Ark blinked, then blinked again, blinking a third time, wondering if what he heard was exactly what he heard. "Naruto-kun, care to repeat that? I think I heard crazy coming out of your mouth," the unofficial co-leader for Team HANA proclaiming as he took his pinky out of his ear after cleaning it. The girls couldn't like him...right?
Amaya narrowed her eyes as she glared at Naruto, a look that could kill, if looks could do as such. Though the light blush on her face took the heat out of her words unintentionally. "Take that back, now!" she hissed out angrily. Friend or not, teammate or not, if he didn't do as asked, she was going to shoot him, consequences be damned. |
Naruto crossed his arms. "Yeah, see? You don't like being accused, do you? I'll only take it back if you promise not to make jokes about me and Blake anymore!" He said triumphantly.
Hikari gasped. "Blackmail! You'll take it back no matter what, or else!" She said, the promise of pain in her voice. |
"Naruto...take it back or else," she said in a false sweet and kind voice. Yet despite how kind it sounded, it definitely promised pain.
|
Naruto grinned mischievously. Your reaction only proves that I'm right. See, Ark? They're both blushing. They like you. I wonder how they'll deal with that, eh? After all, only one of them can get you." He said conversationally.
Hikari's face was an alarming shade of red, and she advanced a step before stopping. She glanced over at Amaya. Was Naruto right about her? What would they do, then? She shook her head. Kill the fox now, think about love triangle later. Not that there was a love triangle. Of course not. |
"They're already promising to kill you Naruto, I'm staying out of this one," Areku replied. And the fox was only half right, he could technically date both girls since he was the last of the Tengun clan. But he wouldn't let anyone know that just yet. Besides, why stop good entertainment?
Amaya's face was an alarming shade of red as she brought one of her tonfas up and started charging a pistol shot. She then glanced over at Hikari. 'Was Naruto right about her? What would they do, then if that was the case?' She thought before shaking her head. Kill the fox now, think about love triangle later. Not that there was a love triangle. Of course not. |
Naruto finally seemed to realize the danger he was in, and gulped. "Ehehe...on second thought...maybe I'll just go..." He said nervously, and ran for his life.
Hikari swung one of her scissor blades and ran after the fox faunice. "NARUTOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" |
Areku chuckled lightly as he watched both females chase after the fox faunice, glad that no one was paying attention after everything returned to semi-normalcy. Shaking his head at all of this, he headed after both Hikari and Amaya, making sure that they didn't kill Naruto.
Amaya followed after Hikari, making sure only to shoot at Naruto when she had a clear shot. If it missed, she would be able to take the Aura away from the 'bullet' causing it to harmlessly contact anything else. She wouldn't aim to kill...not on purpose anyways. Yang saw Team HANA exit the cafeteria, both females chasing after the fox faunice as the last male left at a stable pace, already seeing a sigh escape from him. She couldn't hear it of course, but then again, she didn't have to. Putting an arm around Blake's shoulders, she grinned lightly. "So...should we go save your boyfriend Blake?" she asked. |
Eventually, Naruto found himself cornered in the hallway that led to their room. He was already bruised and bleeding in a few places. He looked around wildly for an escape route, but there was none. Hikari closing in on one side, Amaya on the other, the poor blonde had nowhere to go.
Holding her blade high, Hikari gave an evil smirk. Her eyes gleamed as she watched Naruto try to back rather into his corner. "You're gonna get it now, fox face. Are you ready to take back what you said?" She asked menacingly. |
Ark just sighed as he followed the two ladies that were after the fox. And just because he deserved some humiliation didn't mean that he deserved to die. "Alright girls, that's enough. Maim and bruise if you must but we still need him. And think about this...if he is right about you two liking me, which I don't understand by the way, would I want you to do this?" he asked, playing the one card he knew that would work on both of them if what Naruto was saying was indeed correct.
|
Hikari froze, already knowing the answer and hating that he was right. With a heavy sigh, she replaced her blade and turned away from the fox, crossing her arms as she did. "Fine, but consider yourself lucky that Ark-san was here this time. And next time maybe keep your mouth shut." She said.
Naruto sighed in relief, making a mental note to thank Ark later with chocolate or money or something. He collapsed against the wall and nodded furiously. "I'll keep my mouth shut, dattebayo. I won't say anything at all." He said. In front of you two, at least. He added mentally. |
(nice new background. and JMS: Still Hikari/Areku?)
Amaya scowled before lowering her weapon as well, placing it back within it's holster. "She's right. Next time you won't be so lucky. Kari-chan, we need to talk," she said as she got her leader's attention. They would have to do something about their crush on the same boy. Blake let out a sigh of relief as she saw that Naruto was safe from harm, even if he did deserve it from opening his big mouth. Though she did have to admit, all the teasing from Yang was starting to get to her as well. It was only just luck that the cat faunice didn't have any ammo that she could use against the easily tempered girl just yet. |
((Thanks, and yeah. Wolfie is supposed to be the Mad Hatter, though it didn't go so well. Limited budget and all.))
