. " I am."

-----

Holiday music was playing softly from the radio while heels clicked against the floor as the red haired CEO paced back and forth in the modern kitchen. She was wrapping up thee last minute details, apparently the house in Miami would be finished soon and they could return home, while trying out a new recipe for apple pie. Though he hadn't said anything Pepper had seen the look Steve had given the last store bought pie she had gotten for dinner. Now she was trying to add baker to her already long list of jobs.

There had been at least two major meetings and a conference call with the branches in Miami and Washington. Her and Tony would be staying in the big apple for at least another eight months and the top penthouse had started to feel a little more like home.

Now however instead of it being a busty blond- though those days where far far behind her boyfriend- or remote controlled suit wandering around the place it was SHIELD agents.Mostly Steve, sometimes Clint and Natasha would stop by, Bruce would come to visit but never stayed to long.

A buzz to her hand drew her attention away from thoughts of friends and back to the present. Typing away a reply she pulled up a chart of this years fiscal numbers.

Scrolling through the number she let herself relax against the kitchen counter. Replaying again when the head of financing in Washington responded to her email. Ending the message with the hope that she'd see him at the annual Christmas party she tucked the blackberry into the pocket of her pants. When this was done she'd need to change out of work clothes.

------

The airport was as busy as one would expect for this time of year.Sitting in the last row in a seat tucked into a corner Bruce watched a little boy and his sister coloring on the floor of the terminal. Their parents seemed to be occupied with other things. The mother chatting loudly on the phone and the farther dozing off. Normally he tried to avoid the airport around this time of year

He was waiting for Tony's personal pilot, arrangements had been made for him to spend the month at Stark Tower in New York. Maybe more if Tony was in the middle of something interesting. They all did this every year for Tony's -and it really was Tony's Pepper had told them that he had planned the whole thing with only minor vetoes from her- Christmas Charity Ball that Stark industries hosted. Really it was more of a time for them to gather as a, well, team out side of a world crisis.

" Dr. Banner."

Adjusting his glasses the physicist looked up into the smiling face of one of Stark's flight attendants. Really how he found these women Bruce would never truly know. " Let me just get your bags and you can follow me."
"oh I can...get my bags or well bag actually. No problem" Standing he lifted the strap of his single duffel bag, one didn't need to carry much while in the jungles of Africa. Anything of his that resembled personal items was kept at a room in Stark Tower. That he had been using more and more as the years went on. He had even let Tony saddle him with a cell phone.

" Very well Dr. Banner. Right this way."

Making sure not to step on the children or there...was that suppose to be a drawing of the Hulk? He followed after the uniformed female. He had a bottle of Benadryl in his coat pocket that he planned on downing before the flight took off. Better safe then sorry.

-------
The air pounded with the sound of piano keys and drums as Dustin Kensrue sang out about bells and the coming holiday. Tiny white boxes floated through the air following the dark haired woman as she wove around boxes and furniture.

Most of the Christmas decor had a very clear and direct theme. Penguins.Penguins sledding, dancing, wearing Santa hats, you name it she had penguins doing it.

The village was the one thing that she had that wasn't solely about the cute little black and white arctic birds. it was a classic Christmas village that took hours to set up. Mostly because she enjoyed dancing around her apartment and singing while she worked.

The music faded as the sound of an incoming text cut through the apartment. trying not to trip over discarded boxes she popped her phone out of the radio adapter and opened the message. Christmas party at Stark Tower, AKA Avengers Tower. huh sounded interesting though she wasn't sure how he had gotten her number.

She had worked with a few SHIELD agents before, normally a rotation of the same six, but had yet to meet any of the famous super hero group. They hadn't dealt with anything that would require her expertise since the whole War of the Worlds: New York edition had taken place. Mainly she nipped things in the magical butt before they got Avenger size.

"What do you think Hollow? Should I go?" Hallow gave her the bored look that only cats had mastered and batted at the phone hanging in his face. She figured that was a yes.Plus last she heard her mother was living in New York and it would be nice to see her around the holidays.

InfiniteEvil 08-15-2013 05:39 AM

((Long posts make me so happy :D))

Thor took Loki's verbal acknowledgement as an invitation to come in, pushing the door open. It had always been so when they were children, and some old habits die hard. The lightning god stoof in the doorway for a moment, staring at the man across the room. Things had changed between them ever since the battle on Midgar.

"Mother has expressed concern about you, brother," he stated, making it clear that he came because Frigga was concerned, and for no other reason. He still cared for Loki, but at this point he couldn't let his emotions cloud his judgement. "Are you feeling well? Has something happened to make you sick?" The question underneath his words was clear- do we need to worry about another incident with you, brother?

--------------------

"Sir, I believe Miss Potts is in the kitchen," Jarvis hummed, as Tony made another mental note about interior decorating. Tony paused, then turned to face Jarvis.

