Name: Nisshoku (Avatar)

It had barley been a week now, since that battle. It all still felt like a dream, and for a moment Nisshoku paused at a window of the large castle where he now resided with many of the comrads and friends he had managed to make along the way. He had woken up within the very field where he had first been discovered by Chrom, his sister and Frederick. It was hard to believe all of them had been through so much already. He reached up to run a hand through his hair. Repairs had been begun all over the land from the battle.

It was slipping into a time of healing, of new beginnings...or it was supposed to be. Part of Nisshoku had yet to fully forgive himself for his part in it all. He was ment to become a vassal for the fell dragon...because of this, there had been a future from which so many had died and suffered. A slight pain formed within his head and he flinched a bit, he had been getting odd headaches, ever since waking up again from the battle. He knew he should tell Chrom, but he couldn't bring himself to. The other was finally happy, spending time with his daughter.

Those from the future had yet to return to their time fully, so many of them were enjoying time with their parents of this time. He had thought of visiting Morgan, the young one was most likely in town training or visiting the people. All of this was still so much to take in. So many people suffered and lost their lives, while the land and it's people were scarred from all of this fighting and suffering. He turned away from the window, moving out of the very room he had been within. He needed to talk to Chrom, to tell him these feelings and about the headaches.

He did not wish to keep anything from his closest friend, the other trusted him with everything including his life. He would do the same. Moving down the hall, many of the people within said hello to him, and he hellow in return. Many knew him throughout the land, and some of it was the bad side of things. He had yet to face many of the people, but he was used to some of the looks and the whispers. Unfortunatly his father had been right when he said it would be difficult for people to accept him once they found out what he was, what he was ment to do.

But that did not mean everyone had turned on him, his friends had stood by his side from the beginning. They had given him the strength to disprove his father's ambitions for him, as well as his 'destiny'. For that he would always be greatful and within their debt. That ment he needed to step up and stop feeling sorry for himself. He couldn't hide things or take them all on on his own...right?

Yarne ran freely through the field alongside his mother, both of them in their rabbit forms. When they were battling the fell dragon Grima, Yarne assumed that he would disappear afterwards, but oddly enough he stayed. It was a nice feeling knowing that he wouldn't disappear, that he would still be him. He wasn't sure how the him here would turn out, but difference was the him here had his parents, and did not have to worry so much about risen, and Grima.

Plus with two of them it would mean there would be more taguel when they each reproduced, and then their children reproduced, and so on. Soon the land would be flooding with taguel as fast as it floods with rabbits. Yarne was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't see the snake that he stepped on, only hearing the hissing sound. He jumped up at the sound, going into a defensive position. "Risen! I heard risen. Come at me. I'll destroy you," he yelled out, though his voice was laced with fear.

He pricked his ears at the chuckling of his mother as he saw her point to the snake, the species being a simple garden snake. Well that was embarassing, he thought to himself, his ears going back as he felt a blush creep onto his face. The two soon finished their run in the fields and went on their way to their current home. After the final battle his parents moved to Ylisse, while, at first Yarne had traveled around in search of a safe haven but his search was all for naught as nowhere was truly safe.

Then he heard that Nisshoku had been found. Nisshoku was one of his most precious friends , the one that had saved them all, and kept them safe. Yarne hadn't given up hope that he was alive after the battle and had kept a lookout for him as he traveled. When he heard that he was safe, Yarne rushed back to Ylisse, hoping to see him, losing some of his nerve at the last minute though. His parents were living in Ylisse, and thus he stayed with them, content for a bit being near Nisshoku, not wanting to make him feel pressured, by being one of many to visit him. However he worried due to how people treated him. He didn't understand how they could treat someone who sacrificed so much for them, so badly. It just angered him.

As he walked through the village he couldn't help but wonder how Nisshoku was faring. "Maybe I should visit him..." he told himself. Saying goodbye to his mother he ran to the gates of the castle but stopped there. Then again maybe he should let him be...decisions could be so hard to choose.

