Natasha snorted softly, but went to change into something comfortable for lounging around in. Clint just grinned and made his way towards the kitchen.

"Coming?" he asked Alexis.

"Of course." Alexis grinned and followed him into the kitchen. "What, did you miss me while you were gone?" She was mostly teasing. Mostly.

"Nobody was laughing at my jokes," Clint said, making a face. "Nat just kept threatening to break my fingers."

"Yeah, that sounds like her," Alexis said with a grin. "See, I knew you'd miss me." She waggled her eyebrows at him playfully.

"Bet you missed me too," Clint replied, waggling his eyebrows in return.

"It was oddly quiet with no one playing video games, but I also didn't have to look for anyone before I went skinny dipping in the hot tub." Alexis smirked. Yes, she was being mean, but it was fun.

"You're a cruel woman, Alexis," Clint said, putting a hand to his chest in mock hurt. "You really are, teasing a man that way."

"What can I say, I have to do something to get a reaction." Alexis grinned and helped get plates and utensils out for dinner.

"Would you two stop flirting?" Tony called. "I'm going to be sick now."

Clint snickered at that.

"You're just jealous," he called back to Tony.

"Jesus, love birds, get a room, I've got dozens of them," Tony grumbled.

Alexis grinned and moved out of the way to let everyone else at dinner first.

Clint snickered a bit more and made himself a plate. Then he went and perched himself on the couch and waited for everyone else to filter in.

Alexis let everyone else get their food first, and then she got food and sat on the couch next to Clint without even thinking about it. Tony made faces at the two.

Clint just ignored him. He relaxed a bit more once Alexis sat down, and he started digging into dinner. For the moment, the world was pretty okay in his book.

Natasha joined them and looked amused when she saw the two, but she didn't say anything, instead just sitting in the chair nearest the couch. Since clearly those two weren't going to do anything themselves, she'd talk to Clint later about it.

If Tony didn't beat her to it, anyway.

Clint didn't notice the look Natasha was giving him, but he also didn't care much to look. It was dinner time on movie night, damn it, let there be dinner and movies. Sitting next to Alexis didn't hurt, either.

After the movie was over, Alexis got up to help clear the plates and things away, and Natasha looked at Clint and raised an expressive eyebrow.

Clink blinked when he noticed the look this time.

"What?" he asked. "Nat, I guarantee I have not done anything in the last six hours to deserve that look."

"Yes you have," Natasha chided gently. "You're just not thinking about it." She flicked her gaze to the kitchen and back, where Natasha was helping Bruce wash the dishes.

Clint raised an eyebrow and followed her gaze quickly.

"What? She's nice, I like working with her, I have no idea what you're implying, Nat." Only one of those was a bold-faced lie.

Nat smirked. "Are we playing two truths and a lie now, Clint? You know you won't win, not with me."

"Just leave it alone, Nat," Clint said, looking everywhere but at Natasha. "It's-- it's not what you think." The protest was weak, and he knew it.

Natasha gave him a very droll look. "Really." She let him stew for a moment before she snorted. "If you don't say anything soon who knows where she'll end up."

"She likes us," Clint said stubbornly. "She's not going anywhere. And once HYDRA is taken care of, everything will be fine."

Nat just shook her head a bit, because there was no guarantee of any of that, and Clint really should know better. But she didn't call him out on it, instead just moving back to her seat as Tony and Bruce bickered over another movie.

Clint got up once the bickering started and took his plate into the kitchen. He absolutely wasn't just going in because Alexis was there, not at all. No matter what Natasha thought. Really.

Nat was right, he was kind of a shit liar when it wasn't for an op.