"In the kitchen," he said, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, this I need to see." He walked out of the ballroom with Jarvis at his heels, then made his way to the kitchen. It was a large, spacious environment, much like the rest of the tower. It was stocked with state of the line cutlery and equipment, in essence any chef's wet dream. Not to say that Tony ever used it, because he didn't; it was more for the events that were hosted in the tower, a place for whatever catering service to set up base.

"Isn't this the picture of domestic bliss," he said, grinning when he spotted Pepper busily working at something, holiday music drifting through the air. "I could get used to this." He slid his arms under Peppers and hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder as he watched her work. "Although, I'm not sure why you're doing this. You didn't like anything in the fridge?" As a general rule, Tony kept the fridge well stocked with easy to make meals. It had worked well when he had been a bachelor, and seemed to work doubly well what with all of their busy superhero shenanigans.

----------------------

That particular day found Natasha in one of the communal rooms of the tower. She'd made a habit of calling the tower home station- it was as convenient as any, she was nearby if something came up. She heard her phone buzz, but didn't bother to check it; she'd overheard Tony talking about sending out invitations for some holiday party he was hosting. Natasha was only slightly interested; it gave her the chance to catch up with some colleagues who had been on missions around the world, although that was the only bonus that came with the party. Knowing Tony, it would be something completely over-the-top, as was his style.

She flipped through the pages of the magazine she was reading, feeling slightly restless. It had been really quiet lately; Fury had only been sending junior members on missions that seemed like milk runs. It wasn't that she doubted Nick Fury's judgement of situations, she believed him when he told her nothing big was happening- but that was what worried her. Nothing big had happened yet, but she could feel something brewing, something in the air that screamed of trouble on the horizon.

-----------------------

Thump! Thump!

Steve reached out and steadied his punching bag, his breathing heavy. He pushed his hair back off of his forehead, making a mental note that he needed a haircut. He still spent a lot of time down here in the gym, even though he was constantly being urged to participatein the outside world. It just wasn't his thing- the modern world was still strange to him, even after a few years. Tony was the worst, constantly making him go to this or that charity event with him.

A loud, metallic buzz made him jump; he looked over his shoulder at the chair behind him, where the cell phone he'd been given buzzed loudly. He sighed and let go of the punching bag, brushing his hair out of his eyes again as he crossed the room. He knelt in front of the chair and picked the device up, fumbling with it for a moment before he accessed the message.

"Mr. Rogers? Mr. Stark asked me to remind you that you're accompanying the chauffer to pick up Mr. Banner in an hours's time."

"Right, thanks Jarvis. I'll go get cleaned up." Jarvis was strangely comforting to Steve; odd, but comforting. He shoved the phone into his pocket and headed for the door, nudging the punching bag as he walked by one last time and leaving it swinging.

------------------

Claire got up and started down the sidewalk, shoving her hands into her pockets. Nearby, children skated around in a skating rink set up by the city; their laughter filtered through the chilly air, loud and joyous. It was a nice, bright day, the sun shining down and adding warmth to the chilly November air, but Claire couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. She couldn't explain what was wrong, just that it was. Maybe she'd check in with Mr. Fury, see if anything had come up on the radar. She could use a distraction from... well, whatever was on her mind.

Ever_After 08-18-2013 04:21 AM

It was still only five in Miami so the rush of emails for that branch had been expected and over the months she had gotten use to it. Placing the phone down next to a mixing bowl that held the residue of mashed cinnamon apples. The place was kind of a mess and she wouldn't be surprised if she had gotten flour in her hair.

" I wouldn't call it domestic." Though standing in the kitchen with his arms wrapped around her it felt pretty hallmark movie. Turning to face him she ran her hand along his arms till they rested on his shoulders. It was a habit of hers to just touch him sometimes. Physically remind her that he was there.

"I'm making an apple pie. For Steve." Her phone buzzed on the counter, it could wait a few minutes, " He looked so disappointed with last years store bought one."

----------------

Thor's subtlety was as lacking as ever.He might as well have told him what he truly wanted to ask.
" Your concern is touching, Brother." The word held an acid taste in his mouth. However that taste could also be linked to the pain searing it's way across his brain. "But misplaced." It was the closest Thor would get to reassurance out of him.

Teeth clenched behind a blank face. He had gotten even better at hiding his emotions thanks to his time in solitaire. On the out side he was passive the same bored expression he used around the golden son. But muscles were tightening trying to relieve some of the pain dancing along his skull.

" Tell Mother I am fine."

Frigga the thought of the woman in gold you raised soothed some of the pain. Her concern would of course be genuine. She had forgiven him so easily.

------
Tony had this wonderful way of sending a text right when they were in the middle of some shit.

Their current brand of shit had Clint perched on the edge of a building arrow at the ready and watching Natasha's every move. He couldn't understand how she loved the spy shit so much....and if the target didn't get his hands off her ass he might just get an arrow in the eye.

