"I understand, and I would never ask you to make Gaara like myself or Foxy-kun. And yeah I guess I'll be pretty badass...but will I lose all of who I am? That's what worries me," Yugito admitted, often times wondering if Matatabi was once human herself. But it was one question that she would never ask...especially since it would be so personal. As a mother/Sister-figure, she would never ask something like that. "Sorry, I shouldn't be making you worry about things like that. But to answer your question...I think you will" Yugito said as she answered Gemini's question

"I have," he said with a smirk as he started talking about Gemini. "What about you? Anyone able to look past all your crazy quirks?" he asked, curious.

((Ah. No, Wolfie thinks gold is a good color.))

Gemini shook her head. "No, that's not what I meant. I was just musing about if Gaa-kun and I were in the same situation." She said. "Anyway, if you're worried about that, why don't you ask? If you don't want to ask the Nibi, then you could ask my father. Since he's the nine-tails, he might know." She suggested.

Lee grinned widely, blushing a little. "I have found someone I wish to protect! She does not feel the same way for me, but I will continue to try until she sees me as a worthy suitor!" He said enthusiastically. "But tell me, who is your special person, Gaara-san?"

"I think asking your father would be the better choice, if he does know that is," Yugito responded. "And I don't want to ask Mata-chan because it sounds like it would be way too personal of a question. As much as a pain in the neck she can be about my love life, or the innuendos, that's not something I want to ask"

"I don't think you have the right to know the answer to that question, but if you must insist, it's Gem-chan" Gaara replied with a light sigh, unintentionally using his pet name for her. He had a feeling that Lee would just have continued to annoy him with the answer until he told him anyways.

Gemini nodded. "I can understand that. It would be strange asking personal questions from someone that's like a parent figure." She agreed. Just then, Kimi came back with their orders. Gemini thanked her, and then she left. "I wonder what's happening with Gaa-kun right now."

Lee jumped to his feet with a cheer, and turned to face Gaara head on. "YES! Ever since we met int he chunin exams, I have known that you two were meant for each other! I am very happy for you, Gaara-san! The youthful Gemini-chan is a perfect counterpart to your very serious nature! And you already have a pet name for her! Congratulations!" The green-jumpsuit-clad ninja gave his trademark sparkling smile and thumbs-up.

((Wolfie couldn't resist a little outburst with Lee. It just seemed like it was overdue.))

"Thank you Kimi-san," Yugito said before turning to Gemini. "And yeah...talking to Mata-chan about this just doesn't seem right, at least not to me. And knowing Gaara, and Naruto, I know that both of them are taking care of themselves," she said though she was silently worried just a little about her boyfriend.

Gaara just facepalmed at that. "And that was why I didn't want to tell you," Gaara responded.

Gemini nodded absently and took a sip of her tea. "Yeah...you're right. I'm sure they're fine." She said.

Lee wasn't listening. He grabbed Gaara's arm and pulled him up. "Come, we must get back to the village and see if the others are alright! The sooner we do so, the sooner you can see your lovely Gemini-san again!" He started pulling Gaara back towards Konoha at an unreasonable speed.

"I just hope your father can answer my questions," Yugito said before taking a small sip of her tea. "Wow...this is pretty good"

Gaara thought about killing Lee with his sand and claiming that it was one of the opponents jutsus that did him in, but ultimately thought against it. Besides, he had a feeling that Gemini would have disapproved of the action

"I'm sure he can." Gemini said with a smile. "Yeah? I'm glad you think so. I told you this place was pretty good." She added, feeling proud of her favorite tea shop.

Lee had them back at the gates of Konoha in less than ten minutes-impressive, since it was a half-hour walk from where they had been. They got there just in time to see an unconscious Naruto being carried back in by Kakashi, along with Shikamaru, Temari, Kiba and Akamaru and Kankuro, who all seemed tired but okay.

Kakashi explained what had happened and how both Naruto and Sasuke had fought to the bitter end. However, Kakashi was unable to get there in time from when Sasuke was passed out whereas Naruto was possibly on death's door. Hearing the neko gasp lightly, he assumed that this was the Yugito person that Naruto had been talking about lately.

Gemini was nearly in tears by the time Kakashi had finished. "Oh, Naruto-kun..." She whispered, feeling horrible for the boy who was like her brother. She had known that he would fight Sasuke almost to the death, but she had never imagined that he would fail to bring the Uchiha back. She knew he would carry the guilt of that failure for life, and that broke her heart all the more. She watched in silence as Naruto was taken by the nurses to be worked on, and decided to wait to find out how everyone was.

