"We know you didn't mean anything by it Gem-chan," Gaara responded. "And why do I believe the Kyuubi is now causing you to have a migraine for that statement Naruto?" the redhead asked. Before anything more could be said on the subject, Gaara asked Naruto when he was getting out of the hospital, knowing that the blonde had an idea of that already.

Gemini smiled humbly and nodded. She turned her attention to Naruto, wondering the same question Gaara had asked.

Naruto shuddered a little, confirming the presence of Kyuubi's unhappy image in his mind. "I should be let out by tomorrow morning, at the latest." He said.

"That's good to hear," Gaara replied, though he knew that they would be heading back to Suna soon. After saying that, a nurse knocked on the door before peaking her head inside.

"Visiting hours are over, I hate to ask you to leave but rules are rules," she said before closing the door.

Gemini pouted. "Aw, shoot. I didn't realize it was getting so late. Well, I'll come back to see you in the morning Naruto-san. Unless you're out already, in which case we can all go to lunch together." She said.

Naruto was a bit relieved. He loved spending time with his friends, but he was (for once) tired and wanted to go to bed. "Okay. Either way, I'll see you guys tomorrow. I'll definitely be out of the hospital to see you off when you leave." He promised.

"We'll hold you to that promise Naruto-san," Gaara responded before both he and Gemini left for the evening, leaving Yugito alone in the room with her boyfriend.

Yugito had already muted Matatabi, having an idea that she would take this opportunity to say some very lewd and inappropriate things. Having seen Gaara and Gemini exit the room, Yugito turned to her boyfriend. "I'll see you tomorrow "Foxy-kun," she said. And before she could psyche herself out, she leaned over and kissed Naruto on the cheek. After that (and ignoring the heat rising to her cheeks) she left the room so that her boyfriend could get some rest.

The next morning, Naruto woke to a nurse checking his vital signs. After the expected fuss, he was given a bunch of paperwork to fill out and told that once he finished it, he could leave. He started filling it out instantly.

Gemini shifted slightly, still half asleep. There was something warm in front of her, and she snuggled close to it instinctively. It smelled like sand, sunshine and exotic spices. Gaara... She thought happily. Then her eyes flew open and she blushed, looking up at Gaara, who was laying on the bed with her. She remembered asking him to stay with her until she fell asleep the night before, but she never imagined he would stay the whole night. Wait...Gaara can't sleep. He must have been laying there bored all night! "Oh, Gaa-kun, I'm sorry! Y-you didn't have to stay there all night. I hope you weren't too bored."

Yugito yawned lightly, but stayed outside the hospital, waiting for her boyfriend to exit from the place that smelled like death and decay. She had made a promise to herself last night before going to sleep that she would be the first person Naruto saw when he exited the place.

"I wasn't bored at all Gem-chan. I was watching over someone beautiful" he responded honestly, not understand why she blushed at what he had just said. It was true, he had enjoyed watching her sleep and didn't mind in the slightest of staying with her during the night, even if he knew when she had asked to stay with her, she had only meant until she fell asleep, but he didn't feel like moving from where he was after she did so.

Yugito's internal promise came true in a slightly different way than she planned that day. Naruto finished with the paperwork, and the very second he was told he could leave, he literally jumped out the window of his third-floor room. Unfortunately, he didn't see that Yugito was almost directly underneath him. So he landed in front of her, got surprised at seeing her there, tripped and fell forward, ultimately bringing them both to the ground in a slightly compromising position. "Oops..."

Gemini felt herself blush at the words. "O-oh...okay. Thank you, Gaa-kun." She said with a smile. It was strange, with anyone else in the world knowing that they watched her while she slept would have been creepy beyond all reason. But with Gaara, the thought made Gemini feel warm and safe. "S-so, breakfast?" She offered.

Yugito's cheeks quickly turned to crimson, the inner voice of Matatabi laughing her furry ass off for a few seconds before she mentally muted the hellcat, but knew that she wouldn't hear the end of this for some time. Her cheeks still ablaze, especially at the situation now. "G-good Morning F-foxy-kun" she stuttered out due to the compromising situation he had put them in, completely embarrassed by all of this.

"Breakfast and then perhaps we could see how Naruto-san is doing? Knowing him, he's trying to get out of the hospital as quickly as possible" Garra responded. There was also the funny feeling that he was getting that he was missing something that would have made good blackmail material later on in life.

It took Naruto a moment or two to fully realize the situation he was in, and one could almost see the ellipsis over his head as it dawned on him. Kurama's raucous laughter in his mind finally kicked the blonde into action, and he jumped up off of Yugito. "Ah, K-Kitty-chan, I'm s-so sorry!" He apologized frantically. In his experience, this would be the part where the woman punched him hard enough to send him flying across the village. And this time, he deserved it.

Gemini nodded. "Sounds good. If we hurry, we might catch the show." She said. Naruto was almost infamous for making a scene as he left the hospital.