Chrom seemed to be within a meeting at the moment, being the new Exhault of the kingdom took it's toll on him. Nisshoku leaned against the door to the throne room, watching the other work. Chrom caught sight of him, giving him a slight wink that caused a bit of a blush to form on his cheeks. It was a little known fact that him and Chrom shared a ...deeper connection. Many knew they were very close friends, but at the same time, the two of them were a bit more than that. Chrom was married however, so the two of them had never acted upon their feelings.

Nisshoku was aware of his own child in the future, as to who it was he had said child with was still a mystery at the moment. Yilisse was full of beautiful women, and he had had the pleasure of getting to know many of them through his travels and his years here. However, he had yet to take on a mate or a wife. He sighed, turning to slip out of the room before Chrom could rope him into diplomatic talk. He walked towards the grand hall, thinking it best to head into town to see how things were going. A familiar form caught his eye as he neared, a tall slender male, who looked a lot like his mother.

Nisshoku smiled, it was the Taguel Yarne. The two of them had had the pleasure of becoming friends and working together through the fight that had befallen them with Grima. For a moment, he thought of calling out to the young rabbit shapeshifter, but he hesitated. What if the other thought ill of him or was unsure of him as others were. He knew this thought was a foolish one. His friends cared deeply for him, they had his back no matter what, and he had theirs. He shouldn't have been so worried about all of this, but his heart still slowly began to race. He stepped forward, mocing to the doors. "Yarne" he says slowly, looking over at the other.

Yarne jumped in surprise. "Nisshoku you scared me. Don't sneak up on me like that," he whined. He then cracked a small smile. It's been a while how have you been...." Yarne immediately lost the smile thinking of the villagers. "Sorry about the villagers...I don't get why they talk like that, but don't ever worry. You have everyone else. We fought alongside you and stuff, and will never abandon you...I really hope you know that..." he gave a sheepish smile unsure of where the courage to say what he wanted to came from, but the moment he saw Nisshoku, he just wanted to try cheering him up.

"So what have you been doing these past weeks. I tried to find a safe haven where I wouldn't have to worry about dying and leaving the world as the last taguel...err well one of the last..." he smiled sheepishly again. He gave time for Nisshoku to respond before trying to think of what to say or do next. He felt nervous and he couldn't figure out why. Maybe it was because of how long it had been since they had seen each other...

Or maybe it was something else... Yarne shook his head, to clear his thoughts, not considering the fact that he probably looked strange to a passerby, and Nisshoku. They were just friends and would always be that way. That's just how it was, nothing would change it. He really needed to get his head off of the subject so he thought and thought of something to say or do before finally making a decision. "Um you want to walk around the village with me?" he asked shyly.

Yarne smiled at him, which coaxed a small smile out of Nisshoku in return. However, when the other spoke of the villagers, his smile faultered a bit. He knew the other was merely trying to help, to cheer him up, but thinking about that stuff...and bringing it up was slightly painful. He knew that the others would be there for him, but it was not like he could just shove off the villager's opinions of him. They were Chrom's people...his people now in a way. The other brought up what had been going on with him for the time while Nisshoku had been away, though he dreaded answering the question of his own activities. "Honestly...I don't know" he said quietly.

"I remember little after disappearing when the fell dragon....I....was defeated" he says. A sickening feeling spreading through him. It was still hard and slightly disgusting to say that he and the other had been one in the same....As much as he had wanted and tried to say they were not, it was true. "I remember Chrom and his sister finding me once more...helping me up as they had before" his eyes moved down to his hand as he remembered it. "He welcomed me back and said it was over...but before that...nothing" it was not a full lie, but for now it would have to do. His eyes moved back up to the Taguel before him, watching the strong young man be so shy made him smile once more, warmer and more affectionatly.