Hikari nodded. "I agree, Maya-chan. Boys, we're taking the room for a while. Stay out." She said bossily, heading for their dorm room. Standing back up as the girls walked away, Naruto looked at Ark. "What do you think they're gonna talk about?" He asked, oblivious to the fact that he had brought up the subject. |
(Phoenix sees...)
Areku turned and stared at him for a few seconds with a deadpan expression on his face. "Really? You make the accusation of both of them liking me, which I highly doubt by the way, and then go ask a question like that? Did your mother drop you on your head as a child?" he asked, restraining the urge to hit him. Seriously, he was the one who caused all this mess to begin with. Maya wordlessly followed Hikari into their room before closing the door behind them. She knew this was going to be a hassle and sighed lightly. |
Naruto blinked. "Yes, actually, she did. How'd you know?" He said in response to being asked if his mother had dropped him as a child. Then the rest of the sentence sank in and his eyes widened. "Oh...wait. If they're going to talk about it, that means at least one of them likes you and wants to make sure the other one doesn't!" He said, in a rare burst of intelligence.
Hikari sat on her bed and looked at her team mate. "Okay, so we both know what this is about. No pretenses. You like him, I like him, we need to do something about it. I don't want to fight with you, Maya-chan. I already think of you as a friend. I think the only fair thing to do is for both of us to back off. If he chooses one of us, so be it, but we shouldn't try to influence his decision." She said diplomatically. |
"...Blake come out of the corner and deal with him. I don't want to catch his stupid. You too Yang," Areku replied as he sighed lightly. Seriously, how could a fox like him be a partner on his team? Soon after, both girls came out of the corner, Yang with a sheepish expression on her face.
"And I don't want to fight with you for the same reasons," Amaya admitted. Listening to Hikari's idea, she nodded whole heartedly. "So...no hard feelings to the other if he picks one of us, and if we do have a date there will be no sabotage, right?" she asked, hoping that was the case. And if he chose someone else, then so be it. |
Naruto frowned. "Hey, I'm not stupid! You're mean, Ark-san." He said, looking up at Blake and Yang. "Did you guys really think we didn't know you were there?" He asked.
Hikari nodded. "Right. No sabotage. No matter what happens with this, we'll still be friends." She said, happy that the other girl was willing to work it out. |
Yang shrugged lightly. "Blake here was worried about you Foxy," she replied and would have made an appearance if they hadn't caught onto them.
"Good. I don't want to lose our friendship, just because of some boy," Amaya replied before holding her hand out as she was ready to cement the deal with a handshake. |
Naruto managed, just barely, to stop himself from blushing. "Right, sure. Well, I'm fine, see? But I definitely learned to keep my mouth shut." He said sheepishly.
"Absolutely. Especially when that boy happens to be a team member." Hikari said, reaching forward to shake Maya's hand. "We should go back out there before Naruto-kun decided to T.P. the building or something." |
"I'm glad to see you learned that lesson early then," Blake said with a smirk on her face. She was actually worried about the fox, but also worried about the other members of the team, especially since the princess was causing them so much trouble to begin with.
Amaya shook Hikari's hand as well before letting it go, a light giggle escaping from her lips at her suggestion. "Possible, but I doubt it. Besides, Blake would certainly disapprove and I don't think our foxy wants that..." she said with a slight grin on her face. |
Naruto chuckled sheepishly. He knew she was right, and that keeping his mouth shut was something he needed to work on. He'd never been very good at it. "So, what are you guys doing for the rest of the day?" He asked.
Hikari chuckled slightly at that. "Oh, of course you're right. Poor Naruto-kun would just die if Blake-chan were disappointed in him." She said, amused. "Oh, and on that note, I suggest we don't tease him quite as much. He'll just go opening his mouth again if we do." |
"I was gonna go do some training," Yang replied with a light shrug. She didn't have anything better to do and she wanted to fight some low leveled Grimm. "And I think that's what sis is doing right now with that weapon of hers," she added as an after thought.
"I don't have anything really planned," Blake admitted as she saw Areku grin and push Naruto towards her. "Why don't you two spar then? I'm sure Naruto here could use a little practice. And I'm sure you can as well Blake," he replied. "As fun as it is, you're probably right..."Amaya admitted with a soft sigh. "Though...do you think Blake could be a faunice?" she asked. |
Naruto sputtered indignantly, blushing as he was shoved forward. Finding himself standing face to face with Blake, he grinned and rubbed the back of his head. "Hehehe...hi there." He said lamely.
Hikari blinked, startled. "I never really thought about it, but...well, there's always a chance. She does always wear that ribbon, right where a pair of ears might be. But, it's not really any of our business if she is, especially if she chooses to hide it." |
Blake giggled lightly at his lame response as he was pushed towards her by his teammate. "Hi there" she responded with a mischievous grin on her face.
"True, it's none of our business. Anyways, I don't think we should keep them waiting anymore," she admitted. |
At a loss for what to do, Naruto just grinned. "So, um...you wanna hang out or something?" He asked.
Hikari nodded and headed for the door. She walked out to an interestingly awkward scene. "Well...I'm not sure what to say about this." She said to Naruto. |
"I can think of a word or two," Amaya said as she looked at the scene in front of her.
Blake wasn't sure what to do, knowing that Naruto was forced into the situation, causing the awkwardness that formed in this situation. |