"I-it's okay," Yugito responded as her cheeks were still a light pink, but she was calming down. Yugito knew that Naruto honestly didn't mean to land on her or make her feel embarrassed over all of this. Looking over at him after he jumped off of her, he noticed that he was waiting for something, but wasn't sure as to what. "Um...Foxy? What's wrong?" she asked, cocking her head to the side in curiosity.

"Show?" Gaara asked, wondering what she meant by that.

Naruto peeked at Yugito, wondering why the pain hadn't happened yet. Then he realized that she wasn't going to hit him. "I...you're not going to punch me?" He asked, genuinely confused.

Gemini chuckled. "I call it a show. Naruto-kun always makes a big scene when he leaves the hospital, and it's always entertaining." She explained.

"Why would I punch you? Because of you falling on me like that?" Yugito asked curiously as she cocked her head to the side, unsure as to why he was thinking that. "If you're thinking that, then I'm not going to hit you. Not for an accident or anything like that," she responded with a shake of her head.

"I see," Gaara responded. Though he, himself, had little interaction with hospitals, what with his absolute defense and whatnot.

Naruto finally let down his guard. "Really? I thought...I mean, Sakura-chan always hits me when things like that happen, so I thought you were supposed to." He said, blinking as the reality dawned on him that Sakura's behavior wasn't necessarily normal.

"Hey, gaa-kun, have you ever had to stay in the hospital?" Gemini asked, as if sensing his thoughts. She could only imagine how such a stay would have gone, and figured it probably hadn't happened, simply because Suna still had a hospital.

"You don't deserve to get hit just because of an accident like that. Now if you meant to do it, then I would hit you, but that's a different story," Yugito explained. And while she had a feeling Sakura was only doing it like everyone else did back then.

"No, I've never had to go to the hospital. Mot...Shukaku always protected me with the sand defense, and until Rock Lee broke it, I thought it was invincible," he admitted.

Naruto smiled broadly and hugged Yugito. "Kitty-chan, you're the best ever!" He shouted.

Gemini bit her lip, wanting to say something but not sure how Gaara would take it. "Gaa-kun...about that...I've been thinking a lot, and I don't think..." She paused, nervous. "I think you were lied to. I don't know why, but I think...no, I fully believe that your mother's spirit is protecting you. Maybe the demon is part of it, but I just get the feeling that your mother is there, too. That she really did love you, and still does."

Yugito blushed before returning the hug, glad that no one they knew had witnessed the scene earlier. "No problem Foxy-kun. Now then, can we get out of here? I hate the smell of hospitals," the cat girl admitted.

Gaara heard what Gemini said and thought about it. After a few minutes of silence, he responded. "Perhaps. I honestly don't know Gem-chan, but if that is the case then you're probably right," was all that he said. He would have to do some more thinking about that...and possibly go to his mindscape in order to see if that was the case or not.

Naruto nodded. "Yeah, let's go. Maybe we can get something to eat." He said, stomach rumbling as he said it.

Gemini nodded and let him think. She knew it was a sensitive subject to bring up, especially so suddenly, and she hoped he wasn't too upset.

I'm not upset at you Gem-chan," Gaara said suddenly. "But you have definitely given me something to think about," he added with a light smile. "Now then...you said something about witnessing Naruto embarrass himself?"

"Food sounds wonderful," Yugito responded, adding a look of sheepishness as her stomach growled as well.

Gemini blinked. It seemed almost like they read each other's minds sometimes. Then his words sunk in and she smiled. "Ah, that's right. Let's go!" She said, getting up.

Naruto laughed. "All right! There's a breakfast place close by, let's go!" He said, before realizing that he didn't have his wallet. "Er...after I go back to my place and grab my money." He sweatdropped.

Gaara grinned at that, knowing that he would have to mediate on that subject tonight...before heading off to see what his first friend got into after escaping the hospital.

Yugito giggled lightly at that, her tail swishing around happily for a few seconds before she realized what happened and quickly coiled the appendage around her waist, blushing heavily.

Naruto laughed at Yugito's slip up. "It's so cute when you act like a cat!" He said, smiling. He was about to say something else when his ears perked up. "I think I hear Gemini-chan." He said, just before being pounced on by a small red fox. "Ugh...Gemini-chan? Wait...since when can you change into a fox?!" Naruto shouted, surprised.

In fox form, Gemini sat on top of Naruto, clearly pleased with herself for being able to ambush him. She had come up with the idea while they walked, and told Gaara her plan before transforming. Once she had seen Naruto standing there, she made her move.

Yugito's blush deepened as she heard Naruto say he liked it when she acted more like a cat, and the fact that Matatabi had commented that she could teach her a few things didn't help either. Though when she saw Gemini as a small fox pouncing on her boyfriend, she couldn't help but laugh at him and how surprised he looked.

Gaara chuckled lightly as he saw and heard Naruto reacting to Gemini in her fox form.