Then tasha would kill him, slowly and creatively. For either being too protective or for botching up the mission. Probably the second one.

But back to Tony and his shit timing. the buzz inside his boot told him he got a text. Since Tony,Steve and Bruce were the only ones outside of SHIELD he talked to it was process of elimination. Bruce was still in some third world country and Steve didn't really trust cell phones all that much.

So it had to be Stark. He was kind of itching to see what his partner in crime had sent. The genius never failed to amuses and since their last conversation was creative ways to piss off Fury...

(( I have this deep love for the idea of Tony and Clint being buddies. sorry))

InfiniteEvil 08-19-2013 06:40 PM

Tony smiled down at her, his eyes roaming over her face. The way he felt about Pepper was probably one of the best things about him, in his opinion- sure, he was amazing, but he couldn't function without his leading lady. It had taken almost loosing her to teach him that.

He made a sound in the back of his throat that indicated offense when Pepper mentioned Steve and the pie. "Yes, I remember," he said, rolling his eyes in his ever-dramatic way. "That hurt, that was really expensive store-bought pie." He leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek, patting her shoulder gently. "But I'm sure your pie will be enough to satisfy even the king of pie critics. Also, your phone is ringing." He had elected to ignore the ringing of her phone for a few minutes, but he knew her work was important. He let her go and wandered the kitchen, finally settling against the counter top next to her. He crossed his arms over his chest, staring up at the ceiling for a moment.

"You know, we could just cancel the party," he mused after a moment. "Take a nice vacation, just us, go to the Caribbean or something." He paused again, then shook his head. "Nah, maybe not this year. Hey, what do you think, should we go with a different tree supplier this year?" He reached down and pulled his phone out as he spoke, wondering where everyone else had gone to. Steve was probably getting ready to pick up Bruce, Natasha was doing... well, whatever Natasha did. He pulled up Clint's number, shooting him a quick message.

How's spying on your girlfriend? If it's boring I can always come blow something up.

---------------

Natasha smiled up at the man she was currently trying to seduce information out of, feeling gross as he slid his hands down her back. Greasy scumball. She leaned back away from him a bit, his breath already reaking of alcohol. Either someone had been hitting the bottle early, or they used way too much mouthwash. "I'm curious to know more about your work," she said, putting on the doe-eyed, innocent little lady show. Naturally the man was a sucker for it, and babbled on about top-secret research and hinted too heavily at having tons of money (which she doubted he really had, considering the cheap fit of his buttoned shirt.) It was all stuff she had heard before, making her frustrated. Fury had asked her to get some information so he could set some of the other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents up for a raid mission, and while she had probably gotten enough information to get them going she wanted to make sure she got as much as she could to help them.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Clint moving around- was he checking his phone? If she wasn't better trained, she would have stared in disbelief, but isntead she shifted her eyes back to the man in front of her. Clint was her back-up, in case things went south, more of a precaution than anything. She wouldn't have brought him, but Fury had ordered her to bring help, so naturally she chose Clint. He was the only other person subtle enough to get the job done. But on his phone, really? Knowing him, it was probably Stark, which meant she'd eviscerate both of them if this went sour and Clint was preoccupied with playing with his phone.

"I have to use the little girls room," she said, when she'd figured she gotten enough information from him. "But when I come back, maybe we can get to know each other a little better." She turned on her heel and headed to the bathroom, then changed directions and slipped out of the building. She decided it was time to play a little game- she crossed the street quickly, using the people around her as cover, then went around the side of the building where he was least likely to see her. She slid her shoes off and stuck them in her purse, then hid them somewhere where she could come back for them. Backing up, she eyed the fire escape, then ran and leapt, grabbing the bottom rung of the ladder and pulling herself up. It was a quick, silent trip up, and she found herself on the roof within the blink of an eye.

She crept up behind him on the balls of her feet, her steps virtually silent under the din of the city around him. She stepped over him, then dropped to one knee, leaning forward so that her lips were at his ear. "Are you really on your phone right now," she murmured, in a sticky sweet voice.

-----------------

Thor watched Loki as he spoke, feeling real concern. Loki was very good at hiding things- he was clever, too clever- but Thor knew he must be suffering somehow. The solitude was bad for the soul, and Loki had suffered much of it, even now that he was returned to Asgard. He refused to believe that his brother's soul had been lost, no matter what Thanos had done to him. "Brother," he began, then stopped, unsure of how to proceed. He was not good with words- that was Loki's domain. He could fight his way through any battle, bolster people's feelings and motivation, but he did not know how to soothe hurts. Especially not ones so monumental. His brow furrowed slightly, before he sighed and nodded.

