Gaara didn't know why she was crying, especially when she was hugging him, but he wasn't going to worry about it for right now. He was just glad that she was happy...or at least that was what he assumed. "Thanks," he said softly, glad that she was willing to keep it a secret.

"At least not yet," he said before chuckling lightly at the image Naruto was portraying. "But if that's what you want Kit, I'll call her your girlfriend. And while what I said is still true, she is curious about the sexy technique you created. Half of it from her own natural curiosity and half of it from Nibi-chan," he added.

Gemini sniffled and pulled back, beaming at him. "We should probably go...it's getting late, and I want to make sure Temari-san is okay with this before she falls asleep." She said.

Naruto cleared his throat again, deciding to ignore the fox for the time being. The conversation was only making him more uncomfortable. "Ah...Kitty-chan, it's getting late. Let's go back to my place and get some rest."

"You're probably right," he said with a light grin on his face. Heading into the hotel, he came up to their room and his sister's room that was adjacent from their's. Knocking on it softly, "Nee-chan?" he asked softly, not wanting to wake her up if she had already fallen asleep.

"Good idea," Yugito responded as she tuned out her tenant, just knowing that she was having way too much fun with this whole situation. "Perhaps then you can show me this jutsu that convinced the old pervert to train us?" she asked, not letting the subject go. She really wanted to see it after all.

Gemini trailed behind him quietly. Despite his promise, she still did her best to make herself small and unnoticeable. She was relieved when they finally got to the rooms where the siblings were staying. She just hoped Temari was awake, or she would end up having to sleep in Gaara's room. The thought made her blush for reasons she couldn't fully understand.

Naruto nearly choked. He had hoped that she would forget, but clearly that was a fruitless hope. "Oh, fine! B-but don't laugh, and remember that I didn't want to show you, 'tebayo!" He announced, turning to lead her back to his apartment.

"Brother?" Temari asked as she opened up the door, her nightgown covering her body as she did so. "What's wrong?" she asked, wondering if something happened. Once being explained the situation, Temari smiled lightly. "Of course you can sleep here tonight Gem-chan, and as long as you want," she said while having a smile on her face. How could she turn away the vixen?

"I'll remember," she said before starting to follow him back to his apartment. Though could she consider it 'their' apartment at the moment? Shaking her head lightly to get rid of those thoughts, she had no idea what exactly was going on with herself. She only liked Naruto as a friend.

Relief. It was pure relief that washed over the young fox when the wind mistress welcomed her. As long as you want. The words resounded in her mind, a promise for something better. "Th-thank you, Temari-san. I don't know how, but I'll find a way to replay you for this." She said happily. It was only then, with her anxiety forgotten, that she realized just how tired she was.

Though his apartment was halfway across the village from the hot springs, the trip there seemed to take only minutes. As he unlocked and opened the door, and held it for her to go in ahead of him, Naruto wondered where the time went. Once inside, the blonde flicked on the lights and removed his shoes, sighing with relief at the comfort of home. "Do you want anything to eat?" He asked, heading into the kitchen for some water.

"It's not a problem Gem-chan," Temari responded as she noticed how tired the female fox was. In fact, she didn't mind helping her, especially since she was helping Gaara so much, even if she didn't realize it. With that, she would help Gemini in any way possible.

Yugito had followed Naruto to his apartment and walked inside, thanking him for holding the door open for her, even though he didn't have to. "Yes, please," Yugito responded as her stomach growled in hunger.

Gemini smiled and stifled a yawn. Turning to Gaara, she gave him one of her all-too-rare real smiles, not fake or part of a mask like usual. "Good night, Gaara-san. Would you mind training with me in the morning?" She asked.

Naruto chuckled at the sound of her stomach growling and got out some bread and a can of tuna he had been saving. "I don't usually eat this stuff. Kakashi-sensei bought it for me. I guess he was trying to help, but I don't really like tuna. I guess it's a good thing I kept it, though, huh?" He said conversationally as he went about making her a tuna sandwich.

