"Ah. I wish I had a sister..." she muttered softly.
" I'm sorry. To me you are like a sister. " Andrea said since it was the truth. She wanted Leana to feel accepted and knew they would continue to be friends.
Leana blushed lightly. "Thanks..." she muttered.
" Leana I know we have a few hours between breakfast and the time we need to go. Could we train a little bit?" Andrea asked still wanting to be useful as a fighter. Her dad had been a good fighter and so had her mom, and as a teen Andrea wanted to be like them, but in her own way.
(Sorry about the late post, I only got 1 hour of sleep last night due to my neighbor's dog.)
"I don't see why not," Leana said after getting off the floor. "Though I'm not sure this room would be a great place to start training in," she added. She could tell just by how Andrea held herself that she wasn't a fighter: not like her, Tony or any of the other Avengers, but she could also tell that the girl wanted to try. |
( I understand.)
" Maybe we can ask after breakfast if there is a training room we can use?" Andrea suggested. She really wanted to be fighter even if that wasn't what she was good at. |
(Thanks)
"Sounds like a date," Leana replied teasingly, laughing lightly at Andrea's crimson face. "Oh come on Andrea, I'm only teasing," she said after she got control of herself. She was glad that her friend wanted to improve herself all the same. |
" I knew that. Trust me when I say it's been almost 2 years since I heard that phrase." Andrea said feeling a little embarrassed. She wanted to take a break from dating and hoped that someday she would find the right one for her.
"Sure, whatever you say," Leana said with a light grin. "Two years? May I ask what happened?" she asked.
" He just was a jerk. Wanted me to abandon my grandparents and join him and his friends. I hated his friends. I think he just dated me because I was a bartender in college." Andrea said .
Leana just shook her head at that. "That sucks. He just dated you to get free drinks," she said before hearing a knock on the door.
" Who's there?" Andrea asked and finished putting her hair in a ponytail. " He did. And the one guy I thought might date me turned out to like guys instead. " Andrea added.
"Ouch. I don't blame you for staying away from dating people," Leana said as she also heard the knock on the door.
"It's Steve. I just wanted to make sure you ladies were up," he said. |
" We're up. We'll be out in a little bit. " Andrea said. " Are we ready to go?" She asked Leana.
"Yeah, I'm ready," Leana said as she finished getting dressed, putting her hair up in a simple ponytail.
"Is everything alright ?" Andrea asked Steve. He seemed focused on something and she was concerned that something had happened.
"Everything is fine, I just got some surprising news is all," Steve replied. He had heard Phillip Coulson's voice saying that Peggy was safe.
Andrea nodded having a feeling it wasn't any of her business.
"Anyways, why don't we have breakfast?" Steve asked. He would explain what he heard to the girls on the way there what he had overheard.
" Sounds good to me. What do you say Leana?" Andrea asked with a smile. She wanted to be able to prove to others she could be a fighter , even if it wasn't what she was good at.
"Sounds good to me. And then afterwards, we'll try finding an empty space so that I can teach you the basics, if you still want to learn that is," Leana said.
" Of course I do." Andrea said with a smile.
"Good," Leana said with a smirk.
" So what sort of things will you show me?" Andrea asked. She knew the basics but knew there was more to the basics than she had learned.
"Well first I need to see what you know. After that, we can move from there," Leana replied before her stomach growled lightly. "But first...breakfast," she said with an embarrassed grin.
