"Still can't believe you guys didn't wake me up for that, even if our co-captains were having a date," Amaya said annoyed.

Hikari blushed brightly. "It wasn't a date. Ark-san just wanted to ask me something in private." She said, not wanting Amaya to think she had lost already.

"It all happened so fast, though. There was no way to come and get you before the whole thing was over." Naruto said with a pout. Obviously, he didn't want to have left her out.

"Ark?" she asked as she turned towards him. She had a feeling that she already lost the duel for the quarterstaff/sword user, but honestly hoped that wasn't the case...

Ark turned towards Amaya with a raised eyebrow, having a feeling she wanted confirmation about what they were saying. "It's as they say. I just wanted to talk to Hikari in private, that's all. Then Sasuke showed up and all hell broke loose. If we could have gotten you, we would have. We're a team," he said.

Naruto nodded emphatically, honestly having no clue about the contest or the subtext of the conversation. "See, I told you." He said.

"Alright," she said with a soft sigh, glad that she still had a chance with Areku. Now all they had to do was talk to Ozpin before starting classes for the day, assuming that the headmaster didn't cancel classes because of this event.

Hikari was an obvious bundle of nerves by the time they found the headmaster. Anyone looking at her would realize that she was worried about something.

Noticing Kari's nerves, Naruto stepped in. "Calm down, Kari-chan. Everything is gonna be fine." He whispered to her. "Excuse me, headmaster?" He then called.

"Yes...Naruto?" Professor Ozpin asked once he realized who was calling his name. He was curious as to why the fox and heir to the Starr family was standing in front of him at such an early hour. "I'm assuming that one or both of you have something that requires my assistance?"

Seeing Naruto hesitate, Hikari stepped up. "Something happened last night. Something very troubling that we have to tell you about immediately." She said, the concern in her voice obvious. Once she was sure he was listening- and that no one else was around- she explained in detail the events of the night before. "We have every reason to believe that Sasuke will come back, and that he will harm anyone who gets in his way. That's why we came to you as soon as we got up this morning." She finished.

"I see...This is indeed troubling news. Hopefully this Sasuke person didn't get whatever it was he was looking for...and that he doesn't come back. Though why do I feel that isn't the case?" he asked with a light sigh as he brought two fingers to rub his temples. "...What was he here for anyways?" he asked.

This time, Naruto spoke up, seeing Hikari glance at him for an answer. "It's hard to tell, but I think it has something to do with Areku-san. He's the one Sasuke-san confronted, and he seemed to be trying to get some information out of him." He answered honestly.

Ozpin looked at Ark, awaiting an answer from the young man. It would only be from him that he could get all the answers when it concerned this Sasuke person. "Obviously I'm going to tell the other students about this, especially since it's too much of a risk not to. You four should probably tell your friends as well about this Sasuke, but I'll leave anything personal out of my explanation," he said.

"Before I came here, my family and clan were murdered and my clan home was burned to the ground. I've been looking for answers ever since. It's my main agenda for coming here. Sasuke coming here last night...has apparently answered my inquiries about who was the cause of it. The Clan of Uchiha...though I think someone else is behind them, paying for their services" Areku answered with a light sigh.

Hikari looked at Ark quickly, surprised. "Oh..." She couldn't think of anything else to say. It would just sound too fake if she tried.

"Not a clan. It's just Sasuke and his brother, although...as far as I know, his brother has been missing for years. Sasuke is the only one left." Naruto said, not knowing how to address the other part of his team mate's reveal.

"Uchiha...Naruto-san, what was Sasuke's brother named?" Hikari asked suddenly. Naruto answered with the name Itachi, and her face turned pale as snow. "Oh, my God. Itachi-sensei." She whispered.

"You know one of the two Uchiha brothers?" Ozpin asked, surprised. He had heard about Itachi and Sasuke before, as well as their other member of the clan before Itachi killed them all, supposedly anyways. "I knew of their exploits, but I never heard of your clan Ark, or of the attack on it, my sincere apologies."

Areku was also surprised about Hikari revealing that she knew of Itachi and even had her for a teacher. "Kari-chan...do you think you can get in contact with him?" He asked quickly before hearing Ozpin's apology and waving it off, claiming that he didn't need to apology for what he didn't know.

Hikari nodded a bit shakily. "Yes. Itachi-sensei was a tutor my parents hired a long time ago. He couldn't stay all the time, but he would return a few times a year to teach me. He taught me how to make a weapon, and helped me make my scissor blades. I have known him since I was very young, and I always...looked up to him. He called me "little sister" and he was the only tutor who never expected too much from me. I...yes, I can contact him. I'm sure of it." She said, clearly shaken by the revelation that her teacher was related to the man she had met the night before.

"Areku Tenjin, if I hire him as a professor here, will you be able to put aside your differences with the man?" Professor Ozpin asked as he saw the young man in question think about it for a few seconds. He just hoped that Areku could do as he was asked and put his personal issues aside.

"If Itachi had nothing to do with that incident...then I can put my differences aside. But I want to hear him say that he had no knowledge of the attack first before I make any final decisions. If that hinders my enrollment, then I'm willing to deal with it then," Areku replied getting a slight gasp from Amaya who had been quiet this whole time.

"Ark...you wouldn't leave the team, would you?" She asked in surprise, getting a stronger one when he nodded.

"I will not be taught by a murderer nor will I stay around for him to finish the job, or his brother. I have scrolls, and I'm sure there's a sealed vault somewhere on the burned remains that survived the fire," he replied, not realizing he was upsetting both females in the room.

Hikari held back her dismay. She wasn't too worried about this particular issue, she had confidence that her old tutor had nothing to do with the death of Ark's clan. "I will contact him, then. Depending on where he is at the moment, it shouldn't take him too long to get here. By tonight, at the latest." She said.

"Alright, and thank you all for the warning. If this was Hogwarts, I'd be sure to give you all some type of Housepoints," he said with a light chuckle before politely dismissing them.

As they were dismissed, Hikari couldn't help the little giggle that escaped her. "He's got an odd sense of humor." She said, turning to head towards class.

"Okay...so, when are you going to contact Itachi?" Naruto asked.

"During class. I have a way of contacting him without sending a message or using words."

"How is that even possible?" Amaya asked curiously.

Hikari reached into her shirt, and brought out a small silver necklace in the shape of a star. "It's difficult to explain, but this locket uses energy signatures to send messages. It's imprinted with Itachi-sensei's energy signature, and he has one imprinted with mine. All I have to do is touch the charm with my own energy, and he will feel his locket respond by heating up. That way, he'll know that I'm trying to contact him, and he'll come to me, using his locket to track my energy signature. It works both ways, but neither of us has ever used it before." She said.

"that's actually quite interesting" Amaya responded as she looked at the necklace with genuine curiosity, wondering just how it locked onto each other's unique energy signature. She had a feeling that Hikari didn't know how that part worked, so didn't bother asking"

Naruto nodded. "It is pretty cool. That Itachi guy must be pretty skilled. Hey, we're almost late! Let's go!" He shouted suddenly, running for their first class.

Both Areku and Amaya looked at each other before laughing and following the fox boy. Ark knew that the teachers wouldn't like it if Team HANA were late for the first day of classes. He also wanted to talk to Team RWBY and JNPR in private before Ozpin's public announcement about what they just told him. To not warn the others about a sociopath was just insane.

They made it to class with time to spare, thankfully, and managed to round up teams RWBY and JNPR to talk. "Listen, guys, we need to tell you all something really important before class starts." Hikari whispered urgently.

"What's going on?" Ruby asked in a concerned whisper.