"Good night Gemini-chan, and I wouldn't mind at all. Have a good night," he said before closing the door behind him before heading into his own room.

Yugito blushed lightly in embarrassment as her stomach growled lightly before nodding as to answer his question. "Thanks," she said as he made the sandwich for her.

Gemini nodded and turned back to Temari, her convincing mask back in place. "I really am grateful for all your help, Temari-san. Should I set up on the floor over here?" She asked, fully expecting to sleep on the floor the whole time she stayed with them.

Naruto grinned. "No problem, Kitty-chan." He said, handing her the sandwich. He then put the fork and can opener in the sink to be washed later.

"You don't have to do that Gemini, there's a second bed," she said, surprised that she hadn't seen it when she walked in. Then again, it was late and she was probably very tired. Other than that, she couldn't think of a reason as to why it was missed.

"Thanks Foxy-kun,"she said before taking the plate that had the sandwich on it before sitting down at the table that he had in the apartment. Once she sat down, she quickly took a bite out of the sandwich.

Gemini blinked. "Oh...okay." She said. In reality, she hadn't missed the bed, but years of abuse and neglect had trained her to believe that she simply wouldn't be allowed to use it. She didn't say that, however, just simply went to the extra bed and collapsed on it. "Good night..." She muttered before falling asleep completely.

While Yugito made herself comfortable, Naruto got himself a glass of milk and went to sit across from her. "After this, I'm gonna make up the couch. You can sleep in my bed." He said.

"Night," Temari responded, wondering if it was because of how she was treated under that...person caused her to think that she wouldn't be allowed to use it. 'Gemini... she thought sadly. To think that someone could deal with that type of abuse for so long...no wonder her brother was drawn to her.

"Are you sure? I don't mind sleeping on the couch..." Yugito replied after taking another mite of her sandwich. She didn't want to cause any trouble for Naruto after all, especially since he had already done so much for her.

Naruto nodded. "I insist. What kind of host would I be if I let my guest sleep on the couch? No, you get the bed, dattebayo." He said firmly, making it clear that he wouldn't budge on the subject.

As Gemini slept, she suffered nightmares of her adoptive father. She was tiny and helpless, and he was a giant, beating her, yelling at her. Useless...ugly...dirty...weak...animal...stupid... The cruel words swirled around in her mind over and over. And she believed them. After all, why would a grown-up lie to her?

After a few seconds of silence, Yugito just sighed and nodded, somehow knowing that he wouldn't budge on the subject. "If you insist," she said.


Temari was about to fall asleep when she heard movement in the other bed, as well as a soft whimper coming from the other occupant. "Gemini?" the wind mistress asked softly as she moved to her bed, wondering what was going through her head. From the looks of it, it was a very bad nightmare....though she was unsure if she should wake her or not.

Naruto nodded. "Great. Now that that's settled, let's get some sleep. We have to be up early to meet Ero-Sannin tomorrow." He said, giving her his trademark thousand-watt smile. He put his glass in the sink and went to the small closet where he kept his extra blankets. Pulling them out proved to be difficult, and he ended up on the floor amidst a heap of blankets and pillows that had fallen on him. Cheeks pink with embarrassment, he gathered up the blankets and a pillow and tossed them on the couch, then stuffed the rest back into the closet.

Stupid little bitch....just die already...no one will ever love you...filthy half breed...never love you...never love you...neverloveyouneverloveyou NEVER LOVE YOU!! The words echoed, louder and louder, as her adoptive father rained blows down on her. She was bleeding, begging, dying...She woke with a strangled gasp, sitting bolt upright in the bed. Looking around, it took her a moment to figure out where she was. Seeing Temari, she remembered, and stood up quickly. She wanted- needed- to cry, but refused to do so in front of the older woman. Ignoring the wind user's calls, she ran out of the room, knowing where she had to go. It didn't take long to find Gaara- he was always sitting on a rooftop. Standing behind him, Gemini gasped for breath, shaking violently. She opened her mouth to call his name, but only a strangled, pathetic whimper issued forth.