The other brought up the option of a walk within the village. Usually, before, he wouldn't have thought twice about saying yes and going with his friend, now however, he was uncertain. The looks and whispers was what he was not looking forward to. He had to face them sooner or later though right? He took a deep breath, slowly nodding to the other. "Alright" he says, decending the steps to be by the other now. Yarne was taller than he, but Nisshoku guessed part of that came from his Taguel blood. His mother was quite tall as well. He smiled, "shall we?" he asked, turning in the direction of the city. He hid his nerves and fear for now, he was the royal Tactician and more than that as well...these feelings were unbecoming and slightly pathetic. But then why would they not leave?

Midorikawa 12-19-2013 09:57 PM

Yarne smiled brighter as he saw that he managed to coax a small smile from Nisshoku. He lost his smile though as he heard that he didn't have any memory of the time between Grima's defeat, and the re-discovery of Nisshoku. He wasn't sure of what to say to the tactician to help cheer him up. He tried to think of what would make the tactician smile again. "Earlier I was running through some fields with my mom and I heard a simple garden snake hiss. I of course got scared and jumped like ten feet in the air. My mother laughed at me and showed me the snake. It was really embarrassing...and I guess now that I think about it. It's embarrassing to talk about it. I'm pathetic," he said, telling him the story hoping it would cheer him up.

"...You didn't have your memory after Chrom found you the first time right?" Yarne asked suddenly His mind acting unusually sharp at the moment. "And again you woke up to Chrom without any memory. Do you think there's a connection between the incidents...to maybe your true past. Morgan as well...he doesn't remember his past still either..." he looked at him cautiously, watching his reaction, hoping he hadn't angered the man or annoyed him with his thoughts and questions. If he had then he couldn't imagine how disappointed he would be in himself for being so stupid and intrusive.

He pricked his ears as he heard villagers, insulting Nisshoku. He growled slightly at their words. It really ticked him off that they were talking about him like that. Not wanting to listen to them, or force Nisshoku to, he grabbed his hand and began running out of the village, not stopping until they were a small distance away from the residents and their harsh words. He looked down at Nisshoku again, to once again see for his reactions.

Kiyoto 12-30-2013 06:54 PM

The other spoke of possible connections between the first time he had woken up as well as the other. Potentially as to his child as well. For a moment his mind began to slip back into thought a bit at this, he had actually thought the same a few times. He sighed, what was it that he was missing? He looked to the other a bit as he heard a growl come from him. It was then that he noticed the people staring and talking, his eyes adverting. The Taguel grabbed his hand, and he blinked having not expected it at all. They were heading towards the gate, out to the lands. They were safer now, since the wars had ended, but he still could not push away the thoughts and feelings that were within his mind and heart.

His eyes moving to the male who still had a hold of his hand as well. He noticed the other's dislike of the way those people had been speaking and a light warm smile formed on his lips. For being one who has been labeled a coward, he was indeed sweet and kind none the less. It was refreshing to be out and about as well with someone who did not see him as a threat or evil spawn. He took a breath, speeding up his step to stay by the taller man's side. He did not wish to lag behind when the other was attempting to cheer him up like this. It would be rude and unkind, niether of which he was. He looked up at the calm and blue sky, it was a beautiful day to be out for a walk anyways.

The tactician by his side seemed content, and thus Yarne himself was content. He then began walking, just observing their surroundings. The smell of the flowers, the sound of the wind rustling the grass and leaves, the clear blue sky, all of it was amazing to his heightened taguel senses. He loved being outside in nature, away from the bustling streets of well people. "Nature is truly amazing don't you think?" he asked, though it was intended more as a statement than a question. After they walked around for a bit, he unsure of what to say, he found a nice spot near some shade. Walking over he plopped onto the ground and simply looked up at the sky. "I love watching the clouds and making shapes from them. The same with the stars, plus nature is so quiet and peaceful, much less threatening than humans," he mused, watching the clouds lazily move through the sky.