"You still have liscence to roam parts of the castle," he reminded his brother, turning to leave. "You may do well to use them more often. Mother would be glad to see you doing so." With that, he left, deeply troubled.

Asgard had no means for dealing with the emotionally and mentally wounded. They were the warrior type, fighting their way through life. Small hurts could be tended, but the bigger ones, the ones Loki had heaped upon him, were beyond comprehension, and it bothered Thor. He knew Midgar was different- maybe he'd take his brother there, to find him help. Surely his friends could do something, even if Loki had nearly destroyed their city a few years back and probably wouldn't be a welcome sight. If Thor asked, showed them that Loki had changed, and promised to keep a tight control over his brothers actions, maybe they would help him. The spider one, Natasha, was as clever as Loki, maybe she could talk to him.

((My head cannon is they'd either hate each other or be best friends and I always flip-flop between the two, but I think them being friends fits here XD Also I have this raging urge for Thor to just be ridiculously concerned and pick Loki up and ask him what's wrong and not put him down until he talked XD which would be never though so we'd be stuck there for a while.))

Ever_After 09-01-2013 03:31 PM

(( sorry it took so long and a warning that for the next week there may be time gaps in my posting. A friend got kicked out of her apt and is coming to live with me. So I've been busy moving everything around and working extra hours to make up for the time I have to take off to go get her. I am so sorry.))

Fingers flew across the key board, 1 missed call. Leaning over she gave tony a brief kiss on the scruff of his check and stepped away to call the head of public relations back. Covering the phone she looked over her shoulder before exiting the kitchen entirely. " Can you check on the pie for me and take it out when it's done. This shouldn't take to long."

Taking two more steps she stopped again, "And it's too late to cancel the party but going with synthetic tress would be more reasonable. Maybe next year will go on...Oh no not you David. Yes sorry I missed the cal...."

The sounds of heels clicking across the hard floor faded out as Pepper made her way back to their room to change. This should be the last call of the night.Unless of course something exploded.

Green eyes watched Thor retreat from his room. The pain was easing and tension in his body fading to it's normal levels. The darkness that had at one point seemed alive was no more then empty shadows now. He would dress and he would go see his mother. If for no other reason then to prove Thor's concern misplaced.

He didn't doubt that Thanos would find him but time was a relative concept for people with lives as long as theirs. He could have centuries before he was ripped from his life, he would spend them as he saw fit.

The halls of his home were just as he left them. Glowing with a golden light that he never felt really touched him.It had been some time since he had been made aware of why that was.

Loki would admit- in only the deepest reaches of his mind- that it felt nice breathing in Asgard air once more.

There are these moments in his life where Clint knew just knew he had made the wrong decision. They were few to be honest but when the voice of Natasha Romanova sounded from above him the archer got the dropping feeling in his stomach.

He had only checked the text because His phone kept buzzing in his shoe and it was getting distraction. " It's Tony. He was checking to see if we needed back up"
Turning his his face he stared up at her. They had been partners for years and still it felt off seeing her in something that wasn't her normal suit.
"Shouldn't you be down there getting groped and getting inlet? Or did you come to check on me. Stuck on this cold dark roof?"

Steve had accused him of spending to much time with Stark in the last couple of years. And though the super soldier was probably right he enjoyed Tony's sense of humor. When it came to the actual mission- not this busy work that Fury had sent them one- he did his job with the same stoic focused mind as always. This. This was just boring.

After a few hours everything was done and it looked like Christmas had thrown up in her apartment. She would need to go relieve Mathew for the day soon. That boy could only work so many hours and he wasn't well versed enough to help anyone beyond the random teen or drabber.

Changing out of her lay around the house clothes she pulled on a simple knee length black dress with light gray tights, because oh wow it really was snowing outside. Surprise! Not. So boots it was for the day. She had spent last year slipping one to many times to try flats.

She had been lucky when the retail space under her apartment had gone up for rent. With a down payment- thank you SHIELD- she had moved her store from across town to two floors below her. Though she got some grief from other residents the shop was pretty much left alone.

Fake ice fogged up the edges of the one large window proudly proclaiming the shops name. 'A Touch of Magick.' It was gimmicky and really that what she had been going for. It was easier for those coming to her for advice when the realm of 'reality' had left them if it seemed like something they could brush off. The people she mainly catered to either had magic in their blood or were so frightened by the thought of something they couldn't understand happening in their lives that they needed a softened blow.

On the inside large dark wood selves lined the walls containing lotions and crystals , artifacts that she had collected on her travels. The back all was filled with Herbs. the middle of the shop was a maze of shelves holding books of all kinds. New with glossy pages and some picture of a person flying a broom or other such thing. And old with cracked leather binding and written in tongues most people had given up on.

It also smelt of Dragons Breath incenses and holly. Good he had finished hanging the mistletoe. It really did feel like coming home to her, consulting had taken her way far more then she was use too.

"Lillian."
