Autumn nodded. It had steadily been getting colder, and she was starting to shiver.

"Let's find somewhere to get warmer clothes," she said. "I have an all-purpose requisition number I can leave in reference for whatever we take."

Pietro nodded. "There should be some shops up this way," he said, pointing. And hopefully they'd have something appropriate for the weather.

Autumn nodded and followed him.

"They should have something, at last," she said. "Hopefully something warm."

Pietro got the doors open to the first store and started looking, finding a jacket for himself quickly and grabbing a pair of gloves to go with. He grabbed a second, smaller pair of gloves for her, since he figured she'd get cold too. And he made sure hers were thin enough that she could hold and fire her gun still too.

Autumn was already putting on a jacket that fit and adjusting her gear accordingly. Just putting the jacket on made her feel a bit better, and she smiled a bit when he handed her the gloves.

"Thanks," she said.

Pietro nodded and grabbed two scarves, shoving one in the pocket of his jacket and handing the other over to her.

"The sooner we can get going again, the better. This place feels... unstable, almost."

Autumn nodded, taking the scarf and putting it on.

"It does," she agreed. "We should hurry."

Pietro waited for her to be done to lead the way outside again. So far, the way was still clear, but he doubted that would last for long, so he motioned for her to hurry as he started down the street again.

Autumn followed, gun ready just in case they ran into something she could actually handle. Such as the person who cast the spell, that would be a good place to start. But first they needed to find who did it.

By the time they got to the main street SI was on, they'd come across more ice monsters, most of which Pietro had taken care of simply by toppling them into one another or breaking enough limbs that they went down. But they were getting larger, and appearing more frequently.

"I don't see any lights on inside," he said quietly, looking at SI.

"Inside is probably still safer than out here," Autumn said. "Let's get the door open and get in there."

Pietro nodded and moved ahead, forcing the main door open and holding it open for her before letting it shut again. Inside was fairly dark, with no lights on, but it was marginally warmer. If only because there was no wind chill.

Autumn tested the light switches, just to make sure, before opening the door to the stairwell.

"Let's head up," she said. "It's a long ways, but our best bet are the living floors."

Pietro nodded and started climbing. Even he hated stairs, especially when he had to go at normal speed. So he started grumbling part-way up.

"Where's Strange, anyway? He said he'd be back."

"He said he would, so he will," Autumn said. "He's probably off trying to do mystical things." She shook her head. "Not my job to keep track of him, usually, but apparently he defaults to me this time since I'm the first agent he came across."

"Indeed," Strange answered from the landing above them. Pietro swore. "I have found a few others, and I have a better idea of what is going on. In here, please." He pushed open the door and ushered them inside.

He'd already managed to gather up Clint, Tony, Logan, and Spiderman. And Alexis had gotten thrown in the rescue group too somehow.

Autumn couldn't help but sigh and grin when she saw the others.

"I have never been so glad to see you, Logan," she commented. "And... Spidey. Haven't seen you around this long before."

"Didn't exactly have much of a choice," Spiderman said. "Between freeze, get squished, or join up, I picked the option most likely to keep me alive."

"Cheer up, kid," Tony said, clapping him on the shoulder. "At least we found you before you got squished."

"This is never going to end," Alexis said. "This is going to become a Thing, I know it is. Let's all just ignore them and focus on how the hell we get out of here, yeah?"

"We just came through the city from the southern end," Autumn said. "Nothing but ice and ice-monsters."

"We were here," Clint said. "Power just suddenly went out and nothing worked. Got cold really damn fast."

"Spidey and I came over from the west side," Alexis said, grinning fondly at the young superhero. "He's pretty damn good backup."

Pietro snorted a bit but started to look around. "Do we know anything else yet?" He looked at Strange. "Like how to get rid of this spell?"

"Not yet," Strange replied. "However, there is a large concentration of magical energy higher in the building that I suspect might have the answer."

"Great. Towards the magic." Pietro spoke sarcastically, walking back over to Autumn. He felt more comfortable with her than anyone else in the room, after all. "Well. Shall we?"

"May as well," Autumn said. "Let's try to get things back to normal."

Pietro went first, and Alexis stayed in the back to keep an eye on everything and cover them in case anything decided to try to sneak up behind them.

Needless to say, it took a while to get up the stairs.

"Next time you want to build something like this, Tony," Autumn said as they got closer to the top of the building, "don't. Remember this moment, and don't." It didn't matter that she was in great shape, she still didn't like stairs.