Yugito repressed a giggle as the avalanche of blankets and pillows fell upon her host. She had been ready to help him, but by the time she had gotten to his side, he had already pushed everything back into the closet. "um...Foxy-kun, you know that's just going to happen again when you reopen it, right?" Yugito asked as all she got in response was a light shrug. Knowing that they had an early morning, as Naruto had said, she decided not to mention the jutsu that he promised to show her...for now. She would, however, try getting him to show it to her after their training sometime tomorrow. Heading into Naruto's bedroom, she yawned lightly before getting ready for bed, and once her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light.

Temari had woken up when Gemini bolted out of the room. "Gemini?" she called out, calling out again when she bolted from the room. She debated on following the vixen for a few seconds before realizing where she was going and sighed lightly before heading back to her room and bed. If Gaara couldn't comfort her, then no one could.

Gaara heard his name being called and turned towards the entrance of the roof. What he saw nearly broke his heart. Seeing Gemini in the doorway, the jinchuuriki could tell that Gemini just had a terrible nightmare and was looking for comfort. Why she came up here looking for him though, he didn't have the foggiest idea.

Naruto set himself up on the couch and lay down. The moment his head hit the pillow, he was out like a light and snoring loudly.

When the redhead turned to look at her, Gemini lost it. Rushing forward, she tackled him in a hug that would have crushed anyone else, finally allowing the tears that she had held back before. Between sobs, she managed to shakily explain her nightmare, holding him tightly the whole time.

Yugito rested peacefully for once, knowing that nothing, nor anyone, could harm her as she slept. Plus, she also somehow knew that Naruto wouldn't let any harm come to her, as silly and weird as it sounded.

Gaara was completely at a lost of what to do, so just wrapped an arm around her, showing her that he was there, and was listening. After she finished, he had to resist the growl that came from him and his demon, knowing that such actions would only scare the female fox at the current time. However, he knew that he was going to give that bastard of her adoptive father a piece of his mind...

As Naruto slept, a part of him stayed aware enough that if anything should happen, he would be awake within seconds. Even asleep, he was looking after Yugito.

After her sobs had finally subsided, Gemini found herself completely exhausted. Unable to keep her eyes open, she mumbled a thank you to her friend, and promptly fell asleep in his lap. She would never know about the arrival of Dosu just an hour later, or the violent way the sound ninja died. She slept peacefully through the whole thing, secure in the belief that her friend wouldn't let anything get her, not even her own nightmares.

Yugito yawned and stretched like the cat she held within her as she woke up, the sun barely peaking over the horizon as she did so. "Ugh...what time is it?" she muttered to no one as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She had a feeling that Mata-chan had woken her up so that she could get ready for their early training session with the perverted sage. 'That reminds me...Foxy-kun never showed me that jutsu of his...' she thought as her mind started to wake up.

Out on the couch, Naruto was sleeping soundly, still snoring to wake the dead. It usually took three alarms, a bucket of water and the smell of food to wake him up, though sometimes just food would do it.

Gemini woke slowly, blinking as her sleep fogged mind caught up. At first she couldn't figure out where she was, or why she was resting against something warm. Her eyes snapped open and she turned bright red as she realized that she was till sleeping on Gaara's lap. She sat up quickly and looked over at the redhead, still blushing. "U-um...good m-morning...."

Yugito went into the bathroom in order to take a shower. After that, she would start cooking breakfast, hoping that her blonde host had other things to eat rather than just ramen. Granted it was a good food once in a while, and something handy to always have on hand, she also knew it wasn't healthy for you.

Gaara smirked lightly at that. "Good morning," he said, amused by her antics. He had to admit that she looked cute while she slept and was also glad to see that she hadn't had any nightmares while in his embrace.
