"I'm trusting you on this," Laurel said, grinning. She sat back with a sigh. "It was nice to get out of the tower today. I didn't realize how much I missed being out and about."

Steve nodded. "Yeah. The tower is great, but nothing replaces getting out and going other places," he said, stretching out a bit.

"No kidding," Laurel said. She sighed a bit. "I always said I was going to travel, when I grew up. It just... never happened. I ended up getting used to staying home."

Steve nodded. He knew how that went.

"Well, you could travel now," he pointed out. "On non-Avengers related trips, even."

"I guess I could," Laurel said. She shrugged a bit. "I think Dori is happy here for the moment, though. I don't know if she'd want to travel, and it's no fun going alone."

Steve shrugged. "Well, despite being in Europe for a while, I didn't actually get to see much of it," he said, looking off to the side. "There are still a lot of places I'd like to go."

That made Laurel pause.

"You want to travel?" she asked. "I didn't know that."

Steve nodded. "I would like to. I don't know if I can, given my rather hectic and impromptu schedule, but I would like to."

"Maybe we can work something out," Laurel said, considering it. "It's not like they can't find someone to fill in for you if they need to."

"Yeah." Steve shrugged. "I'll bring it up sometime and see what they think."

Laurel nodded.

"I wouldn't mind heading to Scotland eventually," she suggested, a bit shyly and blushing a little.

Steve grinned at that. "Well, then, we'll have to take a look at Scotland," he said. Because he would not mind traveling with her, not at all.

"What about you?" Laurel asked, a bit curious now. "Where do you want to go?"

"Back to Italy and Germany, I never got to actually see much. England maybe." Steve shrugged. "New Zealand sounds interesting."

"Germany could be fun," Laurel mused. She grinned. "I was born there. My dad was in the Army at the time."

Steve chuckled. "Well, then, we should certainly go back." It wasn't until a moment later that he realized he'd made the jump to 'we'. But he wasn't going to take it back.

Laurel caught the 'we' and blushed.

"Yeah," she agreed, nodding. "We should."

Steve grinned at that. Oh, he definitely liked the sound of that. And then their burgers and shakes arrived, and he shuffled a few things around to make room.

Laurel blinked when she saw the burgers.

"Jesus, Steve, you could have warned me that they made the burgers so big," she said, looking from the burger to him. She grinned. "This thing is massive."

Steve grinned. "It does say on the menu," he said. "Not my fault you didn't read." He took a fry and dunked it in his milkshake.

"You're surprisingly devious," Laurel said as she absently did the same thing. She paused when she saw him with the fries and shake. "You too?"

"Best way to have 'em," Steve said. "Some people don't like it, but I think it's great." He shrugged a bit.

"They're perfect this way," Laurel agreed. She grinned. "I've eaten them like this since I was a kid."

Steve nodded. "Me too. Buck gave me funny looks for it, at first, but I converted him." He grinned.

"I used to get funny looks from people too," Laurel said. "I'm not sure if Dori likes them this way, I never really noticed before if she did."
