Naruto smiled brightly. "No problem. Everyone needs someone to talk to sometimes." He said, picking his sandwich back up and biting into it. He felt lighter now that someone knew about him.

Blake nodded, glad that he understood so well. "Perhaps...we can go on these outings once a week or so? That way we can...vent? At least until we trust our teammates enough to let them know," Blake suggested. She wasn't asking him out of a date or anything, but an outing between two friends who were faunice, one in the shadows and one in the light.

Naruto thought for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, I'd like that, dattebayo. I think that would help both of us out." He said. Relaxed meetings for lunch or just to talk between friends: it was something he'd wanted for a long time. A friend to just talk to.

"We'd have to deal with the rumors and teasing though," Blake replied. Though she knew that she could also use a friend to just talk to away from everything that happened between herself and the team. Nodding lightly to herself, she knew it was exactly what the both of them could need.

Naruto shrugged. "I deal with that anyway. And with your three team mates, I'm guessing there will be plenty of rumors swirling around you as well." He said with a chuckle, thinking of the talk their antics had already inspired.

"Probably. And with what the Princess has done already, I can just see the stories forming already," Blake said with a light laugh. She was glad that she chose to trust Naruto and telling him about herself.

Naruto nodded and chuckled again. "That's true. Did you sense the way people started turning against her when she and Gemini got punished? All those people who had been making fun of Gemini before were suddenly her biggest fans." He snorted. "Kind of pathetic, really. The way people just change their minds to follow the crowd."

Blake nodded in agreement. "It's people with that sheep mentality that made me join White Fang in the first place. I just hope that I can trust everyone enough to tell them before my ex-partner shows up. If he does..." she said, letting the sentence hang. She had left Adam alone on that train and didn't know what happened to him.

Naruto nodded. "I know. But at the same time, it was the very same thing that made me leave the White Fang. Noticing that everyone just did as they were told, without thinking..." He sighed. "Anyway, I think you'll be able to trust your team mates eventually. And if your ex partner shows up...well, I'm still around. You can always come to me, if things get bad."

"Thanks...Naru-kun," she said using her old nickname for him.

Naruto did a double take, then smiled. "No problem, B-chan." He said, returning the favor.

Blake smiled, glad that he remembered her nickname. It had been a while since anyone had called her that...

Naruto finished his sandwich in silence, then sat back. "We'll have to go back soon, or our teams will start to wonder where we are."

"That's true," Blake said after she had finished her sandwich, sitting back in the chair. She sighed lightly, knowing that she would have to put her ribbon back on. It didn't bother her as much as it usually did, but when she took it off, it was always uncomfortable for the first few hours or so. Picking up the accessory, she stood up. "I should go ahead and put this back on. I'll be right back," she said.

Naruto nodded and sighed. "Take your time, I'll be here." He said.

Blake nodded before going to the restroom. She needed a mirror in order to put the bow up exactly right so that it covered her ears and kept them hidden. a few minutes later, she returned with her bow remade. "Thanks for waiting Naru" she said with a light grin before asking if he was ready to go.

Naruto stood as Blake approached. "No problem, B-chan. I'm ready." He said, smiling his foxy grin. After paying, and leaving a tip, he was ready to roll.

Naruto walked quietly, reflecting on everything they had talked about. He still couldn't believe they'd known each other, so long ago. It seemed like fate, almost, that they would meet again now. But why? |

Blake was thinking a mile a minute as they walked back towards Beacon Academy. Who would have thought that after all this time she would meet up with Naru-kun again... |