Meanwhile, Lee was waiting to be seen himself, since he had reinjured himself during the fight with Kimimaro. As he waited, he spotted Gemini, and instantly notified Gaara. "Gaara-san! The lovely Gemini-san is right over there, and she looks upset! You must go and comfort her!"

Gaara could tell that Gemini was upset even without Lee telling him as such. He knew that his girlfriend considered his first friend like a brother. Moving towards her side, he hesitantly wrapped an arm around her, not knowing if that was the right thing to do at the moment.

"Foxy-kun..." Yugito said softly, tears coming to her eyes unbidden as she heard what happened. "Please pull through...please" she whispered.

Gemini had her face in her hands, trying to hold it together. When she felt an arm hesitantly wrap around her, she immediately turned towards the person and buried her face in their chest. She knew, instinctively, that it was Gaara, and that was confirmed when she hugged him and caught his scent. "At least you're okay..."

Sakura, who was waiting around to see Naruto as well, noticed Yugito crying. She approached the Neko girl and patted her back. "Yugito-san...he'll be okay. Lady Tsunade is the best there is. There's no way she'll let anything bad happen." The pinkette said, as much to reassure herself as the other girl.

"Of course I'm alright. Though that guy was a bit of a pain to beat..." Gaara replied, muttering the last bit. If it hadn't been for his opponent's sickness, then he would still be fighting him right now, hopefully to a standstill. He didn't want to think that he would have to bring Shukaku out for something so meaningless...

Yugito wiped her tears softly, before feeling someone patting her back. Getting a sniff of strawberries and something else, she knew that it was Naruto's female teammate, Sakura. Hearing what she had to say, she smiled lightly. "Thank Sakura-chan...

Gemini looked up, eager for a distraction. "What guy? Tell me about it, and use details." She begged, still sniffling from trying not to cry.

Sakura smiled gently. "It's no problem. That's what friends are for, right?" She said. She still remembered the way their teams worked together in the chunin exam, and how Yugito had been kind to her when she felt useless.

Gaara explained everything about the opponent that he had faced, talking about everything that he remembered about the male. It was definitely a hard battle.

"Y-yeah, we are," Yugito responded with a tearful smile.

Gemini listened attentively, her eyes widening slightly at how close Gaara had come to getting hurt. By the time he finished, she had almost forgotten about Naruto- almost. "Wow...I'm so glad you're okay, Gaa-kun. The fact that you had to use those moves against him, when you've never even tried some of them before...that's scary." She hugged him again. "I kind of wish I could have seen it, though."

At that moment, Tsunade appeared from the hospital room where Naruto was. She saw the crowd outside who were obviously worried about the boy, and smiled a little. It was good to know that so many people cared about her godson. "Naruto is going to be fine." She announced. "He'll be sore for a while, and I'm keeping him here overnight just in case, but he'll live. You can visit him now if you want- but only one or two at a time!" She added the last part quickly as she saw at least two people jump up to go in the room.

Yugito heard Tsunade say that he would make a speedy recovery and that he could see visitors. Hearing that, she quickly jumped at the chance to see her boyfriend. Even her tail was wagging though she didn't know that at the moment.

"It was indeed tough..." he responded before hearing that Naruto would be alright. After hearing that he could have visitors, he turned towards Gemini and issued her to go.

Gemini smiled and hugged him again. "I'll be back in a few minutes." She said, before heading into the room. She saw that Naruto was just waking up, looking bleary and a little confused. "Naruto-kun...how are you?"

Sakura decided to wait until Yugito and Gemini had seen Naruto before she went in. She had something to ask Tsunade first, anyway.

Yugito wiped the tears off of her face before heading inside. She wanted to rush in there in order to see his condition, but had a feeling that that would be unwise. As such, she headed into the room at a brisk pace...of course this was after she had thanked Sakura once again.

Naruto looked up to see both Yugito and Gemini entering the room. He was still a little groggy, and had only just figured out that he was in the hospital. He was trying to remember what had happened before he passed out, and whether they had caught Sasuke or not, but he couldn't quite recall. Letting that line of thought drop for the moment, he beamed at the girls. "Hey Gemini-chan. Hey Kitty-chan. How long have I been out? And Gemini-chan, when did you get here? Is Gaara-san here, too?" He asked.

Gemini smiled, relieved that he sounded normal, at least, even though he was covered in bandages. "Yes, Gaa-kun is here. And his siblings, too. We all got here several hours ago. They were called in to help you guys, and I came along just in case. I was worried sick about you, you big dope." She said, her tone turning almost motherly at the end.
