"I think so," Doreen agreed. "Huh. Well, we've got two resident Asgardians, we can ask them about it."

"I think we should," Laurel agreed, grinning. Quickly, she typed up a post for the blog to placate their followers.

Doreen snickered. "Well, we can go ask Thor, he probably wouldn't mind," she said.

"Possibly," Laurel said, looking through some of her notes briefly. "Though isn't only Loki supposed to remember each Ragnarok cycle, supposedly? Everyone else forgets?"

Doreen shrugged. "We can ask him, then," she said. "Although who knows how accurate the myths are on that point. He could remember nothing."

"Someone has to, or else there would be nobody to start the rumors that lead to the myths," Laurel said. "We might be able to get into his room to ask him, if we try."

"Getting into his room likely won't be a problem," Doreen said with a shrug. "I've visited him once or twice before."

"Really?" Laurel asked, interested. "I didn't know that." She grinned. "Come on, then, why are we wasting time? End of the world to investigate!"

Doreen laughed a bit and headed for Loki's rooms. She knew the way by now, but she wasn't quite sure if she should go find Thor first or not.

Thor was, in fact, lingering just outside of Loki's room. He glanced over when he saw the girls.

"I assume you know what commences this day," he said to them both. "Else you wouldn't have come down here."

Doreen nodded. "That's right," she agreed. "We were curious if Loki knows anything." She was watching Thor carefully though, to make sure he wasn't upset, because she'd found that mattered to her.

"I would hope so," Thor replied, "considering his role is to bring the End upon us all." He looked at her, and then to the closed door. "I have been asked to bring him home with me, to Asgard, so that we might all complete this cycle and start anew, but... He cannot bring the End if he stays here, and things need not change any more."

Doreen swallowed. "I'd really rather not have things change even more right now, I'm still adjusting to some of the changes," she said, looking at him. Then she grinned. "Besides, I can't make pancakes for you if you're off on Asgard again." She doubted that mattered much, but she couldn't help the little bit of teasing, especially since he ate pancakes like no one else could.

"Indeed, I would rather not endure any more change for the moment, either," Thor replied, looking at her. There was something almost tender in his expression, a look he had not given anyone else.

While the two were talking, Laurel took the opportunity to knock on the door and peek inside.

Doreen smiled. "Well, then, is there any way you can... ignore your orders without getting yourself into too much trouble?"

Loki waved the door open, since he'd been listening in on the whole conversation.

"I am hoping that I can at least delay them," Thor admitted. "Events must be set into motion by sundown, or else wait for another whole length of the cycle."

Laurel slipped into the room quietly.

"I'm guessing you heard all of that out there," she commented.

Doreen nodded. "Until sundown, huh?" She grinned. "Well, then, can I tempt you to help me with some things until sundown?"

Loki nodded. "I did," he agreed, his voice mild.

Thor couldn't help but smile a bit at her.

"I think you can," he said, offering her his arm.

"What do you think?" Laurel asked cautiously.

Doreen grinned and tucked her arm through his, heading upstairs. She'd find things to keep them busy for a while.

Loki shrugged, his head tilted as he listened to his brother walking away. "I think the world will have to wait for the next cycle."

"I think you're right," Laurel agreed as she listened to the footsteps disappear. "Not that I mind, I like the world the way it is."

Loki hummed noncommittally at that, instead turning his attention to the window again.

"You have questions for me?"

"I think so," Laurel said, sitting down cautiously. "Trying to figure out exactly what to expect. I mean, as long as you're willing to talk to me, at least."

Loki looked at her for a moment. "I do not know," he said. "I am not one of those gifted and cursed to remember past cycles, nor how the cycle begins anew."

"Really?" Laurel asked, interested. "I officially have no idea why I bothered taking mythology in college, none of it has helped so far." She made a couple of notes on her phone. "So who does remember, then?"

"Thor remembers some," Loki said. "Odin. Frigga." He shrugged carelessly. "None others that I know of."
