Doctor Who: A New Dawn
 

The doctor glanced at the mirror in the TARDIS, slightly sighing. He could still remember when he had changed for the 11th time. It almost felt like cheating to him. He had seen his companions go from young to old while he lived on. He missed them more than he was willing to admit as well. Shaking his head he turned to the center of the TARDIS and played at the system before pulling down the lever and letting the TARDIS travel where ever it might decide to take him next.

With a slightly shake, he landed at his new detestation. Feeling a bit excited now he opened the door to find tall skyscrapers reaching the skies and cars zooming right by while in mid air. "Flying cars! Would you look at that!" The Doctor laughed and clapped his hands together. He felt rejuvenated by the advanced sight. As he walked along his even pasted by robots of all sorts of special designs, but this made him hesitate for one very good reason, cyber men. They looked skinny and of a totally different design, but he pulled out his sonic screwdriver just in case and scanned them, they were all clean. Feeling relief The Doctor skipped onward, feeling much better now that he knew nothing was in danger for now.

Olivia woke up hearing the sound of rain outside her bedroom window. She loved living in England but felt something was missing in her life since her dad had died a few years ago. Olivia up out of bed and started the coffee pot in her small one bedroom apartment and took a quick shower, since she didn't want to miss the festival in the local park today. She took a quick shower and got dressed. Olivia was glad today was finally Saturday and that she would be able to watch some Doctor Who reruns on DVD. " Something doesn't seem right." Olivia thought and locked her apartment door heading down the stairway.

Things seemed pretty normal, but there was feeling in the air that Olivia couldn't shake.The last thing she wanted was something bad happen on a day that was supposed to be a good one.

After a fun evening of adventuring around the Doctor jumped back in the TARDIS. It was great to get a break from trouble every now and then, but the advanced society just didn't have what he was looking for. Everyone was organized down to the minute, but it made it seem so bland. What's the good of being organized when something unexpected could happen! Something different, something new! Something he couldn't get in a place like that. So, he was off to find something better. Clicking at buttons and setting everything into place, he pulled the lever and traveled where ever the TARDIS might take him. Landing again, he noticed something was off. Hopping out of the door he looked to the modern world, a society still at the beginning of great technology. The Doctor walked down plain old streets until he finally found a newspaper stating the date. "October 29, 2013" the paper had it printed out in bold. Smiling to himself he set the paper down and walked forward. "What would you know... I'm back in the past again." He was more excited, than anything else.

Olivia stopped for a moment an looked at the man who had just past her. " That can't be who I think he is?"She thought in a daze. Olivia hoped he was just a cosplayer that was also heading to the festival, since it was quite common these days to see them out an about. Olivia decided she would follow him for a little while and try to figure out who he was.

The Doctor wondered around a bit before stopping. it had just come to mind that he had no clue where he was going. Feeling a bit lost he glanced around at the buildings. Only one of them looked like they had a slight chance of having someone inside. Humming to himself The Doctor walked up the stairs and to the door before pulling out his sonic screwdriver and unlocking the buildings doors with a loud click. "Aha! Got it at the first try. In your face, door." With that he skipped inside and looked around only to find it has empty as all the buildings around looked. "Now where in the world has everyone disappeared to?" He muttered.

Olivia followed the man and almost let out a squeak of delight when he opened the doors with what looked like a Sonic Screwdriver. What she didn't need was for him to find out that she was following him but then her phone sounded with the TARDIS ringtone she had found on the Internet. " Great. Now I'm going to get caught. " Olivia said and wondered what she should do if he found her here.

"What in the word? Was that my TARDIS?" The Doctor straightened as soon as he heard the sound. He glanced around curiously and rubbed his. "It sounded closer though... But how could that be possible unless she moved on her own? I should check just in case." With that he quickly slipped down the street and back to the alley where the TARDIS was hidden from all eyes. Crossing his arms, he opened the door to the TARDIS and peeked in the large inside that seemed much too big to fix in a simple blue box. "Well, if she hasn't moved... I must be starting to lose my mind."

Olivia was glad he didn't look at her, but at the same time was disappointed he ignored her. She went through the alley way and that was where she saw the TARDIS. " So I'm not losing my mind." She said out loud and wanted to take a look inside. She heard her phone sound off again and she turned off the ringer. Her ex - boyfriend wanted to get back together with her, but Olivia knew better this time around, since he never changed.

This time he heard the sound of the ring tone clearly and he knew he wasn't alone. shutting the TARDIS door, he quickly walked towards the sound. there he discovered the female that had been spying on him. He figured she might try to run but made to attempt to grab at her. But he did make sure to speak clearly so she could hear him in the case she did try to escape. "I don't know who you are but it's a bit rude to follow a man around and not even introduce yourself."

" I do apologize. I guess my curiosity got the best of me. My name is Olivia Davis. " She said feeling guilty about following The Doctor. She wondered if she should tell him why she had been following him not sure if he would believe her. " You probably want to know why I was following you, but my answer might sound strange. " Olivia said.

He seemed to brighten up at the sound of her introduction. Grinning from ear to ear, he returned the favor. "I am The Doctor, and before you even begin to ask, yes it is my name. I even got side-kick paper to support me on this one." The Doctor warmed up to her right away. "You know... I wouldn't exactly mind hearing it. I am honestly a bit confused as to why are stranger would follow me. Is that a trend in 2013?" He asked, clearly curious as to what she had to say.

"It isn't a trend. What would you think if I said I already knew who you are? And that millions of others know too? Also what if I said this was because of a popular tv show that's been shown in 42 countries and has been around since 1963? " Olivia said. " Truth is Doctor I followed you because of those reasons. I wanted to be sure you were who I believed you were. " She added.

He looked at her in completely surprise as she spoke. He even felt speechless at what she was saying. A T.V show about him? Was it even possible? Someone had recorded all of his adventures and made it into some program? It didn't seem possible, but one thing he had learned in his journey is that nothing was possible. Changing his thinking, his eyes suddenly sparked with an idea. "Could you show me this? I'm really curious as to what you know about me now."

" I will. I'll show you some of your adventures. I was actually going to watch the episode where you meet Amelia Pond. " Olivia said. She felt bad she didn't have episodes of the First Doctor and made a note to check eBay to see if there were any there. " Can we stop at the store first? I always eat take out when I watch Doctor Who. You could say its a tradition of sorts. " She added and felts sad , since that what she had done with her dad.
